  • Have yu ever wanted to make a super easy cardigan?!
Just as a reminder: my partner (Under) is nonbinary and uses They/He!!
    ♟️♟️♟️♟️♟️
Here’s more information about the cardigan! (This is to the sizing to fit my partner. You can upscale or downscale depending on the person)
The total size was about 20 rows with weight 4 yarn and a 5 mm hook.
The only stitches I used was a double crochet, a slip stitch, and a chain stitch.
Cuffs: 4” wide, 7” long (I chained 15 + 1 and used a half-double crochet pattern into the back loops only)
Banding: 2.5” wide, 43” long (same ribbing pattern)
Skeins: I had 5 colors, and needed extra by the end. In total I used about 7-8 skeins for this project.
    Steps:
    1. Magic circle, secure with a chain 1.
    2. Chain 2 (this will count as your first double crochet (DC)
    3. DC 2 more times
    3. Chain 1 to secure
    4. DC 3 times, chain 1 to secure
    5. Continue until you have 6 clusters of DC
    6. Slip-stitch into the first DC
    7. Chain 3 (this counts as your first DC)
    8. DC 2 more times
    9. Go straight to the next opening, DC 3 times
    10. Chain 1, DC 3 times into the same hole (this is now a corner piece)
    11. DC 3x, chain 1, DC 3x, into every next hole until you get to the beginning
    12. DC 3x in the hole where your first cluster of 3 is
    13. Slip-stitch, chain 3
    14. Repeat steps 7 & 8
    15. Now, every corner gets 2 clusters of DC 3, and every side gets 1 cluster of DC 3
    16. Keep going until you’re satisfied with the length!

Hello hello my moon and stars ⭐️!!
I just wanted to thank you all for the love on this video 💕
It’s not the best tutorial, as I had made it primarily for myself to refer back to and I hadn’t even figured out a good camera set up back then lmao. There are some steps I forgot to include, such as attaching the cuffs and banding (I just either sewed them as best as I could or did a slip stitch all the way around as best I could). But I’m glad that this video so far seems to be very helpful!!
If I ever get around to it, I’d love to record a better version (and one that is easier to see!). Nonetheless, thank you for sticking around 💕.

The best tutorial I’ve watched yet. You didn’t add any extra wording or “steps”. Straight forward and I love it

Your partner referred me to this video when I expressed interest in wanting to make this cardigan for myself. So once I’m done my current cardigan this will certainly be on the list. Also the colours are GORGEOUS

How do we attach the cuffs and banding? Great tutorial over all! Love the cardigan

    • @movkai
      @movkai  10 місяців тому +1

I attached the banding with a slip stitch to secure it and physically stitched the cuff onto the sleeve with an embroidery needle and yarn! Since the cuff is smaller than the sleeve, I pinned the edges of the sleeve as evenly around the sleeve so that it was kind of all bunched together if that makes sense.

Is it normal for it to be wavy?? When I fold mine over it’s not a 90 degree angle it looks like one side of a Y 😅

    • @movkai
      @movkai  11 місяців тому +1

If it’s in the beginning stages then yes, that’s normal! The further you go on the more of a 90 degree angle it gets!
