you guys finally made me cry, I had this exact model, it was my favorite bike, got it in November, had to sell her end of march to help with my dad's funeral expenses. I had been in an accident in October , so I didn't really get to ride her much because of recovery time, but thank you for this video, really loved seeing this bike, you rock Block!!!
My vote: Build it as a throwback version of the new Low Rider ST. Teal and black and all that (maybe even a little more teal), do a FXRT fairing, etc. Kind of a retro counterpart to the giveaway bike...
Finally, been away from your channel for a while but I’ve been waiting for you guys to do a twin cam Dyna. Always more fun to watch when the content is relatable.
Following! Have the same exact bike and planning to convert it to club style over the course of the next few months. Excited to see how yours turns out
I’m super excited about this one. It’s close enough to my 2012 FLSTF that I can really REALLY get behind this build! Definitely teal and cream would look really sick!!!!
Love this , have a 2008 Fat Bob and it was one of the only bikes I could sit on comfortably and ride , so will be watching to see what you guys do . I have just a set of Screaming Eagle slip ons for performance mods so far and might just do a air filter and tune next because I like what i have so far .
Bought my Dyna as a project bike. I'm torn between keeping the 21/80 combo up front, I like the aesthetic, or going with a 100 or 110 on 18 or 19 wheels to get more contact patch.
Have an 05 WG in arctic white I think, with lots of chrome. Beautiful bike, surprised how good it looks. Some green or gold trim would really set it off.
I mean there is 40 million videos on UA-cam that people do for performance. And whats possible. It isn't just one single guy with a small motor twin cam doing mods lol
No opinions here .... I just enjoy watching it all come together!! Unless you have color swatches I have NO IDEA what teal or ocean foam looks like. I am sure it will look really good ! THANKS for sharing !!!
Couple of questions. 1. I have a 103 in my '17 street bob, what is the next best cam to put in it? 2. I have an aftermarket SE air filter and that little plug that you unplugged when you took off the stock one, is it okay to just dangle there covered up?
Another great video Block! It's great to see how far you've come in the past few years 🤯. I know it's early, but, What do you think the final asking price will be?, NOT that it matters right now. Keep up the great work, to you, and ALL the Blockhead crew too. 🖤✌
I have 04 lowrider but i went oldskool style. Lowered with tall sissybar old style emblems, tc bros apes but only 8 inch puts same hieght as tbar set up they are a straight across style bar with no pullback, doing yours vintage but modern drivetrain would look good more chopper bobber style, the clublooks getting old and not very unigue anymore.
Got an 09 Low rider mainly stock except for a passenger backrest/rack. Just ordered bars and then going to add a fairing and then exhaust and intake. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Hell yes twin cam content 🤘 sux to know my 2011 dyna street bob is basically worthless (trade in) even if it does have the 110 tire shredder kit which you should definitely put on this build 😏
For the love of Sonny Barger don’t put white walls on there. I can’t think of a worse way to ruin it that white walls, except for perhaps “sea foam green”. Do it black and bronze just like the LRST. You know, the most popular bike ever produced by the MoCo.
Hey Block, i watched the High end Road Glide build video and Chris (sickwideglide) was sportin the "motorcycle things" tshirt, i ordered one and got it today, fits perfect and high quality. just to let you know, i will be rockin this tshirt and representing "BlockHeadMoto" while at Sturgis this year.
I would go with the black and Seafoam or something along those lines. I think the classic look is great for a Low Rider. My Vulcan is a white and Phantom blue which looks seafoam-ish. Gives it that classic look you mentioned. either way, I'm curious the direction you go with this bike and all of your bikes.
I would like to see a performance build that you can tour with then take it to a road racetrack. Fxrt fairing, defender bags and a fxrt tour pack. No white walls though.
I had a 2009 Low Rider with 60K miles when I sold it last year. Like: seafoam striping Dislike: whitewall tires. Isn't it amazing when you start stuff things happen?
Recently bought an 04 Low Rider, carbed, w/12K miles on it and SE slip-ons. Question is, how do I know if I have a Stage 1 set-up w/o disassembling the carb to determine the jet size? Do I first need to dyno it to determine baseline and go from there?
I did the fuel tank cross over line removal once, I know my bike has a 5.5 or so tank ,but I swear , there was Like 10 gallons or more ended up on the shop floor, how that happened, I have no idea!
I've been looking at a cheap '96 wide glide. Worst is it'll need a new frame because some dimwit did a horrible bobber conversion on it, and in doing so, they cut the fender struts off. I can't figure out a way to make it look good again that doesn't involve a new frame. Dynas are my favorites.
I remember not knowing anything about motorcycles at 35 years old. 3 years later I can build turbo Vtx 1300 motors in a week. Done 4 already and now looking to build a vtx 1800 turbo.
@@BlockheadMoto Thank you for answering, I think I may need to clarify my question after you pull front fork tube off the tree do you have to pull for tubes apart to get the lower powder coated? Or are the able to do it by taping off the part the slides in and cap?
@@jcfish847 Yes, the tubes have to be pulled apart and disassembled. Powder coating goes through a high temp oven to set and finish the powder, so nothing else besides metal can be on the parts (no plastic, rubber seals, etc, which are in the fork.)
Love to see a dyna on the show Love the idea of a club style bike, we don’t see club style here in Australia Would love to see a big motor with mods in the twin cam And colour what about primary colour being black with gold, and gold leaf
Definitely looking forward to seeing this come together! I'd wish I would also he able to buy it, purely to say I bought a bike from Blockhead 😆 But I'd rather the bike go to someone who would appreciate it much more than me!
This was a bike sold to us from a customer that no longer used it, but there’s plenty of salvage auction sites out there. Used one previously called RideSafely
@@BlockheadMoto thanks for telling me bro i m here in canada and there re no decent places to buy salvage bikes from thanks for letting me know but what re other reliable sites if u could tell please
😎 Sounds like y'all were set on the teal and black I had a truck with scallops same color but with a pink pin line stripe between the two. I would go with a set of mini apes on there say 10 12 in I can't stand the modern t-bars. Will be watching
I have a question for you and Chris. What are the increasing power numbers on a softail fat bob 2018 with a diffrent air cleaner and a tbr shorty turnout. Just a guess. I cant find any information about it. I just bought a fatbob 2018 with a tbr shorty and a different air cleaner, i forgot the name.. I am so qurious about the power increase.
What color scheme do you all think we should go with? Let us know your thoughts! 🎨
Murdered out!
White and cobalt with a balcked out motor. Too many black dynas out there.
Teal isn’t bad, that’s what mine is and of course the iconic ghost flames in silver to had more horsepower…
Candy red/chrome
Oxblood red and desert sand tan with a little black... all flat.
Seafoam has a special place in my heart as well because the interior of our AAV's in the Marines were painted that color. Do it!
YAT YAS !

Thanks Block. Finally a build so many of us can relate to. 96 twin is an awesome engine.
Finally, been away from your channel for a while but I’ve been waiting for you guys to do a twin cam Dyna. Always more fun to watch when the content is relatable.
Im so happy to see this! I just bought a 2011 super glide custom and will be building it slowly so this is perfect!
Interesting color scheme I like the minimalist approach to the second color.
🍒 Cherry red on the vivid black... with white stripes. White walls too

Love you're doing stuff on older bikes, the bikes we can all afford! PS, go with anything but the club style. Thats been done to death.
Wow looks very interesting project .
I can't wait to see the results .
Congratulations!

PLEASE do more videos of this bike! I have one of these and would love to see what you guys do!
Need to see what Chris can make a 96 do
If ever you're gonna go for a full vintage look, teal and cream paint would look nice and brown leather for the grips and seats
Have an 05 WG in arctic white I think, with lots of chrome. Beautiful bike, surprised how good it looks. Some green or gold trim would really set it off.
It’s galaxy white
would love to see what you do for performance because I've got a 103 and it'd be nice to know what's possible
Swap it out for an m8
I mean there is 40 million videos on UA-cam that people do for performance. And whats possible. It isn't just one single guy with a small motor twin cam doing mods lol
Gixerfoo goes over it well on here search !
Also do you wanna spend 2k or 5k? And always do your suspension and brakes before chasing more power.
I like the sea foam green color scheme. Maybe a stage 2 with a 2/1 exhaust
No opinions here .... I just enjoy watching it all come together!! Unless you have color swatches I have NO IDEA what teal or ocean foam looks like. I am sure it will look really good !

It all sounds so good...other than the whitetails! Please reconsider! Love the new shop. Wishing you all great success!
The old school Lowrider ended after 05 brash.
White wall tires for sure!

i would just black it out Seafoam/teal is such a knish buyer. Like flipping a house, you appeal to a larger audience

About time you took care of us- we are the BAD(Broke-ass dudes...)
Old school look is my vote.
Sea Foam Green is a Florida color!
Standing by for road glide content!
Digging the color combo idea. Some ground pounder pipes bring back memories of just plain loud AF harley.
Love thi. This is my bike but different color. Love to see what you can do with it.
Have you done Part2?
I would like to see a performance build that you can tour with then take it to a road racetrack. Fxrt fairing, defender bags and a fxrt tour pack. No white walls though.
Dominator (or similar) fairing w/ Baja style lights. Highway crash bar/foot peg set-up (Bung King or similar), Pelican Case Saddlebags w/ crash bars (Dominator). Kraus/Thrashin riser/bar set-up. 2-into-1 exhaust (brushed stainless). Paint…Gunship Grey w/ Sea Foam accents.
"Now I'm gonna do what you do to me," as he proceeds to put the camera directly in the way.
I found that too funny.
Love it man I'm a low rider guy
So me what a high compression 103 with a 543 reaper cam or 574 race reaper! 10.5 compression
I like the dyna go with a dark green candy metal flake
Hopefully you will at least do a stage III with it. That’s my only two cents.
What are doing for motor performance since it is a 2008. Sea Foam Green sounds bad ass.
Undecided at the moment, taking recommendations though! 😁
Dark gray and cyan. Think 2022 MT-07 Cyan Storm color combo or dark gray and McLaren orange.
How's this one coming along?
Nix the seafood green idea!
Cool, curious about this!
I had a 2009 Low Rider with 60K miles when I sold it last year. Like: seafoam striping Dislike: whitewall tires. Isn't it amazing when you start stuff things happen?
I’d like to see some budget engine upgrades.
Nix the white walls the rest is fine.
The new dyna bro scene is performance just make it a wheelie machine don’t get crazy with paint and accessories. Just make it clean and fast
Actually most those guys say a 88 is much easy to wheelie. High hp just makes it twitchy

Black and teal, yes. White wall tires, no.

If you're getting rid of that sissy bar... can I has? 🤣... ya never know if you don't ask lmfaoo.
Fxrt faring be a fun build
Teal,. White,. Then Something to break up the two colors like gold or silver stripes,. Or even black stripes. And yeah the whitewalls.
Whats a fair price to pick up a used stock Lowrider TC to built up ?
Not sure, usually find the best deals on Fb marketplace though 👍🏼
I purchased the lowest price HD I could find, and it turned out to be a HonDa.
Turn it into an FXR😂
I like the old school tough guy over club style, lots of chrome tall apes and nice pipes.
Hey Block. You wouldn’t by chance still have the bags from the cheap dyna build? I just bought a switchback and it doesn’t have the oem bags.
Did this one get pushed into the corner?
Nope, we just got all parts back in for it yesterday
I have a 95 V4 magna and I love it the paint is black and that pearl mint color combo it would look dope on this Harley too white walls and all

Do you take the front shocks apart for powder caoting?
Yup! Lower fork legs were pretty marred up so we’ve taken them apart to be redone 👍🏼

Teal, sea foam green, or mint would be awesome classic colors
I want to know more about that Road Star in the background
Came in with a bad tune, we tuned it and now it runs great 👍🏼
I have an 09 low rider, if you're looking to sell those viking hard bags im interested
Send an email our way and we’ll get it sorted 👍🏼 service @ blockheadmoto .com
This is gonna be a sick build. Would love to see more of the Sportster S build if you guys are still working on that
Waiting on parts 👍🏼
Everything flat Black or even gloss Black or Black Cherry . Would Be Killer . But thats Me .
Seafoam, and black with cream pinstripes and accents.
Look at Bel Aire blue. Vintage teal color. Kimber has made a pistol that color. Goes great with pearl hand grips or white walls.
Rake it and throw some beach bars on it, and do the black/sea foam green, with white wall tires like you said 🔥
A 1/4 fairing or a T-Sport fairing would look great.
Love to see a dyna on the show
Love the idea of a club style bike, we don’t see club style here in Australia
Would love to see a big motor with mods in the twin cam
And colour what about primary colour being black with gold, and gold leaf
Didn't it all start with a micro-wave.... ?? Off white.. birch... light tan would work with the "sea foam green" (teal).. 👍🤘🏼
Great job bro! New sub here!
That looks alot like my 2010 dyna street bob
I wish I could come work for you guys, dream job building sick ass bikes right there
Definitely looking forward to seeing this come together! I'd wish I would also he able to buy it, purely to say I bought a bike from Blockhead 😆
