    Aerial Tour Iceland - The Great Geysir and Strokkur geysers in the Golden Circle Route in southwest Iceland.
    Over the past year we have amassed hundreds of hours of footage of our sailing voyage from North Carolina to the Faroe Islands via Canada, Greenland and Iceland. We are working extremely hard to edit that footage into episodes and look forward to sharing this incredible adventure with you! We are also currently planning to sail on to Norway and Svalbard, an ambitious voyage that we cannot wait to film.
    If you are enjoying our videos, then please help us to continue producing them with a donation. Your gift will help cover our boat maintenance, repair and video production expenses. We appreciate the helping hand and thank you for sailing with us.

      Hi Peter, many thanks! I'm sorry to say that this was the last flight of our quadcopter named 'Galileo.' During filming it was sprayed by enough hot water to cause something to go wrong, and it crashed. The crash part is at the very very end of the video, after the credits. I lost my first quadcopter 'Harry' in Greenland when it crashed into an enormous iceberg, now 'Galileo' is gone too. I have one last fully operational Phantom 2 quadcopter left which I haven't come up with a name for yet, and a lot of salvaged spare parts.

      DrakeParagon's The Real Cruising Life You seem to have been traveling a well trod Viking route in reverse...how about a nice Viking name for your last quad. Looking forward to next weeks vid.

      I think quad number 3 should be called 'Lucky' in the hope that it lives long and prospers. ....or maybe Lucky because it wasn't #1 or #2?

    Really nice video Drake & Monique. I was wondering if the Quadcopter was going to take a hit. It's bummer that it went down, but no risk, no reward. Do you have your eyes on a Mariner Quad next time? Thanks again, really beautiful things you guys are seeing !

    Jet another wonderful video, Drake!? Weren't you afraid that the steaming hot water would damage your DJI Phantom 2?

    • @drakeParagon
      @drakeParagon  10 років тому +1

      Hi Rob, thank you! Yes... but I figured that it was worth the risk. I just wish we could have gotten more footage before the quadcopter finally short circuited from being sprayed too many times by the geyser, and crashed. I lost my first quadcopter 'Harry' in Greenland when it crashed into an iceberg, now 'Galileo' is gone too. I have one last fully operational Phantom 2 quadcopter left which I haven't come up with a name for yet, and a lot of salvaged spare parts.

      Actually I'm often very afraid. Dealing with strong wind and spray over Gulfoss, or the hot water geyser spray, or flying far away from out boat Paragon while many miles from shore and then being able to find Paragon again in the middle of the ocean... very nerve wracking. Last week one of my Faroese friends took me out in his small fishing boat and we motored through an incredibly long and only 30 foot wide fissure on the side of a rock mountain. The vertical walls on each side were hundreds of feet high, and I flew our quadcopter through most of it while trailing the boat. At one point I ascended hundreds of feet up the wall to the top and looked down. We also went though a small arch. The whole time I was so afraid of crashing into the wall and loosing the quadcopter! But I kept thinking that it was worth the risk. The footage was amazing that I can't wait to start editing it.

      So sorry to hear form the loss of Galileo. I grasp your anxiety of losing your last Phantom. Maybe because of that, the emotion of last resort and the adventure you could name it "Wilson" (Tom Hanks hope and buddy in Cast Away)?
      But do you know you have followers? Brian Trautman of SV Delos has just posted his video "We Got A New Toy!!!! " on UA-cam channel "Brain SV Delos".
