Chaos at Mauritania - Senegal land border |S7 - E25|

- In this episode, I am doing a monster ride from Tidjikja in Mauritania all the way to Saint Louis in Senegal. 700 kilometers AND a border crossing! The reason for this crazy day is that I barely have any cash left and there are no ATMs in this part of Mauritania, and on top of that, once in Senegal I only get 48 hours to have my motorcycle papers stamped in Dakar. So... prepare for a monster day..

Mauritanians are very friendly people. I loved when the man paid for your bread and then offered you more... generous people.
Amazing friendly people
Yes they looked like some laid back people. Can't believe your in the middle of the dessert and you drive by a person walking.
I Hope You travel in My country..VENEZUELA...!!
this is in all muslim countries. they give free food
@@BillySBC ...but you're NOT stuck up or entitled, that makes the bigger difference on how people will interact with you, regardless of hair/eye colour.
It's Noraly's personality what makes her be welcomed by strangers along the way.😉
Noraly eating a baguette while riding “priceless” 😂
so yummmmiiiiee🥖🥖🥖🌭🌭🌭🌭🥓🥓🥓
That was a great scene. Nothing better than fresh warm bread.
mad by legs
with a little dust for flavoring
1st time I see a biker riding and eating bread UNDER his helmet.
Amazing how the guys who help you out just come out of nowhere. The world is full of wonderful people
The hospitality of these people is amazing! The simple kindness of strangers.
Mauritania STILL has a slavery problem, but yeah, sure, they are SO kind. No, they are so fake to foreigners while committing atrocities to each other behind closed doors. The level of denial by foreigners is laughable.
The hospitality of muslims people is amazing
Who knew it was possible to eat a baguette, whilst riding a motorcycle wearing a helmet??
🤣
hahahahaha so yummmmiie 🥖🥖🫓🫓🫓🥐🥐🥐🥓🥓🥓🌭🌭🌭
Noraly could, definitely😂😂😂
Meh. Wake me when she is eating the baguette with helmet while riding seated backwards and juggling. That should take another week or two of practice.
@@annoyed707 I bet she could do it in 3 days... Lol
@@Boediprasetya we don’t eat bacon here sir
There is nothing in this world that makes me happier than the people buying/giving food for someone on the road!🤗🌼
Noraly's interactions with local people are always a highlight.
That guy who guided you thru the market… what a gem of a person ! 👍
they way he held himself shows that he´s someone
that all else look up to.
He was so confident, yes!
700 km on a motorbike in a single day through the desert ? Wow crazy! You must've felt exceedingly tired after completing that challenge... don't forget to rest, though, as covering such long distances in such environments in such a short time is physically draining. But still I'm amazed by your dedication and that travelling passion you give us in every single episode of your channel!
And she films and edits the videos on such a gruelling schedule! And makes every one of them entertaining AF.
Eating while driving with helmet on, Noraly can do it all!!
I salute your courage. Honestly as an African and as a man I don't even have the heart to travel through this terrain alone.
why 'could u explain a little wat could happen plz?
@@davechristian7543 He is just saying she is brave that's all. Meanwhile, people will be nicer and willing to help her out because she is a woman and they see it as she is doing something extraordinary.
@@davechristian7543 ridiculous question. What do you think, maybe she will get given a sack of gold by some kind stranger. We all know that whether in the back streets of Amsterdam or Stockholm. Women are always more vulnerble
Well that do help it gives a more caring towards her then if it was a man. The approach won't be same
Dunes, the transition to savanna, the big man who kindly guided you through the market, two wheeled carts drawn by donkeys--these are visual memories I will not forget. Thank you.
The coolest sight....Noraly casually eating her bread as she motorcycled along the road....!!!! Big thumbs up for the friendly bread merchant and the dude who guided you through the busy street market !!!!
Their faces reflect hardship of lives, but wow, their genuine generosity and willingness to help strangers are simply remarkable.. Mauritanians are beautiful souls❤
Compare that to America where the Florida governor will ship you with a one-way ticket to a remote island called Martha's Vineyard.
p.s (If you're not American and don't get the references, all I'm saying is Mauritanians are kind and Americans are cruel).
You will find this treatment of visitors in all Arab counties.
@@vp4744 That is okay. Martha's Vineyard are home of the elites and Obamas. Yes? They have the money.
It's not any Arab hospitality It's Islamic values in any Muslim country or community
@@vp4744 When those few dozen people got to Martha's Vineyard, they called the MILITARY to get the poors out. They didn't show them a shred of hospitality or humanity. Very telling.
We are poor poeple but with golden hearts thank you for visiting our country ❤
Old saying from ireland
Wealth of pocket poor of heart .
Poor of pocket wealth of heart
May allah bless the people of Mauritania wealth and healthy insha allah ameen I watched the other video what ahmed did was really amazing masha allah
@@Badlander87X mannnn that's why I love the Irish people from a 🇸🇴

They are not poor lol. The guy with bread is literally a slave of the one in blue
I am a Turk and I love all Africans. Brave and good-hearted people. May Allah always help you..
It will never be a problem remembering you as a great adventure motorcyclist, because you already are. Love the videos.
It has always been interesting to me that there is a lot of difference between the two neighboring countries in terms of climate and nature
Mauritania is an Arab country and the Sahara and Senegal are completely different
@@living_peace Northern Senegal is a dryland, though! Less dry than Mauritania for sure but still DRY. If you take the regions of Ferlo, Fouta, Diéry etc. - which cover a significant area of the country - it actually look like most of the Australian Outback in comparison.
Loved the baguette in the helmet and the nonchalant market escort! It looks like you're having a lot of fun!
After Noraly got the bread and began driving off, I instinctively waved goodbye to my computer screen! 😅😅😅
I love how friendly the people are!
The guy guiding Noraly through the market seems to instill respect. It’s amazing how you keep your cool in what for most of us would be difficult situations.
4 o' clock: starts maniacally pressing F5, F5, F5... YES! New video, hits like and starts watching. Who else?😅
Noraly always keeps us entertained with her unique experiences, like nibbling on bread while cruising down the road 🤣. Hilarious! The market scene was definitely the highlight of this episode, how she managed to navigate through it and keep her cool.. while the temperatures were boiling hot 🥵
I loved the baguette-helmet interface interlude 😅
"We are following a "SPY". The new "James Bond".
That guy who guided you through the market… a real relaxed and cool guy!! 😁👍🏻
After a tough day at work, Norally's journey is the best remedy to calm down. And a helmet eating bread it was something very amusing😂.
Gotta love the people you meet Noraly, so kind, helpful and generous! ❤
Also the last stretch of "road" to the border, I was like holy sh*t that's narrow. 😅
The most generous people are usually the ones who has little to give. It's so true that statement. You crossed through some beautiful souls. That's the Holy grail of traveling.
I love that person who gave you 4 pieces of bread. God bless!
The kindness of people all over the world is amazing to see. But what really made my morning was watching you eat the bread under your helmet while driving one handed through a desert! It made me wonder if the bread got a bit gritty from all the sand 😂. Safe travels.
They are NOT kind to each other. There is still child slavery and "honor" killings Mauritania, but yeah, sure, be this gullible because they are trying to charm the foreign lady.
It is so cute when you say Holandesa!😂Your expertise in exploring the most remote areas is out this world Noraly. Looks so easy even those check points. I love every second of your episodes no doubt about it 👏👏👏. Thanks, merci and gracias.
What Noraly is doing for us, shining the light on the world, is absolutely priceless! Nowhere else could we get an experience like this. So much to wrap our minds around in this video. The 22:15 minutes was like 2 minutes and I didn't want it to end. Riding through the very tight market made me nervous thinking of what could happen. then I remembered she is not in Chicago, USA. Check-mark one more box for Itchy Boots....Nerves of Steel! I've referred to her as the real Wonder Woman albeit jokingly in the past, but the more we see, it's no joke.😊 Thank you kindly. Peace ❤❤❤
The best way would be to go yourself:). I came to Thailand it's amazing to travel
wow, that drive through that market. Awesome!!! It's so much fun watching Noraly's videos. hugely addictive. She's a real hero.
I really laughed seeing you riding strait trough the market with this cool guy ahead smoothening your way. Thanks for your work! Bon voyage!
Even kicking the trash out of the way. 😄
Again such hospitable and friendly people. makes me smile !!!❤ So funny to see a traffic jam LOL Driving through the market place was hilarious.
the universe sent an interesting angel to guide her, very funny indeed
@@Torres-tw3ic I loved his clothes, so colourful; now we're back to "western" clothing rather than robes, and his headwear was so different from the "wrap-around" headwear of the desert people.
Après nous avoir longuement expliqué les nombreux obstacles qu'elle aura à affronter durant la journée, super relaxe, on peut voir Noraly manger une baguette🥖 tout en conduisant avec le casque sur la tête, visière baissée et musique d'occasion. Moment de détente, trop drôle 🤣 Noraly, you made my day!! 💓
Dat is HILARISCH, om dat brood onder die helm te zien verdwijnen! 🤣
What an adventurer this strong, beautiful and self-confident woman is...Noraly, you are a real badass 💪 stay safe...
Badass is the correct description, she is a lady with balls and wits
@@casaamaril And I would add luck as well.
What a beautiful encounter with the bread people. Such nice, friendly people. That "small" border crossing was just crazy, but the kind gentleman helped you through the chaos. Really wonderful people. Lots of love from Gene in Tennessee.
that gentleman was the coolest guy in town... so relaxed 😉
@@TheRath234OG tour guide. He was cool. And the background jazzy music. Hilarious.
Yes Gene, the people Noraly meet often reminds me of our own people’s generosity here in the mountains of East Tennessee.
Was so kind of him ❤
Amidst the puzzle pieces of which border.. which passport.. enough gas? cash? - I belly laughed at the scene of eating a roll of bread, stuffed under an Arai helmet visor, at 50km in the middle of nowhere. A classic example of just... wait for it... 'roll' with it. 😊
That part with the guy helping you out through that market and tight section is just fenomenal! He is the Mauretanian Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible, especially with that perfect soundtrack underneith it...I LOVE it! Great work, Noraly. 💪🏻
Oh boy! Another boat ride for Alaska!
At 10:10 the moonscape changes to a city on Mars!
Bread and kindness on the roadside, and more friendly assistance through the crowded market.
Noraly is a treasure, MWF. 🙂👍👍
I was worried when that large man started guiding you through the market. You seem to have an instinct for figuring out who you can trust. It seems people just love to take you "under their wing." And your big smile of gratitude seems to win them over immediately. Look forward to your next episode.❤
I'll admit to being a bit worried by his swaggering demeanor too.
But, yet again, just another lovely Mauritanian helping a stranger ❤
The edit when you passed the bread man was perfect. My first thought was "this will be interesting", and of course it was!
This girl (to me, 81) has no right to give me a weekly heart attack! Love your spirit of "Let's Go," Itchy Boots!
Yet again the generosity of the ordinary people is so heartwarming, 3 loaves of bread just given to a travelling foreigner. Then a random stranger sees that you may be lost and guides you through the market ❤
Four loaves of bread! ❤
its because shes a woman
"Passe Avant" …or how the idea of having a race to Dakar was born. 😂
A beautiful and extremely funny episode! 🤗😍
This lady should win a National Geographic Award and they should call it “The Natural Award”
The world is full of wonderful people. It's lovely to meet them through you. What a fabulous journey. Thank you for sharing.
Interesting ride, nice people everywhere, I like your combination of French, Spanish and English to communicate with the locals it seems to work perfectly, good luck and can’t wait to see how you made it to your next destination, safe travels 🏍️👌
I'm loving this adventure and feel privileged to be able to see places I will never travel to. I admire you immensely.
Waouu I'm learning to be patient, not judgemental, all because of Nomaly such a kind hearted person ❤
Hello. I’m originally from Morocco and I live in the USA. I would like to point one thing from Norally videos in Morocco as well as Mauritania. Don’t be brainwashed by the media about Muslims. Please go and visit and see how welcoming are the people and how hospitable even though they have little they would share it with you. Thank you Norally for these videos I think you’re doing a great job of bringing the world together. Good luck to you and safe return to your home.
That's what ALL Moroccans say. It's so annoying when I was there the amount of PR spin everyone would tell me- it's like bro, I didn't even say anything yet, I'm already IN your country, and you're trying to sell me on your country. Like, WHY? The fact is, it's an EXTREMELY economically unequal society, where adults send their kids to beg on the street (a common sight), and the wealthy and elite live it up on the "other side of town." Instead of forcing a narrative, why don't you work towards a better society for all? Stop being blind to social and economic injustices. Doesn't it BOTHER YOU?
There is good and bad in every community, living in a predominantly muslim neighborhood/cities I've experiences both sides to the point I hope to leave. Bad apples exist everywhere sadly and it depends mostly on the cultures of the people not just their religion hence why I personally mesh far better with muslims from some countries than other in the west
Best episode ever! 10 out of 10 Noraly❤
so enjoyed the morning brief, the clear explanation of the days mission, left-over’s for breaky. Every gendarme ready with his blue pen. Eating whilst riding. The views (as always). Swift passage through a chaotic market playing great jazz. Then finally leaving us all on a killer hook….😮
Noraly may well be in a hot part of the world but she is now, beyond doubt, the coolest chic on the planet!❤❤
Great episode 👍That border town was so chaotic and crowded, but the folks there were nice.
It will be fun to see you cross that river by boat with Alaska. Hopefully not as stressful as the Darien Gap .
OMG the bread eating scene was hilarious!
So funny to see Noraly munching on bread with helmet on! Yet another skill we have discovered on top of all the others! I’ll say when you’re a bread lover you gotta enjoy it while it’s still warm!! Bon appetit!!
This is possibly the best season of “Itchy Boots” yet. I am finding these episodes very enlightening and more interesting with each installment. Ride on Noraly!!👍😊
My personal favourite is the one she was closest to where I live. Jasper Alberta Canada. Ive been watching her for years and to see her in my back yard was awesome. Too bad she couldn’t use the drone in the national park.
That was crazy. Beautiful colors in the market...your "escort" had a confident walk about him. The bread looked amazing...Breaking bread with the locals. You are such an anomaly to them...well done.
Be well, stay safe
Watching you ride through that market reminded me of my 5 years spent in central and western Africa. "C'est l'Afrique Patron. C'est bien complique." Yep, it's complicated alright but the bulk of the people are genuinely wonderful human beings. I cherish my friendships from there.
Noraly, Thank you for taking us along on your adventures and introducing us to all the wonderful people that you meet. It is a joy.
That man who bought your bread was putting meaning to the word, hospitality, which essentially means- kindness to strangers. Great video as always. Thank you 😊
That scene of you threading your way among market stalls was reminiscent of a Bond movie, minus the bit about jumping from rooftop to rooftop (plus bad guys in helicopters).
hahhahahaha 007
That's the next trip.
Yes..even the music was very Bond-like!!
After hundreds of hours of her videos....I'm officially in love
I laughed so hard when you were eating the baguette from under your helmet, it must have been delicious. So lovely to see the amazing people you meet along the way, it gives us hope. Btw, it must have been surreal sleeping in the desert under the stars with almost nothing blocking the horizon and zero light pollution, so incredible. Safe travels Noraly.
Another brilliant episode. Kindness from everyone you meet . The man buying you bread, the man leading you through the crowded streets. Can't wait for the next episode. The tantalising bit of Alaska on another small boat looks to be another great video. Ride safe Norlay
Will she go downriver to St Louis? I can't see any roads on Google Maps.
Interesting that both sides of the river Senegal belong to Senegal.
Senegal here we come!....can't wait for what it has to offer & olso to learn a whole lot from noraly!
Those oasis towns are so interesting, but that last town, Bogue, by the border, was intense!
I’m amazed by how chill everyone is, and how unaffected they were by your being “foreign”.
That group of fellows where they bought you some bread is a perfect example of how connected we all are.
They don’t care about your religion, politics, your ‘orientation’ , or how much money you may or may not have.
Just basic human kindness, and respect for a lady.
As always, thanks for the ride-along!
Loving the funky jazz music at the end.
It never ceases to amaze us that you find and are able to show us beautiful people, no matter where you are. It is also a lesson for all of us that people are people are the same no matter where they are. We all inhabit this small sphere and need to acknowledge that we are all in this great experience together. Too bad that the ones who need to hear and learn this will never see this. Keep up the beautiful journey and be safe, We love you Noraly. 💙
❤ lots of love from India 🇮🇳
It has always been interesting to me that there is a lot of difference between the two neighboring countries in terms of climate and nature
Mauritania is an Arab country and the Sahara and Senegal are completely different
Noraly always has the best soundtrack.
That "tour" through the market ... and the music you chose ... cracked me up :-) And your "guide" was the coolest dude I have seen in a long while ;-) LOL
This episode was chock full of adventure. Loved the country, the towns, the flowing robes, delicious bread, helpful generous people, that market!! (I could spend hours), and now another boat ride!?! You're really strong and resilient. ❤
Man, they gave Noraly a bunch of bread! Very generous people. I wish them good health and good life!
Noraly, the sight of you shoving a baguette up inside your chin piece to nibble whilst riding had me in stitches.. 😂🥰
The music while following the guide through the market was so good -- everybody is overheating, but then this dude is cool, kwool, easy swinging walk, music.
Hahaha ! Loved ur expressions while pronouncing some tough foreign words … bless you. One thing for sure , along the way Noraly is going to turn into a linguist par excellence. In this episode , we watch you ride into wilderness through very rural area of Mauritania. There are hardly any modern shops or stores or Gas stations for that matter. But nothing seems to deter you Noraly which highlights your perseverance. Local folks are simply very sweet and kindhearted. They take pride in helping out the visitors it seems. God bless them. The border town seems really chaotic unlike what Noraly thought it wud be. And Noraly , you ended this episode at a very crucial juncture - tricky border crossing . Naughty you … we were readying ourselves for “ Welcome to Senegal “ exclamation. Anyways, good luck to you Itchy Boots , hope this crossing is hassle free.
Noraly, I love the way you say "Good morning internet!' it sets such a good intention for the episode. Great way to get bread on the road. What a kind gentle self assured man who guided you throught the market. Thank you for showing the edge of humanity.
That was an epic journey through Mauritania Noraly! You certainly had your share of riding in sand! You've definitely shared with us some amazing views. Looking forward to Senegal.
The music was spot on for the guy leading you through the market.
Lol Noraly. The road to the border is hillarious. Different kind of jungle. 😂 the man buying bread for you was really so sweet. And the man at the market kicked the can out of the way and moving people aside for you.😅
Gets better every time. Thank you for allowing me to see the world through your eyes.
Kindness is such a beautiful virtue! Giving you the bread - there is whole world in it!
LMAO at the "Bread into Helmet" scene, brilliant!! 😂
Loving your videos Noraly, you obviously work so hard to keep the videos coming every few days and after riding all day, big respect to you, I get tired just looking at my motorbike!
Stay safe
Noraly it's amazing to see you meet such warm, friendly and fun people on your journey. Hope you always encounter those good vibes throughout your epic adventure . It's really nice to see when u have a good laugh every now and again.
Unimaginable border condition at Senegal entry. You are so daring to enter into such locations. You stand on top of world riders for your determination and courage. We are all happy to roam the world along with you in such locations.
There are angels in the middle of the desert too !! such a kind heart 😍
Absolutely love your journey and the music going through the market was totally awesome.😊
What a path you had to travel! I’m sure you are happy you made all the copies of the fiche. Seems like you’ve had to give a lot out on this trip. But as you always do...finding bread in the middle of no where and nice men to treat you to it...your belly was full. This is going to be an interesting border crossing, for sure!
21:30 love the jazz music through the market!
14:16 So this is what it feels like to be pretty- free food! 🤩 😂❤
Angels everywhere for you!❤️The dunes are amazing! The people are so kind and friendly! Great episode! 👏👏👏❤️🙏🇺🇸
Nice ride , I particularly like the guy who shows you the way through the bizarre. It was kind of funny seeing the helmet eat bread , it reminded me of pac man . Thanks for sharing.
Kudos to the type of music starting around 21:00 (the market). Perfect for the situation.
Thank you for taking us on your incredible adventure to these remote places. Friendly, helpful people and spectacular scenery. I am learning more about the world through your outstanding videos. Safe travels.
The title is so appropriate! Chaotic, indeed, superb riding skills in such close quarters.

Gosh, the gentleman was só kind to boy bread for you, and the other one cleared the way for you through the market - wow, wonderful people! So I am hoping that there is not a lot of trouble waiting in the next episode!!!
