Its so hard to talk about being gay and religion together, We all need to step out of these medieval way's of thinking and step into the future which should be being accepted for who you are with love, Instead of being judged for who you are with hate, Wake up people its 2018 not 1918 anymore, Also i'm gay and a christian and i'm pretty sure god love's us all the same way! 🥴

Considering historically their role was the exact opposite, from their inception, it's why more people than ever are thinking for themselves in 2023. Modern religion as we know it were designed with your servitude in mind, not in your service. In the not too distant future, these kinds of harmful, shaming teachings will be a thing of the past. Oh gosh, I remember prop8 was the catalyst for my coming out too but since my dad was a bishop I still went and protested against it while wearing rainbow clothes to sort of nudge/wink/hint to my dad as well as to my ward that I was gay.
Needless to say it was an interesting/humorous fail as people would scream insults at us and I would be standing there like "I'm sorry, I really am with you but I haven't come out to my dad yet", while looking like a multi-flavored snow cone.
Ugh, if I could just go back in time lol.

@American Ganja good luck with that, and what seems like your struggle with spirituality and probably sexuality. I mean no disrespect but you got onto this video through searching for it, I'm assuming. I am actually a man lol but I don't mind confusing people with my somewhat feminine ways, henny.
Please don't treat women with such disrespect and dated thinking either. I mean, yikes.
Hopefully you can lead with more humanity, that's what the world needs more of. More kindness and understanding of our differences.
      It doesn't separate us.
What you are doing by picking and choosing these verses to try and humiliate me or warn me and dismiss females of the world all together is separating us.
Please return safely and if God is what comforts you out there, than so be it but if people are comforted with the likes of another person of the same sex, don't judge them for that either.
We are all trying to come to our own interpretation of this world through a wide variety of lenses, you are ONLY 19. Gosh, I first came out when I was 13 to my brother's co-worker and danced around the topic through and post prop8 to my dad and now I'm 30 and can joke with my nieces and nephews about gay stuff and we laugh about it. I would never have imagined this being my reality when I look back at how miserable, depressed, and in hiding I was at 13. Hoping people wouldn't notice I was a little feminine because than that made me different and Lord forbid anyone being different when the church already had a cookie cutter plan for heterosexuals but I was nowhere in that plan because I didn't like the ladies. I say this long ass speech to your 19 year old ass because girl, get you some life experiences and find yourself.
      Girl.
      Gworl.
      Lady.

I’m A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I’m bisexual (much more gay tho lol), and yes I know it’s considered immoral/impure, but I also know what love is, and that’s one thing that I disagree with. I know God loves us no matter who we love. Yes, indiscriminate sex/promiscuity isn’t good, but love, and what those who are in love do, regardless of whether they’re male or female, should be able to be married and enjoy the inclusion in God’s church. You may disagree with me and that’s fine, you have that right, but this is my personal belief and I know God loves all of us, that we are all God’s children.
Thank you for reading this far, and if you are struggling, just know it will get better even if it doesn’t seem like it ever will. And even if I never meet you, you are in my prayers.

People always talk about how happy Mormons are.
The general consensus among many non-Mormons is that Smith was a con man surrounded by gullible people. A wolf among sheep.
But they, myself included, usually agree that despite that, they seem to be a very happy, peaceful crowd.
I've recently begun to suspect a somewhat sinister, though likely not intentional, reason for that happiness.
Anyone who doesn't conform is kicked out, excommunicated. After a period of evaluation, and failing in any attempts to "correct" the "errant" behavior that makes the person unhappy, the are removed from the flock.
They can only be accepted back if they decide they are ready to "fit in".
That's a major failing of the gayest religion on the planet...Thinking that its the person's behavior that makes them unhappy rather that the community's behavior in response.

And also conversion therapy is kinda contradictory has catholics praise the fact that god created each individual to his standards and these people that are using conversion therapy to get rid of homosexuality, aren’t you basically just saying to god that what you created doesn’t meet to ur standards and that in the bible and you pull up all these verses about how homosexuality shouldn’t exist like I feel like this is just going in circles like there isn’t a straight forward answer to this and if your so certain then shouldn’t it be an easy yes or no 🤷🏻‍♂️

seriously "don't leave the church because someone tells you you should"? no dump that shit as quickly as possible while remaining safe. that doesn't mean don't think critically about your personal situation, but the church as an organization is abusive towards its LGBT members end of story. establish some boundaries and don't hang around to experience more abuse. that's coming from a gay used-to-be-mormon

Because the "majority" is the Mormon gay community is male. There's been MORE issues with men than with woman. HOWEVER, that being said, it was an immediate decision to 'deal' with this issue male related BECAUSE alot of the activities were divided by sex boys had their activities and boy scouts and the girls had theirs and girls camp. Very seldom was the issue of gay being brought up when it was youth activities night wherein comingling with BOTH parties girls and boys.

I really have to laugh at some of these guys who claim that they were never brave enough to come out to the family!......well as feminun, as they act with all the limp wrists and the hand waving ,.....the choice in clothes,... with every word they say while talking,...Im sure it made it very easy for EVERYONE to see how gay you are,....Even Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder could see you!.....

It's not surprizing that after abandoning the observance of the 10 commandments, these young people abandon their religion. You either follow your religion and morals, or you look for all sorts of fallacious reasons to abandon your religion and morals.
