I used it today 6-7-23 . Went on and off like a champ. Provided good gloss and slickness. Only problem is that it smells so good and looks like a berry smoothie, if you have little ones don't leave it laying around where they might get into it.

    Hi John,
I've just received a new M340d (following an eight month lead time) I'm pretty old school and only apply and buff by hand. What sealant would you recommend for a good base coat on new paint work?
After applying sealant could I then use a finishing wax on top, or does that defeat the purpose?
Enjoy your channel, watch it religiously.

    • @crawforddetailing9221

Sealant first then you can wax on top. I like fusso sealant will last 12 months or turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic spray also 12 months

    • @justjosh11

A true ceramic coating will be stronger than any of these sealants or waxes. If i had a new car id ceramic coat then you some form of sprayable top coat to maintain the coating and help it prevent water spotting and just to maintain overall hydrophic properties.

This is a great product, but honestly I really started to hate the "disappearing" tech they put in. Mostly when I use it on light colored cars I tend to forget where I've already applied. I've now switched over to Jescar Ultralock+ which has a traditional haze, and is EXTREMELY easy to remove.

And in a sense, MEGS also engages in seduction and innovation. The question is whether we need all this, and as a pro or an enthusiast we don't have enough.
The main reason I buy new products is simply to use something new, or because I no longer have a product.
The JESCAR is still preferred. Both in terms of ease of use, durability and quality and price.
Nevertheless, I am very happy with the realistic review and comments that we get!

Ti saluto

I guess because it gives me the satisfaction that it at least LOOKS like it is doing it's job of protecting the paint. I know a lot of people are leaning towards the sheeting game now days, but I would probably put my money towards the hydrophobic product.

XD You're just spreading product Jon, you don't need to crosshatch it or work it in a ton. What you did on the wing was more of like what you should be doing, and even then the crosshatching it was unnecessary, the first regular left to right pass was enough. Remember, as you clearly pointed out yourself to begin with, it's just a finishing pad and you're not correcting paint. You're just spreading product around with a DA. As long as you don't go overboard with slamming giant globs of product on the pad, you shouldn't have to make a load of passes to thin it out, much less worry about crosshatching.

I just cross hatch so theres no gaps if I don't then i get some other guy micro analysing it telling me otherwise. Remember the sheer amount of bs I have to deal with on a daily basis about every micro thing on every video.

@@ForensicDetailing Lmao now I feel like one of those loons for even bugging u about it. Truth is, I’ve been polishing cars for so long that I know it doesn’t matter if you polish in cross hatch, circles or triangles. As long as you get at everything and have good technique/tool control, the paint doesn’t care what pattern you’re hitting it at.
