Thanks for the support everyone, glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately this machine proved too tedious to keep this series going. Too spoiled by modern tech 😂
Using DV as an interim codec with premiere might be faster and support higher resolutions and bitrates. 1500kbps Xvid with mp3 audio should be the best of all worlds on G3. You can always remux to h264 on another system if that's a problem.
Well done! If you try different codecs and try a higher bitrate you'll get good quality video without artefacts - or get a miniDV cam and plug straight into iMovie on the iMac.

Yeah that makes sense!
Thanks for the advice. :-)

Yeah that sounds good, as you’ll see in the next video I am doing a fair bit of trial and error with video codecs!
I love this! cant wait to see the other videos!
Thanks heaps!
glad you liked it :-)
The first ever computer I experienced! Premiere 6 looks like a hoot haha
It’s a beautiful machine!.. and yes, premiere is quite fun!
"As you can see" not really, being assaulted by 640 x 480 pixels :P
Hahaha yeah it’s pretty brutal that’s for sure…
At the first sec i thought that that was an old imac g3 video from 199X or 200X reuploaded to UA-cam xD
That is the biggest complement I could possibly receive, thank you!
I thought this was just UA-cam automatically deciding what resolution I want to watch in again! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@masterspartanchief33 HAHAHAH if only... If you think this is bad, brace yourself for my next one...
Nice one. I still have the old MacBook Pro (no video) you can have if you want it? I'm happy to send it to you at my cost.
Thanks!!
Ah I’m not sure I have the room to spare actually, thanks though!
What app did you use on your iPhone to record the video?
It’s called mRecorder. :-)
You can specify the resolution you shoot at. Can’t remember if it was free or not.
