The Best New Restaurant in America is a Sandwich Shop in New Orleans | Bon Appétit - Навчання та стиль
I like the fact that he admits that he uses other restaurant recipes. Most chefs wont admit that and will try to take credit for themselves. What a guy
Sblodex Most restos were inspired from existing recipes, you cant proudly claim anything of a gimmick or pioneering of a new patent at this time and age. We live in a world of refinement, not invention.
This guy is really laid back and cool. Love his attitude
The coolest thing about this place is the dude who owns it seems to really enjoy being there. Probably makes the sandwiches taste a whole lot better.
As a New Orleans resident I can confirm that this place is AMAZING. That cabbage salad is perfection.
Will you go out with me?
Penny Metzger uptown or downtown?
Got people here who can't make scrambled eggs, critiquing this man's business
I find this guy and his place a refreshing departure from the stuffy, elitism in many modern kitchens. While other places boast of being farm to table, vegan, organic etc, this guy says "hey, why can't food be fun. Why does it always have to be healthy, original, or fancy? "
THE TRUE AMERICAN WAY!
Farm to table is something to push, though, because you’re supporting the local every day men and women rather than big corporations. There’s nothing elitist about it.
Turkey & the Wolf is only a few blocks away from my house. My friends and I joke that it's like a second home! So pumped that they have been getting all the attention they deserve their first year. Kick ass food and good vibes all around ✌️
If you're in NOLA, don't miss out on Big Ass Pasta Monday or their Cabbage Salad!
This guy was in true detective, season 1, matthew nailed it
hahaha
Bon Appetit's best *new* restaurant lists each year are interesting with #1 often going to quirky, eclectic joints. It's their thing. It would be easy to pick an upmarket resto with a degustation menu destined for a couple of Michelin stars. Many would complain but most would get it. Instead BA once again goes in a different direction. "Turkey and the Wolf" doesn't make me do cartwheels but I'd definitely give it a try.
there are a lot of small shops like this where I live, so much fun to go eat there. A whole new experience and completely different from traditional restaurants
I loved this video, looking forward to eat there on my next roadtrip.
If this dude met and teamed up with Max from Max's sandwich shop in London we would either have Armageddon or world peace. Either way it was be weird.
This guy has such a great attitude. It's food, why shouldn't it be fun? Classy food has its place, but there's some art to incorporating all these "peasant" foods into something accessible
Badicus Vibesimus peasant foods also eventually become "high food." That's how it always starts in every culture and in every country :)
Absolutely love this guy
I like this guy, he seems really genuine.
Damn...I've watched this video a few times and just noticed the rollerblading intro. From a longtime rollerblader, I love that you captured this!
This place sounds great I gotta try this!
Can we talk about the fact he was riding some sick skates! What's the deal with that??? 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I live in New Orleans haven't been here yet, gonna have to try it now looks awesome
thats quite an aesthetic
Is it just me or does this dude look like the modern day "mario"
Love New Orleans. One of the best places in the country. Gotta try this place next time.
Ahh... my dream restaurant to own/work at.
Nice one bro! Wish you luck
I want to go here because of his personality. What a funny guy!
This guy is the boss and leader many more people deserve.
It looks like a fun place to work at!
this kind of became my favourite place on earth lol
I happened upon Staplehouse in Atlanta several weeks ago and had the best restaurant meal I've ever had, anywhere. I found out after the fact that Staplehouse was Bon Appetit's best new restaurant in America in 2016. I'm going to New Orleans in November and will absolutely be hitting up Turkey and the Wolf. I wonder how many consecutive Bon Appetit BNR's I can hit in annual succession?
At least he is honest about stealing that sandwich.
I am. Your 600,000th subscriber!
T&TW is perfect, Earl Grey tea -- smiling staff, all good for New Orleans. I am a native. Thanks.
Paulette Perrien
نفسي افتح مطعم زي كذا بجدة. رح يكسر الدنيا😍
I want a environment like this where i live.
Cool Sandwiches feed the hungry on a budget.. Restaurants got character feels like an average home. Well done sir!!
the mismatched novelty plates and cups is so dope
This place really really lives up to the hype. A must when in NOLA.
This guy is my hero.
Wow, everything looks amazing here. Shame I’m in the UK
This guy is a living legend
Reality Show gold like Ace of Cakes crew but sandwiches
Anybody that Action Bronson fucks with is good in my book (featured in 2014's " Lamb Necks, Alligators, and the Blues: Fuck, That's Delicious (Episode 5))". Mason has culinary chops, trust.
This is what Mac Demarco would be if he became a cook.
He seems like a cool guy.
Can the Bon Appetit test kitchen please, have an episode that includes this guy cooking a recipe for a episode ?
I Appreciate a man who drinks pbr talls
My type of place
I want that sandwich
Finally a likable hipster. Looks like a great place to feed the old diabetes. Check out the video explaining some of their works of sandwich art.
Ironic how the non-Americans complaining about America in these comments sure love watching an American youtube channel about food and cooking in the US.
hey
I'm gonna Bayou a drink
bruh am i the only one who loves this guy???
Well deserved, congrats guys! When in Nola, I always make sure to stop by Turkey & the Wolf. Their gumbo special was absolutely incredible. The collard green melt is a must try as well. Everyone in the comment section that is hating has clearly never tried ya'lls food :)
He's a laid back Bob Belcher.
I’ve lived in nola for a year now and the way this guys talks and the style of his restaurant and menu is New Orleans in a nutshell. He was so meant to live here
This place looks fun, and the owner seems very down to earth. I'm sure he can whip up a very tasty sandwich...but what the hell makes this the "best new restaurant in America?"
Im from New Orleans and i live there so im a New Orleans girl and in the south instead of "You guys" we say "Yall"
He looks like he could be lizard king's brother
Does anyone here have an aggressive inline background a was fuckin amazed how he entered the video with a royale??
When in doubt, ask Mom
My Name Is Earl got himself a restaurant??

That dude is as cool as they come. Almost Steve McQueen cool but in a goofy kind of way.
That’s steve harrington
Mason Hereford is my hero
I used to live on the same block as that place, never ended up going to it
Columbum I haven't been there yet either. It's not been there long. It was a bbq spot last year with a dick pitmaster.
What's with the negativity? I'd have those sandwiches any time O.o! It's so rare to get a decent looking sandwich over here where I live. People have a weird concept of sandwiches and bread...
If I’m in New Orleans the last thing I’d eat is a sandwich if I’m being honest.
0:43 Bouncy balls dont eat.......................
Hellllooo
Is this a Bon appétit feature or a Portlandia skit?
Cause theyre in N.O. they get a pass...if it was Portland....no
Uh, so do you get a free moustache and trucker cap with each meal?
Comment section here is a toilet, move on.
I am not sure the video helped to explain what made this America's best new restaurant. I have to believe there was something unique and special. I just didn't get it on the basis of the video.
what exactly did you find misogynistic about my comment?
how is anything she even said related to gender lol
y'all serious?? damn I'm about to open a restaurant.
That's a lot of pig!
Charlottesville!! Bellair Market! This guy knows what's up
Grown up kids
2:18 - "two, fried porn tortillas"
Am I crazy or does he look a lot like Ralph from Cake Boss?
He stole a sandwich.. wow
Stein's is better, much better
Hippy hipster.....
Tried Pabst once... got horrendously sick... then again, I'm Australian, where we have real beer that isn't filled with HFCS and horse piss...
We have the best beer in the world bro. Nice try
Why are Bon Appétit comments always shit?

Poeple dosent care about you

No town is safe from the hipster food movement
I get a vague sense of dread watching this video. Something at this restaurant is... off.
