      The Lango-Luo language is derived from Acholi.

    And what do you say about the counting of the muzee in the youtube Ancient Lango? Did you check this? You are confusing people but start with simple research within the people locally.

    • @adela6505
      @adela6505 2 роки тому

      Lango are originally eastern nilotic. Lets not use a 90 year old language that was introduced by British as a determination of ethnic identity. There's a generation of Lango in Uganda that is using politics to rub away the lango eastern nilotic Ateker identity i don't know why? You cant hate yourself and extinguish away your heritage simply because you quarelled with your brother.

    Well, History can be rewritten after comparisons of cultural and dialect similarity. But the reality is that Lango are not Nilotics. Luo are the Nilotics. Lango are not Nilotics but Nilo Hamites. The Nilohamites includes:
    South Sudan
    -Toposa
    -Otuho
    The Bari of Juba
    Uganda
    -Karamoja
    -Iteso
    -Kumam
    -Lango
    Kenya
    -Turukana
    -Kalenjin
    -Massai
    -Iteso
    These groups are called the Maa of Nilo Hamites. Lango are not the Luo. It is because of intermarriages with the Luo. Read about the Maa migrations.

    • @the_miltonian
      @the_miltonian  2 роки тому +1

      That however is debatable. Yes Lango are not Luos. We only speak Luo. But how do you call the bigger group that inlcludes both the Nilotics and Nilohamites?

      John ive noticed there is a deliberate effort to link Lango to Luo as ethnicity and to rub way the Ateker cultural heritage whch is so sad I wonder hy? Just because someone quarelled with his bother doesnt mean they should extinguish their cultural heritage from them. This poor identity has made us weak and lost as a people.
