The lead toy is a Matador. He is waving the red cloth that the bull charges. You can see it at 40:56 The red paint is still on the "cloth" his leg and body is in your fingers. I agree, the pipe whistle is special. Can you see the toddler or young child waiting on daddy filing away to make that for them? The joy it brought to a poor child after the war with no money for toys! It could be a birthday gift or even a christmas present!
Oh yes! You’re right! I thought it was like a woman doing laundry by hand, with a big sheet of some kind hanging down, but matador makes perfect sense!
That is exactly what I thought it was, a toreador! I can also see the residual red color on his cape that he is dangling out to antagonize the absent bull...!
The little figurine is either a matador taunting the bull with his cape or Sir Walter Raleigh laying his cape over a puddle for a lady. :) (Matador most likely because of the thing on his head) A lovely drawer pull. A beautiful day indeed.
The little lead guy looks like he is playing a cello to me. I love the artist Hauser, who is a cellist and covers some beautiful songs, and soothes me when I am anxious. I think you both are wonderful. Thank you for inspiring me and my art and reminding me there are like-minded people in this world. Wishing you good health, peace and safety from Maine, USA❤
I believe your "whistle" may actually be a very old hand made FIFE. It is played just like a flute and has a high pitch like a piccolo. What fabulous finds and great history behind those really obscure items. Thanks for your entertaining posts as I look forward to them each week.
The figure bending down...could it be a man warming his hands over a fire? When I saw the pipe, I immediately thought of a flute, or recorder...definitely something musical. So cool it's handmade! Always a lovely video ladies, so many great finds. Have a lovely week!
The little lead toy resembles a man and a campfire. Beautiful video ladies. Thanks again for taking us along… happy to see you both feeling better and getting to enjoy the wonderful weather.
Wonderful video,, great finds and a beautiful setting. I love the bubbly bottle, the decorative bottle and the whistle. Thank you Gail and Alex. I am looking forward to seeing your garden path lined with pottery sherds!
Beautiful day out..The woods were beautiful, and I loved the whistle, and the bottle as well as the tiny one too..Thanks for taking us along..Love n Light 🥰
Blessed? That’s a understatement. The unique skinny green bottle was my favorite. Love the pottery pieces. What happened to the black slag piece? That was gorgeous. Not only nice finds but what beauty you captured. God is good. Excellent videography. Who was singing? Can you please give us her name? See you next week! Be safe.
Hiya, Monika here from Australia. What a beautiful spot to go treasure hunting, i see the stinging nettles are coming along nicely lol. I hope yr enjoying that beautiful warm summer weather. Getting very nippy down here bŕrrrr. Still not as cold as yr winters are. Love all yr finds this week. Cheers ✌💕😊
I love that little fancy bottle to so decorative!! That teeny tiny bottle is my favorite one!! I love teeny tiny bottles so much!! That whistle was awesome, knowing someone years ago made that is just amazing!! So many neat things!!
Great video again! Could you please confess that you are the singer of the beautiful songs you play? If it isn’t you, Alex, the girl’s unique voice is very near to your own! Thanks for sharing.
That little metal thing looks like someone washing clothes. I love you ladies thanks again for another amazing video. Great music too. Love to you both ❤️❤️
Hi, Lovely to share your gorgeous day larking with my morning coffee. The wrench looked like a fish when you held it up 😅. The belt buckle would have looked so beautiful, so delicate and it may have been gilded. Just going to check out your other channel now, have a great week xx
I am so glad you guys are back on and you're feeling healthy. I was missing you. I do go through with drawls because I am so attached to watching you route through the ground finding treasure. Thank you, Tonia.
What a beautiful take over of nature...correcting the mess that humans all too often leave behind. I loved the metal finds you found on this lark. That whistle was so touching to see. I imagined a father making that for their child maybe. Wouldn't it have been a perfect gift for Christmas.❤ That odd metal figure with the missing head, looked kind of like the old way they used to tie bushels of wheat, to dry out in the sun. Just a thought, but the strands of what ever he's bending too, may be a wee bit too thick. 😬 Who knows? That little green bottle was beautiful. It instantly brought the thought of lemons to mind. I'd be interested to find out what that bottle contained. Please let us know if you find out, won't you. A lovely lark as always ladies. Thank you. X😊
Thank you so very much for the delightful film and outing! Lovely music too. You find the most gorgeous things. If you ever made a compilation of the various sponge-ware patterns you have found, I would certainly purchase it! The variety is fascinating and it would be great fun to cut some sponges in those vintage patterns and give it a try. Thanks so much again. Always enjoyable.
That little piece of pottery with the camel image would make a one-of-kind pendant! Such a darling image! And I love the drum-baby with or without a head!!
Refinery perhaps 🤔 One of my favourite bracelets is made from an antique silver spoon. It’s bent into a letter C shape and just slides onto the wrist. It’s incredibly comfortable and sits beautifully on the wrist. The top of the handle is wider and, like I said makes it very comfy. The inside of the spoon is beautifully decorated and now that it’s flattened out, is wonderful to look at. I get so so many comments and compliments regarding it. I’m forever taking it off to show people. 🙂🐿🌈❤️
You had a wonderful day. When Alex found the tiny blue seed button I noticed a fossil like a tooth. As for the tiny burst lip bottles, the green one may have looked smaller. The glass bottom was thicker. It was a lovely day and the results were amazing.
The tree pipe stem would make amazing cast metal beads for a necklace or bracelet. Maybe from recycled found brass? Beautiful finds as always in such beautiful scenery.
Dear lovely Northern Mudlarking Ladies. 👍👌👏 What a wonderful video! I simply couldn't ask for more = wonderful location, great finds, fantastic weather, good music*, beautiful gals. ;-) Thank you for using the twisted words modd carble and plate sencil (or was it pate slencil?). I absolutely love it when you do this (of course I missed my favourite one).👅 😘 2) At 6.40 min I found myself shouting: Examine the tea pot lid, examine the tea pot lid! 😁 3) It's definitely a great idea to make a pendant out of the blue glass piece with the word TAKEN on. Maybe also do a ring with the blue BE? By the way: You found a broken piece of a play cipe with the typical heart on it. Wouldn't it be a great idea to make a ring or a pendant out of just the clay 💚? If you put a little piece of copper wire on it and heat it up high (so that the copper melts) in your oven, you will get the most beautiful blue glaze. 4) This time my favourites are the sparkling glass button and the little rare slightly green sauce bottle. And definitely not only because I love nearly anything that is green. 5) I wonder and hope that you will try to make the simple flute whistle again? Please? As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health in particular. To both of you of course. Post Scriptum: * = I still think that it is Alex singing so angelic. I already asked about this but never got an answer, sigh. 😔 Nothing in the description too.
I close my eyes and wish that when I open them I would be there with you two lovely ladies looking for treasures and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Even though you found some wonderful things my favorite was the little bead with a little sprout growing out of it. That was so sweet! I've collected miniatures since the 70's so that was a very special find. Thank you so much for taking us along with your adventures. 🥰
Awesome video. Beautiful scenery especially the clover. The whistle is so cute. Took a lot of work to get those holes in it. Thank you for your time and work getting these videos done.
Hello Gail and Alex! The amazing treasures that can be found hidden deep in the woods is so exciting! I love all of them, it's hard to pick a favorite. The little headless toy is definitely someone picking up a bag or something...but what? Lol The pretty green bottle was an awesome find and the homemade "flute" is very special because it was purposely made to make music and or bring joy to that person. I was waiting to see if y'all was going to try it out! LOL This was another wonderful adventure from our "digging diva's"...the Northern Mudlarks"!! Thanks ladies...Big ((Hugs)) and Love from Texas!🤗💙
Hopefully all stinky rubbish dumps will look as beautiful as your forest someday; (and cemeteries too). I read about a plan somewhere in the U.S. to plant trees atop of each person buried in a biodegradable coffin, creating a gorgeous Forest from each buried Soul. Really cool finds, & music too!😊
Another great one. We used to take all the broken china pieces and make birdbaths for the garden . Used a small cement mold then pressed all the old pieces in. Very whimsical.
All the beautiful sponge ware. You’ve got enough to start a catalogue of designs. They really are quite unique and pretty. Your path is going to be gorgeous. Thank you for another peaceful and interesting video, I watch whilst stitching, well, not much stitching gets done during yours, but I love to sit and have videos play whilst I embroider.
Me too. I feel quite anticipatory about seeing you make a mosaic path or door step/landing with your found tiles, pottery and china chunks. I imagine it being lovely, random and colorful.
That pipe that you couldn't read says "JOHN HAMILTON / MAKER / BELFAST" John made pipes from 1890 until 1932. His pottery occupied 5 different addresses in Belfast over those years. I knew if I watched enough episodes, I'd eventually be helpful to your research!
8.51 fancy pull knob from a curio cabinet/ jewelery cabinet 9:51 Vice Grips ( in 🇨🇦) 15:38 top off tiny salt pot. 27:36 may be from the belt of a Midwife's Uniform post WW2. Love your videos. Thank you for sharing 🙏
Alex you amaze how you find so many wee beads! I would need a microscope to find your treasures. Gayle I love your delight when you find something new! I love all the pipe bowls and the buckle is absolutely beautiful. so many wonderful things! Thank for your wonderful adventures. You both take us along in your treasures hunt. Thank you for taking my mind off of hard things for your beautiful selves and content!
I thought the figure of the man holding something looked like a drunk holding up a lamp post, with a dog close by. Y'all found some interesting things. I'm glad you made a video of them to share with the curious. Like me. Thank you.
cobalt blue glass does have value... im sure your aware of that... love your show!! I guess watching your show for a long time... its always the story behind how they got where they are... sad stories.. happy stories... I think as with you you make me wonder of the people they belonged.... thank you so much!!
Really liked all your treasures from this mudlarking adventure Gail and Alex. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite. Appreciated the round up and seeing everything all cleaned up and together. Thank you for taking us all along on your day!
The little metal fellow looks like a matador to me! A broach? The “whistle” could be “trench art” flute someone brought home! Loved that tall bottle-bubblelicious! Great selection of goodies ladies!❤

I thought fireman tackling a fire. But your idea makes more sense. 🤩
Have you thought about making a video of the process that you use to clean the different items that you find? I would be very interested.
yes i would love to see how you clean your findings
I have asked too.
The little figurine is either a matador taunting the bull with his cape or Sir Walter Raleigh laying his cape over a puddle for a lady. :) (Matador most likely because of the thing on his head) A lovely drawer pull. A beautiful day indeed.
Matador was my 1st thought..
WOOOOHOOOO!! My favorite part of Sunday!!!❤❤❤❤
Or a double bass, I was thinking?
I thought it was a double bass as well.
Postman riding his bicycle.
I thought it looked like a bull fighter holding a red blanket.
@barbara5407 I agree that it looks like a double bass!
It’s always great to watch a mother and daughter enjoy each other’s time together.
That Green bottle was beautiful i watch other mudlarkers and i never seen a bottle llike that one
I believe your "whistle" may actually be a very old hand made FIFE. It is played just like a flute and has a high pitch like a piccolo. What fabulous finds and great history behind those really obscure items. Thanks for your entertaining posts as I look forward to them each week.
Yes. The fife had six fingering holes and the hole at the top is the embouchure hole.
I agree. I play flute, piccolo, and fife. It’s definitely a fife, homemade.
I find myself so relaxed watching your videos , great finds ladies ❤❤
The wrench is what we call vice grips or locking pliers.
Mole grips
Vice Grip was the original brand name.
Who’s we?

The tiny lead toy looks like a matador, aka Spanish bull fighter, waving his red cape.
I thought the same thing!
That's my first thought.
The little lead toy resembles a man and a campfire. Beautiful video ladies. Thanks again for taking us along… happy to see you both feeling better and getting to enjoy the wonderful weather.
I love black Victorian buttons . They’re beautiful no matter the size. Even the smallest could have a beautiful scene or pattern .
Wonderful video,, great finds and a beautiful setting. I love the bubbly bottle, the decorative bottle and the whistle. Thank you Gail and Alex. I am looking forward to seeing your garden path lined with pottery sherds!
Love finding you two on Sundays❤
The song that someone is singing sounds like your mom. Whoever it is has a beautiful voice
I thought it sounded like them both singing as well❤
I was thinking Alex
Beautiful singing voices
Another great show from you lovely ladies! Love the way nature keeps correcting our wrong doings. Thank you for mentioing it today xo

I was thinking that the unusual little green bottle you found would/could make a cute Christmas tree.
Wonderful finds! I sure enjoyed this one! Thanks so much 😊😊😊
Very interesting river banks layers. Amazing
Awesome finds! Use clay marbles for tops for lids, make heads, put marbles around plates, and paint. Great video, and I love your photography!!

Dear @@Thesevenbird
👍👌👏 It definitely was!
Best regards, luck and health in particular.
That doll's eye almost looked like a cowrie shell!!! The rusty old wrench is actually a pair of locking pliers with the brand name "Vice Grips"!!!
A beautiful day to be meandering in the woods, finding treasure. I like the tiny bottle the most. And, the funny-face camel.❤❤
The little lead figure looks like a matador with a red cape and I loved Jimmy's Magic Flute ❤
It's more likely a fancy cape clasp, rather than a buckle. I have some vintage ones very much like this. :)
Hello ladies! I believe the tin figure is a headless man playing a standing double bass. Thank you for your videos!
Wow what wonderful finds ladies 💜🌸
Lovely video with some great finds. The music in the video is absolutely lovely, is that you singing Alex? 😊

Lovely!
The lead toy looks like it may have been a matador with a red cape. Love from down under. 💖

So many lovely finds, hard to choose a favourite.
Always enjoy listening to your Intro. music. Sounds so exciting! We never know what you will show us! ❤
The little metal fellow looks like a matador to me! A broach? The “whistle” could be “trench art” flute someone brought home! Loved that tall bottle-bubblelicious! Great selection of goodies ladies!❤
I thought of a matador also. Looks like some red paint on the "cape."
Great trip fun finds thank you 🤩🤩🤩💖💖
My Sunday is now complete 😊
