- A video showing full size and miniature steam engines to and from the Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre rally site on the Saturday evening road run. The rally itself is located at Old warden on the premises of the Shuttleworth college.
Such amazing creations! Watching these makes me happy and sad ....happy they were made, and sad they're almost all gone. The artwork and the engineering that went into each one is astonishing. Each one is a masterpiece.
Recognised the approach roads to Shuttleworth Colln. straight away. Happy days.

interesting -A half-scale repro chasing an original up the hill just after 11 minutes in, demonstrates that the down scaled engines are not inherently gutless- much more likely that minor engineering errors have a bigger effect than we would expect- Let's face it, even experts like Dibnah got it wrong on occasion, having to shave a corner off the top of the piston to allow the port to breathe properly. Not simple machines to maintain and operate by modern standards. Good footage.
