Called it!! 😆 I’m with them on Coral. In fact I’d go so far as saying I regret buying it. It fills the same role as Yellow Dream, which I think is much more interesting and fun to wear. I never bought the original Roma since I have Hawas with that bubble gum scent. The new ladies were great! Thank you Jeff! Nice new background btw.
Yeah, I’m the same way with coral, if you have yellow dream, you don’t need coral as it’s the same situations you’d wear it and use it
bit late but hawas is very different from og roma, i dont like invictus or hawas at all, you just get that resemblance in the opening after that its very different to my nose, mature and sophisticated take on that dna while being sweet but alot less sweet than hawas

Great video I made a mistake wearing valentino coral fantasy last week at a bbq and I did not enjoy it during the dry down it’s definitely meant for the colder months huge mistake on my part it got cloying and sweet but still a great fragrance but for the colder months

Born in Roma is *chefs kiss* some UA-cam reviewers don’t like it but it’s honestly so good and has this juiciness. I don’t own Yellow Dream yet but Coral Fantasy again for me is way more fall/winter (holidays) and I’ve actually come to like it a lot more. If they have a new flanker I’m interested to see else they could do

@@Justme-jp8ih don’t ever worry about projection. It’s the sillage as you move around that is how you get the most positive attention. 5 sprays. 3 neck and collar. 2 on arms or shoulders. Mix skin and clothes always. If you are in a really close contact environment it’s ok to pull the sprays back.

That's why fragrances is totally different on paper rather skin.
I think it smells better on skin as well as it's performance!
We test on paper as it’s the most neutral version of the scent. Roja Dove did a test about it a while back on why perfumers test on blotters

Coral fantasy only smells good on skin. I hated it in-store but love it on my skin. Yellow dream opening is my favorite but they’re right it doesn’t last. Only the vanilla lingers close to skin. Born in Roma smells like a lot of perfumes I’ve smelled so I can see why woman love it. To my nose it’s not my favorite but it’s a compliment getter.

I have the opposite experience, I just sampled all of these and after giving BiR 5-6 full wearings, no compliments.
BiRYD- 3 full wearings again, out and about, with people around, zero compliments.
I blind purchased BiRCF because it was a good deal and I thought well how bad could it be, worst case? Luckily I ended up liking it and upon first wearing a friend complimented me that I smelled really good (she never complimented my cologne before).
I believe that all of these smell better on skin than on paper but Coral Fantasy is especially shining on skin (sillage wise). I find it and YD both slightly more interesting than BiR, that one is too close for me to Invictus..

I kind of agree with the ladies on this one. To me Yellow Dream is an interchangeable 1 or 2 out of the line of these three. For me it is my favorite scent and bottle as it stands out among the others in both ways. The issue is it is so weak performance wise that you go nose blind and want to reapply if you aren’t in that environment that creates a scent trail in a breeze or haven’t received a compliment within the first 1hr 30 mins lol.
Funny sn: I have all three and believe I tried layering Born in Roma & Yellow Dream Born in Roma and it was well received but more so appreciated by mature/older noses as far as the vocal appreciation lol.
But hopefully if they under go reformulation with Yellow Dream they improve the staying power or just make an intense/edp version something like the new Born in Roma Intense I am ready to pull the trigger on as the reviews have been pretty good & I enjoy the first one enough.
Coral Fantasy is Amazing! I have got compliments this summer (night time)… That dry down is 🔥🔥🔥, can not wait to wear it n fall/winter. Love the Valentino line, so far this one is the best in my eyes. Love Apple n Tobacco in scents so you see my biased here lol…

Man as soon as it dries and the tobacco notes start hitting it becomes one of my favorite scents of all time, nothing is quite like the apple mixed with the tobacco

I was wearing "The Office" (which I acquired only few months ago from clearance sale) all weekend, many unsolicited compliments, I can smell many familiar things in it, but mostly its giving me Aventus vibes. Its very strong and dense with powerful silage .

Coral Fantasy and Intense were wayyy too um intense. The regular born in Roma is the sweetspot. Wore it to the chikfila drive through and the lady at the window noticed jt and asked for the name of it. Same happened with the Invictus Aqua

Same family type of fragrance but smell pretty different from each other. I wear BIR more as a night time vibe (it’s great in the day too).
I was hoping for a corral fantasy was a hit but I'll have to see for myself if I think it stinks I'm lucky I have 200 others but I'm hoping it's a hit
I have them all and I must say I tried the smells first on paper testers and honestly the smell is completely different then when wearing it in are skin the coral I tried on paper did not like it then I tried on skin let it dry up and I love it and so do the woman I been with just putting out my experience with this colognes
Testing on paper creates a neutral testing field. It’s also how the perfumers test. Roja Dove did a post on it a while back. Skin can be better; it can also be far worse, or the exact same. Paper remains neutral.
I own Coral Fantasy, and this is one you have to smell on your skin. It's quite unique.
I like it to. Just waiting for it to cool down again to wear it ☀️

So what about performance and projection of Born in Roma EDT? Heard that it isn't good...I know about the Intense and I smelled it, I think that EDT and Intense are sooo different.

The only one that isn’t featured here is the new one. Born in Roma intense. It featured a more prominent vanilla note with the original dna. Did a full video on it. Never worry about projection ever. It’s the sillage that you want and I have no issues with this one. I use this during summer nights all the time :)
@@SoCalScents Thanks man! I first thought that I tried another concentration and not the Intense because the sticker on the bottom wasn't there on the tester but I really smelled the difference. In my opinion the bubblegum DNA of the EDT was there for the whole day and Intense was so different and so "thick"...
But you say there is the EDT and the new Intense so I didn't try something else🤔

Hey Jeff, how have your reactions been with Yellow Dream out in public? I know you like it for cooler weather. Coral Fantasy is borderline unique/weird to me, but YD seems more mass appealing. The original BIR is okay but I much prefer Y Live or Hawas.
I’ve gotten good reactions when I’ve worn it on a fall/winter night. I haven’t worn it a ton because we get so few cool days, but I’ve been happy with it when I have work it. Breezy fall was my ideal wear for it

I know you were trying to get only the line reviewed. But you should have gotten the Intense version into the contest.
This is just the Born in Roma line, didn’t want to add fragrances from the Uomo line that are polar opposite to these.
