Hikvision IVMS 4200 can be a difficult tool when it comes to using the remote playback feature. Particularly with Hik-Connect log in.
The encoding issues can be resolved by downloading the newest version of IVMS-4200 on the Hikvision website:

DS-7732NI-K4. There is audio during playback in iVMS and in the browser but downloaded files are silent. I will try saving footage at the NVR itself when I get a USB flash drive. In the meantime, surely there must be a way to download files with audio intact.
how do you fast forward if your ff arrows are greyed out?
I have been using iMVS4200 for 5 years but today I can view live all camera and in playback I cant playback 1 camera but rest 8 I can went on my phone hik connect I can view and playback all camera can someone help

What model camera do you have connected to the recorder? Not all cameras have audio. Some are just video. But if you have a proper camera and the speaker on the bottom of Smart PSS is on, you should be able to hear any audio from the cameras.

You can his esc to get out of full screen with your keyboard. If that doesn't work try ctrl, alt, del. Go into task manager and end the program by clicking on IVMS-4200 and the end task botton on the bottom of your screen. IVMS is famous for freezing up.
Used to be that when you clicked the counter-clockwise arrow in the bottom right of a camera view, the choice of time period was 30sec, 1 min, 3min, 10 min. When you chose one of those, you were able to scroll through the entire camera stream. Now when you choose one of those, only about 2 hours are available. You then have to go into the playback menu and go from there if you want to view further than 2 hours. Is there a way to access the entire camera stream by clicking the little clockwise arrow anymore?

What model DVR or NVR do you have? You need to go into recording parameters and enable audio recording. It sounds like you are only recording video, not audio.

One quick question, in the new IVMS-4200 software I can´t modify the speed of the video on playback, do you know any tip about how to speed up the video?
Have you tried upgrading the firmware in the recorder itself? I have also noted the fast forward is a issue with certain recorders using IVMS. It seems to work in those situations by accessing the recorder directly using explorer, but the recorder needs to be port forwarded to do this.

Already did. Already rescheduled. DVR and Mobile ok, IVMS never plays playback again. Damn it.

Make sure you have the latest firmware downloaded to your recorder and the new IVMS. The old version of IVMS was not fluent during playback at all

@@gaiuspadme6344 we have a video on that too! Just go to Hikvision website and click support and resources you will see firmware. You download that file and then upload it to your NVR.
