    Holy smokes Alan I wish you could come over to Japan and play with our group. Thanks for this, I’m going to start a witch build again now

    Interesting build, nice to see control animal rather than the obligatory animal companion. I've always gone with poison dart, so it's nice to see a build based on curse and strength

      This build was originally based on Poison Dart and Grenade, then slowly morphed into what it became. Control Animal would be a fun one to bring to a large play group to watch all the Bear controllers sweat. 😂

      @Looted-Data with their Expert Climbing ability and 10 Move they can get just about anywhere. That’s a good way to use the Snow Leopard, plus they have a higher Will stat so they’re more likely to resist Control Animal.

      I built my first wizard and I went with Witch playing as an Elf Druid. Animal companion (Bear), Familiar, Poison Dart; Bone Hand (Entangle), Plague of insects, Strength; Glow and Heal.
      Gonna play it this week so I'm hoping it's a decent build.

    I think the crow master is most thematic. The obvious is the crow/raven assosiation with witches, but also the control animal aspect of the build goes with it too.

      Definitely a good thematic choice.

      That's a strange one.
      I bought the Crowmaster and it came with a Hawk on a rock.

      Looted-Data, the Crow Master is actually able to pick up Treasure (just their Blood Crow can't). I like to us the Master to just grab a close Token, then use the Crow to add support to other figures in combat, or to keep Uncontrolled Creatures busy - because if the bird dies, they're replaced for free.

      Jamie, was that the official Crowmaster miniature?

      @@bricksblocksgaming8017 yes the metal ones. If you look on their web site it shows it painted like a bird of pray. Look great but definitely not any of the various Raven/Crow.

      Thanks man! It's fun trying to find ways to synergize things so the Wizard doesn't just have a pile of spells in his spellbook.😊

    Do ya think that one could paint their models for Frostgrave in the style of Grimdark as defined by Dark Ages Workshop and Grimdark Compendium? I don't want the minis to clash with the lore overmuch

    • @bricksblocksgaming8017
      @bricksblocksgaming8017  11 місяців тому +1

      I'm honestly don't know much about actual miniatures and painting. But the game allows just about anything (and painted however you like) as long as both teams' figures are roughly the same scale.

    I Apologise for the misread and my Typography Sir! I am looking to get a witch , which! (hahaha!-Sorry!), uses a Pack of wolves to act like a kinda-stike team or the wizard while I cast Curse all-over the place! How bigga-Pack can I get?

    • @bricksblocksgaming8017
      @bricksblocksgaming8017  27 днів тому +1

      For actual Wolves you can only have two - one for each spellcaster using the Animal Companion spell - and they take up two of the Warband's eight soldier slots. If you get a Kennel, one of the Wolves can use that slot instead of a normal solider slot - but you're still limited to two of them. You could hire Warhounds to fill some of your other slots...but they aren't that great in my opinion so I wouldn't recommend that. I would be interesting to try out the two Wolf strike team - especially taking advantage of the Kennel so they don't take the spot of a normal soldier. I'd be curious to know how it works for you if you go that route.
