- In this first entry of 'Is it all lies' we're taking on the Pokémon series and breaking down it's name to it's least helpful and most literal interpretation, to decide if those pesky game developers have played us for fools once again. So let's find out of these Pokemon really do fit in a pocket, before Game Freak make it even more difficult to do with more DLC like the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra!

I don't know why, but I got a kick out of imagining a Porygon being carried in a USB stick.

Everyone talks about the godtier editing but the music choice is also very on point. Keep up the good content
Stunning content, thoroughly engaging from start to finish. The graphics were particularly impressive and I hope you can reuse them all to save yourself a headache! I think I could watch you cover just about anything, so I’m very excited for the next adventure. I shall aim to not put any poisonous ghosts in my pocket until then.

Generally when I see a video on a concept that's already been done to death I just keep scrolling. But I saw Backseat Game Dev and I thought "alright, he's gonna do something with this, I'll give him the shot". I don't know how but you always manage to take such bland concepts and turn them into genuinely interesting content, keep it up man

I think I heard somewhere that Flareon could control its temperature so it could be the perfect temperature for hugging for example.
With that in mind I think Flareon would pass the test of safety, but it wouldn't pass any other test anyway.

2:23 First you predict the smash newcomers, now you predict the comments very accurately.
With Pokémon Legends Arceus coming out and saying every Pokémon can shrink down to fit into your pocket, this greatly helps the Pokémon that are either too big and/or too heavy.

I still really like these videos. I know most people here seem to be talking about the aesthetics, but I also love the style of humor you use. There's just something about taking things to such a serious level that it winds up funny gets me. It's like what Game Theory and some of the other shows the channel hosts *wanted* to be. Have you been doing this for years and this is just a smurf account with a different voice?
So, I can fit in a decently-sized pocket, and I'm not too heavy. The only issue is my sharp spikes.

You said that Gengar has no ability to float, but in the games his default ability is Levitate, so that’s some decent evidence that he can, in fact, float.

Next up: which ones are still unpocketable in the ball - any Pokemon with a swartzchild radius smaller than that of a pokeball would fail on account of it would create a black hole if you tried to pick it up

I think that safety should not matter because it does not promise that you or the Pokémon will survive. So maybe that will change the results

Yo also the nidoran have toxic barbs that could stab you just like weedle could.
Nidoran and other Pokemon with barbs, but who are big enough that the head can be kept out of the pocket were fine. Problem with Weedle is it’s a wriggly little fella who would undoubtably accidentally get a trainer as it writhes around. Psyduck was an edge case but I decided to allow it, didn’t have time in the video to go over it. 🙂
