Detailing a FILTHY Golf R and Fitting Tasty Mods

A very good customer of ours is in the Navy, so he's often away for long periods of time. His car was stored in a barn for the last few months, so it was covered in all sorts of contamination and also became a habit for loads of creepy crawlies, evidenced by the number of cobwebs everywhere!
As he was due to return, we had to make sure the car was gleaming for him, so we did a full decontamination detail and tidied up the interior too. We also fitted some brand new OZ wheels and spacers to give the car a fresh new look.

Video request! What exactly is contamination? And how do you guys decontaminate a car? Is that just a wash? Sorry for the naivety and all the questions lads, but my car is covered in something and I can't seem to wash it off

Hello Dave, contamination refers to anything like fallout, road grime, tar etc. all things that land on the car throughout its life. Certain variables such as where you live and where the car is parked can have an impact, for example if you live near a train track you're likely to get a lot of iron fallout. If you park under a tree, sap from the tree will be an issue. We will add this request to our filming schedule, thank you for your suggestion!
