Cool man. I'm gonna guess, and say that Primanti Brothers in Pittsburgh PA started the Cole Slaw thing. They've been making sandwiches since 1933. If you're ever in the area, it's a must try. 🤘
@@jasonthemason1971 he doesn't have to be "wrong" just because you live elsewhere and believe it originated there! I reside in NC and it's DEFINITELY a Carolina thing, same in VA!
Coleslaw only belongs on a pulled pork sammich. In my opinion. Dickies BBQ chain opened in my area like 10 years ago and it was amazing. I’ve never heard of it going on a brisket sammich. But hey im guilty of liking KFC coleslaw so take that for what its worth.
Thank you for the review! I drive by this place twice a day on my way to/from work. I've been wondering as I'm relatively price sensitive when trying a new (to me) place. Guess I'll strike this off my "to try" place. Guy Fieri recently reviewed a butcher / BBQ place in the NW Vegas/Summerlin area. Maybe it is better. The next place on my list is the nearby "San Francisco Bay" restaurant.
I suggested the oyster bar and you said you didn’t like oysters, they aren’t just about oysters, they have MANY dishes other than oysters which are amazing to watch being cooked in front of you.
Hey V-BoB-M, their burger as you stated tastes just like Micky D's Quarter Pounder. Only problem is . . . . . one is six bucks and the burger you ordered is $20 -- Quite a difference homey ! . . . . . . . 💲 🍔.💲. 🤷 BTW - Great News ! Major Austin BBQ . . . "Salt Lick" . . . is slated to open a Las Vegas location near the Omega Mart. We are looking forward to that. Hope this helps Yo ! 💯
I tried to try Rick's place during COVID. One wall menu upstairs, a QR Code menu at the bottom of the stairs & on each table BUT no paper menus. An 8.5" x 11" B&W menu on plain paper costs less than 10¢ !. If they're that cheap with the menus, I wonder how cheap they are with the ingredients and preparation!
@@raaawkstaaar I am from South Carolina, but I hate that style of BBQ, it is the worst on the planet. Honestly, I don't like any of the food from that region.
@@RobertMoseley I get it, I'm not a fan of the vinegar based BBQ's and sauces but there is plenty of good BBQ spots in the region that offer and produce world winning BBQ, both tomato and vinegar based! Also, plenty of good food in the Carolina's, i.e. soul food and there's nothing like southern baking!
A Total Rip Off if you asked me! $20 for that slider size burger? I don't care where you live a burger like that shouldn't cost $20. Boycott the place!
I love good BBQ, I don't get my hopes up anymore with other peoples " Oh you gotta go try __?___ ! ". Usually dux. An if I have coleslaw, it better be on the side, not on my sandwich ! Later ! :~)
Love that Bob calls it as it is. Good honest unbiased reviews. I believe you to be the best off strip food reviewer in Las Vegas….
I hope you can take us for a drive around town 🇺🇸👍👍
I always enjoy your reviews Bob.
UA-cam needs to make CLICK BATE VIDEOS illegal and strike those with that kind of BS. I am glad you are straight honest Bob.. Great 👍 Job!
A great view! Ty Bob🤝✌️💫
Coleslaw on a steak burger/sandwich or with rissoles here in Australia are fantastic! With brisket I guess its worth a shot!
Coleslaw is put on pulled pork sandwiches in the south.
...a fundy duddy, love the way you describe yourself. The best foody in Vegas, love your videos, thanks for sharing.
Cole Slaw on a BBQ Sandwich is Memphis Style !!! I love it !!!👍
Corky’s……….
I have thought about trying that place out until I saw the prices
Thanks for the honesty VB

Maybe pass on the slaw.
You like what you like...Great review bud...Hey what about Road kill grill???
Cole slaw is a Carolina thing. Usually, with some vinegar based sauce.
Wrong. Memphis, Corky’s………..

Best burger is still the dispensary lounge on Tropicana and eastern.

Good stuff
Give wild fig barbecue a try. Probably far from Texas style but it’s very tasty barbecue. Especially their brisket.

Cole slaw is generally put on pork barbecue as the vinegar in the slaw workes with the pork. Never had it on beef.
I suggested the oyster bar and you said you didn’t like oysters, they aren’t just about oysters, they have MANY dishes other than oysters which are amazing to watch being cooked in front of you.
I cant believe we have a food critic that has never heard of cole slaw on bbq sandwiches lol. It is all over the south. Come on brother.
Prices are rediculous.

that would be awesome as long as they keep it Texas style
You being a super taster explains why you didnt like the Chili place.
Sir. You gotta try Nine Fine Irishman. I believe it’s better than Rí Rá but it’d be cool for you to compare the two.
if you want to get some good bbq, you need to go to john mulls road kill grill off of rancho and Thom. best bbq I ever had.
Have you tried Rolling Smoke? Not Rick’s Rolling Smoke - that one sucks. Go to the one on Highland Dr.

2 sandwiches 50 bucks ha
Coleslaw is acceptable on a pulled pork sandwich but NOT on a brisket sandwich.
✅✅✅
I prefer my hamburger cooked, lol instead of raw.
Just go to Chilis and get a burger, fries, drink, and chips for $10.99
Coleslaw is a Memphis thing………. Corky’s in Memphis.
also NC but on pulled pork not brisket, people here put slaw on their hotdogs and burgers!
Hey Bob. Can you check out John Mull’s Roadkill Grill. It’s supposed to be legit BBQ.
I can get a half pound burger during lunch 11-4 for under nine dollars at West Texas Chop House on Sunset by the mall in Henderson, of course
🙋🏼♂️. Bob ,are you OTR today? 🍔
Your not in Texas anymore, those prices are ridiculous
I don't have a single position on the opinion
Just copy Texas barbeque
What a disaster meal for the price.
Always keep back from park stops And curbs ! I pulled up to a park stop with my 2004 Bently Arnage and broke the bottom air dam ! You were close !
Don't drink alcohol? I thought you was drinking on your birthday party at home? Coleslaw on a bbq sandwich is a North Carolina thing.
Every once in a while, but not regularly.
in NC/VA slaw is common on pulled pork sandwich, brisket not so much! Then again people put slaw on their hotdogs and hamburgers too!

Waay to expensive for raw hamburger tasting like a quarter pounder.
go check out Mark Wahlberg's new joint .... Flecha .....I think its in a mall
If its anything like his other place, no thanks.

8.99 Angus burger at Emerald Isle with fries kills this place.
