I've never tried the original but went to Sephora a couple days ago with my kids and ended up smelling the Intense and immediately thought it smelt amazing and ended up buying the 100mL cause my oldest child really wanted it. Not gonna lie I wanted it as well. It's fun to share my hobby of fragrances with my kids and see how their sense of smell develops with time.
And the intense is great!

I have a 21 & 24 yo daughters who are also into fragrances! I love we share that! And I buy them bottles all the time! The oldest is a floral girl and the younger is a sweet girl! Fills my heart!

According to snobs OG is warmer weather and Intense is for colder. Speaking of original, I do pick up a slight petrol vapor of violet leaf, Im not sure how I feel about it.
I’m so glad I don’t get the gasoline vibe. Definitely check out intense. I could easily wear it year round. Just not a hot day

Heading to Macys this weekend to smell the Born in Roma Intense.
Enjoyed the saltiness of the OG I’m interested to see how they used the vanilla in the flanker.

This is a great video! Do you think it’s redundant to have the born in Roma intense? I like the way it smells and I also like yellow dream, but I feel like I would wear the most wanted for the same situations. What are your thoughts?
It’s more versatile than yellow dream, so I don’t feel it would be redundant with that one. The Most Wanted it will start to float into similar situations. The best thing to do is to go to store, spray it on and wear it around a full day

Great video Jeff. Just scored a bottle of the BIR EDT on a FR group trade. Between this, ADG Absolu, and YSL Y Live, I think I may have too many redundant bubblegum freshies. Thinking about getting rid of one...Which of the three is your least favorite?
All 3 of those smell completely different from each other so they aren’t really that redundant IMO. I like all 3 but I wear BIR the least of the 3. But I think all are good 😊

The OG was just ok for but I grew to love it. It’s prob the most grown on me fragrance that I own. Will be trying the new one this weekend and I’m sure I’ll like it a lot

@@SoCalScents I tried BIR intense today along with Bvlgari Rain Essence. I slightly prefer the intense over the og. Splitting hairs. Very similar DNA it’s just stronger, sweeter, and the salt is dialed back.

The intense is much better smelled in the the air. Close up with your nose right in it is not as nice, but don't get me wrong, this is a great fragrance.
The intense is 👌. But I prefer the o.g.
I have a 100ml Valentino Coral Fantasy and I'm loving it, Jeff do you think it is redundant if I get one of these or both?
Nope! These are fresher and coral fantasy is more cozy fall/winter. So you could totally get one of these :)

@@jaybishop8068 yeah as with the normal born in roma version, people can feel it only in the first 30 minutes I bet, then it becomes a skin scent. Is that correct? Although this could be stronger

Is it redundant if I own Born in roma Yellow dream? I never tried the og and the vanilla note in the new might be the dealbreaker for le to get it
The only one it’s similar to is Born in Roma, so yellow dream or coral fantasy you’d be good.

Younger women like the intense older women like the original more from experience
I tested the EDT for a few days now, on my skin I can still smell it after 10 hours. Others in community say it isn't long-lasting😅
So many people go nose blind to things. I get everyone’s chemistry is different but I honestly think a wide number are going noseblind. So many people don’t spray skin and clothes

soooo is it safe to say that the original leans towards summer and the intense is for colder seasons?
Origins- spring, summer, fall
Intense: fall winter spring
I wear the original mainly summer nights. And think you could pull it off indoors during the winter. Intense to me sits in that 75 and below nicely. I’ve worn it a ton the past few weeks.
I'm still trying to decide on what one I want to get myself .

How’s the projection and longevity on it?? I had the original BIR and I felt like it wasn’t that strong, but it smelt awesome tho
Never worry about projection. It’s having a nice sillage is what you want. Longevity is fine. I only take notes on it if it lasts like 2 hours or lasts way to long and it was neither :)

How many sprays of the original oumo born in Roma?
I generally do 5-6 on it. Neck and collar L, R, Back. Then depending on what I’m wearing. Short sleeved go arm and arm. Long shirt go shoulder shoulder. And if you do 6 go one spray shirt towards the top.

Just bought this! We have extremely hot summers here in Houston and I’m getting compliments almost everyday. So I can hold up in hot temperatures, it starts to mellow into a nice floral scent so not overwhelming for the heat.
So the 2 girls says it´s feminine. i´m not surprised with this kind of dna after watching many reviews and reactions. Some girls get confused cos they think it´s a fragrance for girls. The same with Dior Homme intense. Tried Givenchy Gentleman edp in the store and my sister said no no no. My female friend said she do not like iris in female fragrances so i think this kind of dna with lot of sweetness, iris and vanilla is a hit or miss. I have never tried any Valentino but somehow i think about Italian 90´s disco and gold chains when i see the bottles haha
This one is a compliment magnet among the ladies. DHI of Gentleman EDP are not in that category. Those are hit or miss with the Iris.

Just watching many reviews and i get the feeling that most of them are bubblegum sweet, fruity, a bit unisex.On Fragrantica many people both ladies and men says it´s unisex with amber vanilla and lavender similar to Azzaro-Most wanted. I would like to have something smooth and sensual but still not too feminine. Something that i can use more dressed up
@@glowboyglow315 test them out. These are easy to wear in a suit IMO. Masculine & feminine smells are different for everyone. They do sell a women’s version of these.

What is the main difference between Uomo and Born in Roma?
Valentino Uomo and born in Roma are pretty different they dont share anything in common. Uomo is recently discontinued and was a hazelnut creamy woody fragrance. Born in Roma is a fresh sweet fragrance. Here is a reaction to Uomo below

Dry down on og is that it smells like woody/leafy/green no sweetness

Is the original a good gym scent?
You can use it as one, would it be my first choice, probably not, but it’s on the fresher side.

I wish you wouldn't tell them what they are smelling. Name's impress most people. Why tell them. If they ask, then it's definitely important to them.

A guess a female could wear it. But this is the men’s version (Uomo). The women’s version is labeled (Donna)
