I think the reason why is many members who are gay and Mormon probably will never fully come out while staying in the church given how the church treats gay people .
I recently moved to Utah as a gay man and am not Mormon but I know many people who have left the church over this singular issue. If so, that won't happen but if it's expected that people have more love and sympathy for those who feel they can't stay a member of the church because of these feelings, then yeah I can understand that and even agree with it, even if I don't agree they should just give up on the church and leave.
"You are loved" just such a powerful sentiment regardless of who you are.
I was kicked out of the mormon church for being gay it was so painful but im over it i think stop the hate please
At 7 years old I knew I was attracted to the same gender wanting to hold hands and kiss a boy
God told me my attraction was CLEAN
He said He had provided a way for same gender attraction that was His ways not man's ways
Later learned these were the two Covenants buried by the church
Polygamy Covenants is also female same gender marriage
United Order is also male same gender marriage
The ways God provided about which He promised
Makes no sense to me why someone would participate in a religion that portrays you as evil. Why not start your own church?
This is where I’m confused like I would think that a ‘sin’ would be something that you could change to better yourself as a human being how are you suppose to change being gay, u physically can’t unless your suppress ur feelings
And also conversion therapy is kinda contradictory has catholics praise the fact that god created each individual to his standards and these people that are using conversion therapy to get rid of homosexuality, aren’t you basically just saying to god that what you created doesn’t meet to ur standards and that in the bible and you pull up all these verses about how homosexuality shouldn’t exist like I feel like this is just going in circles like there isn’t a straight forward answer to this and if your so certain then shouldn’t it be an easy yes or no 🤷🏻♂️
I can’t believe these people went through all this and are still members of the cult
I was mormon for like 2 months before leaving they couldn't pray the gay away 🤷♀️
YESSSS!!! So relatable! 🌈
Nobody should be treated like these ppl r treated
Why is there only one comment here?
Idk
HELLO I HAVE SX WITH 5 MORMONS MEMBER
there are many very macho, masculine men in the church who need to come forward instead of always seeing these slim girlish talking guys always fighting the good fight! Come out men!
Why are there so many Nordics in Mormon world?
Legendaaa Brasileira por favor 😭😭
I hate that the church is being a coward really they are saying they except gays but really what they are saying is yes your gay but if you think, say, or act upon that your sining so they saying we don’t except gays but saying like a coward it just horrible like can’t you see how this affects people negatively, like this is just horrible
Obviously leave the church...
seriously "don't leave the church because someone tells you you should"? no dump that shit as quickly as possible while remaining safe. that doesn't mean don't think critically about your personal situation, but the church as an organization is abusive towards its LGBT members end of story. establish some boundaries and don't hang around to experience more abuse. that's coming from a gay used-to-be-mormon
@@actingout4462 Exactly!
So... Where’s the women representation? Or Trans representation?
Not every single kind of person needs to be represented in every single video, gosh.
Because the "majority" is the Mormon gay community is male. There's been MORE issues with men than with woman. HOWEVER, that being said, it was an immediate decision to 'deal' with this issue male related BECAUSE alot of the activities were divided by sex boys had their activities and boy scouts and the girls had theirs and girls camp. Very seldom was the issue of gay being brought up when it was youth activities night wherein comingling with BOTH parties girls and boys.

I say not love, but respect.
Sing it with me!
"We're coming for your children!"
By the way how many Group-Gropes have you attended? Just curious!
It's probably like being a hypocrite. The religion teaches that it is a sin, as does Christianity in general. Why force yourself on the religion? Just leave.
My EX Fience is from Utah and Mormon. He used me for 7 years because he was afraid to admit he is gay. I paid the price. He lives in a lie. He destroyed me. He's dishonest and he lives in a lie.
You can not be Gay and claim salvation in the Lds church. Period. You will constantly be at odds with centuries old doctrines and a lifestyle incongruient with the lds doctrines as they appear now
I really have to laugh at some of these guys who claim that they were never brave enough to come out to the family!......well as feminun, as they act with all the limp wrists and the hand waving ,.....the choice in clothes,... with every word they say while talking,...Im sure it made it very easy for EVERYONE to see how gay you are,....Even Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder could see you!.....
It's not surprizing that after abandoning the observance of the 10 commandments, these young people abandon their religion. You either follow your religion and morals, or you look for all sorts of fallacious reasons to abandon your religion and morals.
Being Gay is a choice. Loving someone is a choice. Everything is a choice. You don't just love someone because your heart tells you, it's your Brain making a choice.
Living your truth is a choice.
LOL. Yeah, right. Did you choose to be heterosexual? Did you *choose* to not like men? I don't think so, because *tastes* are not a choice.
Rick Spackman+ So you can just stop loving your family and friends and life partner anytime you like? And you chose to be straight? Why are you even here?
@@dogsaretheworsttheyarenotm9647 To make choices!
@@irenesleatherpants Yes, I choose to be heterosexual, moron. A heart doesn't think it's a muscle. YOU choose everything through a functioning brain, if your brain doesn't work you can no longer choose.
