  • In this episode I am leaving Freetown after a fruitless attempt to have my motorcycle looked at. The mechanic never showed up for work and I didn't think their initial diagnosis of valve clearance was correct. I have no choice but to just keep going towards Côte d'Ivoire, which is the first country where I have a shot of finding a mechanic. Sierra Leone is a small country and in one day of riding, I already pass through more than half of the country! It is extremely lush everywhere and dotted with tiny villages. I am even enjoying an awesome single trail until.. I encounter a rather dodgy bridge..

Happy she turned around, but also glad that she continued to the bridge. I probably would have e turned around long before she did, but then would have missed the beautiful view. I wasn't the one riding, but I'd say it was definitely worth the detour.

not really.. i would be happier if Norali would cross that bridge... especially, when seconds later she rode much narrower path in the woods.. of course i would be terrified too from the risk of bad luck... but she is great and in many cases in her carrier, i think she could go thru and not turn around.

I had to smile when you were asked if you were a doctor 🙂. Explanation: I am one, and we very often had to ride motorcycles to do our work in the bush, as no car, not even 4x4 would have been any use at all in those contexts, especially during rainy season. It is still a very common situation in West and Central Africa. Hence the association woman on bike = doctor.

I loved her comment at the Adventure Bike Festival she attended. When asked if her parents worried she said that she thinks her veiwers get more concerned than her folks, since they now can watch her, Before when she traveled they would get a message a month or so. (got some great photos thank you) I know you’re not a fan of this kind of presentation stuff, but you were brilliant, A natural. So just wanted to sincerely thank you for coming to the festival and meeting us fans.
Wifey and I have been watching you for years now, indeed, you are the only one on UA-cam who she wants to watch.
I might have been telling her a few “Porkies” as I said that you were probably going be at the festival this year, so she should come, as I had indeed written to both you, and the organisers, to try and pursuade you to come. Bloody Hell, it worked… Probably…Thank me later everyone..

I bet she notice more country side scene when looking at the video then when she actually ride thru it! I could be wrong! it would be ineresting if she can comment on what's in her mind when actually riding thru the jungle!

There was a mining camp nearby which was like an English Village and which had its own Rugby Team for which I played. We used to combine it with the Freetown team to go and play in Liberia, Monrovia. Excellent that you did a full foot recon of the bridge. Great drone footage from there as well. The wrong trail take? lol just an opportunity for an interesting side adventure. Great video.
