I’m really going to miss videos like this and your passion to keep this hobby genuine, we have lost a huge part of this hobby, prayers to Windsor , little frag and family, RIP Jake Adams
Yes, please let us know? I ran into this video and an so happy to see these awesome individuals working towards getting corals to thrive again. Lord knows the ocean needs the help. But reading your comment makes me think this is no longer the case.
Thanks Jake for taking us to the Soloman Island for this beautiful journey. Love the new project of coral farming and kudos to you and your team for doing this. Keep it up buddy.
I would have to say this is the best reef video that I saw...I am talking about all the UA-cam videos about reef tanks. We live vicariously through you Jake. Hope to see you at Reef-A-Palooza NYC.
Great video, awesome seeing you work with the locals. I’ve been to palawan and it was quite obvious that careless tourism causes the most damage. Those untouched by flocks of tourist were the most beautiful thing I could imagine. I just wish the governments of these countries would open up coral export in exchange for reef restoration projects. It could really boost local economy and benefit us reefers. They’re about to miss their chance as state side aquaculture takes off.
What a beauty, am sure you feel been honoured to be part of the project, and am really honoured to watch your videos, aww Jake please keep those videos rolling when you can please.
Jake Adams you’re a beast son. A real inspiration. I got out of reefing 2 months ago (not for good) yet i still watch your awesome vids and live vicariously through you. Kudos to you my friend for living the Dream
Jake love the video Definitely in my most favorite video edit everything you’ve been ever posted shows what we have accomplished and saving our Reefs And what we are can accomplish in a hobby to save what we may be losing in the future and maybe have a way to come back anyhow I’m looking forward to meeting you and seeing you down at Palooza in New York this year thanks for the video always a pleasure to watch Jay
So Cool they're the nicest ppl,if you have the ability to help them they will help you! I can't believe how gorgeous it is under water and the corals down there😍 Great video bother!💜🌿✌
Nice video, i would love to see the sourroundins of that farm, where i see no corals, covered with corals, maybe some waste frags from de farm for example. great video loved to see it
I have an idea if that will help the populations To keep going create statues of real live living in coral And use them to create characters from Disney’s the Little mermaid from King Triton to Ariel flounder Sebastian Don’t forget to include the predatory fish sharks rays barracudas And when there are plenty of them catch them then use their do you need to unlock the genetic secrets of their prehistoric relatives Then we can get some of them to evolve back in existence if a bird can do that by itself is plenty of chance for fish and underwater creatures as well the bottom line is I want to see prehistoric species of fish in Shedd Aquarium it’s kind like Jurassic Park underwater You get it
There should be some business opportunity for these farmers selling direct to hobbyist cutting down 2 middle men in the chain. Like farmers selling via reefer builders to hobbyist and paying Reef Builders some percentage. Profits should go down to these communities otherwise wild corals will be at risk. Thanks Reef Builders for all this hardwork.
They need to ship and find ways to advertise the corals and judging by their situation, it doesn't seem like they can afford to just ship corals across the world to the big buyers in America and Europe.
Not all farmed corals meet the standards for export so plenty gets put back, not to mention the broodstock colonies can get large and is a standing crop of sexually active corals.
Wow this is an awesome idea how fulfilling as a hobbyist must this make you guys feel being so dutiful and assisting science PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION ON SUCH A LEVEL NIIIIIICE
WOW! What an amazing experience Jake 👍🙌 And G’day to Tim! Such lucky gents! I enjoy their solution to not having glue! What a stunning location for promoting reef regeneration , thank you so much for putting this footage together! 😍 Ania
I think we take for granted all the equipment and abundance in materials at our disposal to enjoy our hobby. Must be a bit humbling to work alongside those villagers.
Thanks for showing multiple kinds of coral. I've been following Mossy Earth and looking up other coral reef content but it's almost all from around Florida keys or where ever. The worldbuilding part of me wonders how much of coral can become a profitable resource. Like is some of the algae colours usable in dye or flavorings? My thinking is if this can become a profitable venture it might encourage government funding like with some tree farms and such.
Give my best regards to the people of Marau- I gave the first workshop there in 1997 with ICLARM, but the ethnic tension was horrible and resulted in the collapse of everything a few years later- good to see the people thriving again.
REALLY NICE VIDEO. When the corals gets sold to the wealthy reef keepers like us do you know how the profits will benefit the community. Like do you know if they have plans for improving their homes or living conditions or education facilities? Love the idea and your involvement is amazing!
We had them out of water for a long while just for the workshop but corals looked fine when we put them back. Normally the work is done while sitting in a few feet of water.
I would love to do this and its most definitely interesting. We cant do this around our island in Penang. Most parts populated by heavy sewage pipes at the Beach coming from buildings . The water has turned brown to deep green

@@whitehouse9999 He died from a blood clot on a plane back from bali.
I'm very thankful that there are still people who deeply care about our oceans
Man, id love to see the growth progress in 6 months to a year.
You're doing what I only dream of man ...
You are so lucky .

Now this is what Reef Building is all about! From the ground up! We need more of this all over the world! 😎

The heart and soul of our passion/hobby.
been looking for a DIY coral farming video for something to do on my small beach trips. This is simple and doable which is great for me! thanks
This is awesome to see the way they do things in the islands and where our corals come from and the aquaculture aspect of it. Great videos bro

Amazing Jake, keep doing the good cause
Coral farming here in NC is my retirement plan/ next career. Thanks for the great content and matavation to follow dreams.
Great to see that you are helping to kick-start the coral farm for the villagers and give them much needed income hope it all goes well
This is just insane every SPS reefers dream.
What I love is that you don't have to take more than what a good-size parrotfish might in order to make this all work.
Said 100,000 hobbyists
Great video from start to finish. Such a feel good positive story.

Great video Jake 👍👍👍
This channel needs more subscribers. Thanks for the content
Nice video, i would love to see the sourroundins of that farm, where i see no corals, covered with corals, maybe some waste frags from de farm for example.
great video loved to see it
Good job Jake and crew! Keep up the good work.
Good work they are beautiful 🙌🤗🥰
will visit there soon ;-)) Happy coral farming . Nice job!
Amazing project and outreach to the people of the islands. Wish I could be there with you on this epic endeavor.
miss you jake
Have to admit this is television quality content
A lot of UA-camrs can create television content but tv is dying anyways with Netflix and UA-cam taking over.
Awesome work Jake, i hope it goes well for you. Great video, i really enjoyed 👌
great project! excellent video!
Its so amazing what these people does to save and preserve marine biology💓

You're such a cool dude....Thank you for a great video.

Thanks Reef Builders for all this hardwork.
There are intensive permits and legalitys to import corals, making cutting out a wholesaler nearly inpossible.
They need to ship and find ways to advertise the corals and judging by their situation, it doesn't seem like they can afford to just ship corals across the world to the big buyers in America and Europe.
All corals are protected by CITES ( Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora ). Hence this will never happen.
Awesome video man. It’s so cool what you’re doing, you have the dream job!
Any plans to put some back on the reef to help restore? Or just farm for export?
Not all farmed corals meet the standards for export so plenty gets put back, not to mention the broodstock colonies can get large and is a standing crop of sexually active corals.
Nice farm: Good flow, dosing and light ;-)
Wow this is an awesome idea how fulfilling as a hobbyist must this make you guys feel being so dutiful and assisting science PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION ON SUCH A LEVEL NIIIIIICE
Thank you guys. Thank linkon
beautiful video jake! this is my dream job... keep on reefin!

Legit Reef Builders. Very nice!

What a special video
Great work! Great job! You always give good deep fruitful content!! I’m always waiting for you to drop a vid!
Dang Jake please keep ‘em coming. Where can I get some swags? Love the hat and T-shirt
Working to develop a nice line of Merchandise
you rock man🤙🏻💪🏼🇵🇷
What is the material of that circle things they to use to build a coral on it , is’t rock ?
I remember mini colonies as a kid coming in on those discs.
Trying to bring them back!
Where can i get one of your tshirts?
Looks amazing ! Love the work you are doing , keep it up
It's awesome the locals can generate income while helping the reefs.
What a cool experience!
Love your job ❤️
Give my best regards to the people of Marau- I gave the first workshop there in 1997 with ICLARM, but the ethnic tension was horrible and resulted in the collapse of everything a few years later- good to see the people thriving again.
5:33 It also has a Christmas tree worm living in it.
How can i get that tshirt you have on?
Coral are amazing animals.
Awesome documentary:-) thank you for sharing
Really cool species in Solomon.
Jake - have you considered an ecotour I come model, hobbyists pay to come and help farm corals?
REALLY NICE VIDEO. When the corals gets sold to the wealthy reef keepers like us do you know how the profits will benefit the community. Like do you know if they have plans for improving their homes or living conditions or education facilities? Love the idea and your involvement is amazing!
The first thing that new income goes towards is to pay for the kids to attend classes at school
Reef Builders 👍🏾 that’s how to help a community. 👏🏾👏🏾
Always great content. I love it. I’m getting one of those shirts.
Awesome video Jake reef on buddy!
Nice trip. Looks like the coral end up staying out of the water for a long time before they can get them attached to the plugs on the mesh, though.
We had them out of water for a long while just for the workshop but corals looked fine when we put them back. Normally the work is done while sitting in a few feet of water.
When do they start sales? Or are they already in the process I'd love to support any coral farming. To save the reef in any way possible.
Is this a Jake Adams startup venture? Intending to export to where? The program? Sooooo many questions ... Beautiful corals ...
The Studio is my startup, but the corals goina have to come from somewhere so might as well do it right.
Love your videos
Rip you are missed
Awesome video!
Wow ,Man , Jeez , I really had no idea , I know nothing . I'LL Never look at a Cora! the same again . I live in a bubble . Good Luck !
Amazing channel I've found woww!!!!
I would love to do this and its most definitely interesting. We cant do this around our island in Penang. Most parts populated by heavy sewage pipes at the Beach coming from buildings . The water has turned brown to deep green
Thanks for the amazing video and your efforts to bring this into a video
1 question - how long will the corals take to grow on the underwater tables?
I WANT THIS JOB SO BADLY!!!, I DONT EVEN CARE IF IT WOULD WASTE MY TIME JUST SEEING A CORAL TO GROW FOR 6 MONTHS. AND ITS NOT EVEN A WASTE OF TIME!!!
