- After I heard the sad news about Alan White's passing, I was approached by the family to contribute a video to the tribute concert that was being held in his honour in Seattle. I put together this video using archive photos from my personal collection or photos provided to me.
I think if I’d realised just how much of the rich history of rock music Alan had been involved in I would have been in permanent awe but due to his calm and easy going nature, he never made you feel anything other than at ease.
I hope the video encourages you to dig out a record he played on and enjoy the musical gift he gave us.

@OliverWakeman , I consider myself so very lucky to have met you, Alan, Steve, Benoit David, and Chris in Kansas City, at a show where the air conditioning gave out, causing at least one of your keyboards to fail! I was the fat, (very) sweaty, fuzzy guy who met you after the show at the meet & greet, complimenting you on an amazing show, and asking you to please give my regards to your father. I'll never forget how nice Alan was after a show that was incredibly hot, and how humble Alan was, given his long time playing with rock and roll royalty even before he joined Yes! What a wonderful tribute this was to Alan White!

Thank you, Oliver. I caught the "In the Present" tour in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium. Another excellent Yes show, I've never seen a bad one. Having seen your father play with Yes, it was a real thrill to see one of his sons on stage. Excellent job my friend. Come back to Nashville anytime...

Thanks for sharing this tribute Oliver. Very nicely done. Alan is the drummer I've seen live more than any other drummer. So glad to have those memories of watching and listening to him. I'm saddened to hear of his passing.

Wow what a class young man. Yes everyone misses Alan. Remember seeing Yes at the cow palace in San Francisco and Alan doing a drum solo and he was on a revolving setup and it turned and he got on a completely different drum kit that all the drums coned out facing the audience. Have never been able to find any video of it but it’s got to be out there somewhere
Very cool. I saw one of the shows, in Milwaukee. I thought David did a decent job, and knew it would be a good opportunity for the band to perform tracks off of Drama. Great to see another member of the Wakeman Family on keys.

He had tô replace BRUFORD,1of the greatest Drummers of all time just like you had to for your father's place [no introduction necessary].
