Simply awesome! Nicely done. The thing I like most about your vids is that they are simply done and informative, even when there isn't a lot of "dialogue". No flare, just simple camera work, capturing the essence of what you are doing. Very similar to how IAWoodsman does his videos. Superb!
I agree with your final assessment. The freeboard was really low but could have been improved by longer hoops. The garbage bag bottom was amazing. Never thought duct tape and trash bags would work for that. I was thinking a blue tarp. Also how did you keep from going through the bottom? More ribs where you kneel would be in order. Of course this was down and dirty so well done.
Hi, Denis Bryant. Um...ladies love duct tape. And we can be impressed by such talents and skills Doug has. He seems to be able to make anything out of stuff found around the ...house...forest....trash bin? I keep duct tape and black electrical tape just in case I need a fingernail re-attached or a facial peel.
Hi, Denis. Lots of ladies are impressed by "smart," and this was wicked smart. Doug's busy brain seems to be able to make art out of scraps--and always with his dry, quiet humor. Now that's impressive. ;>) Goodness gracious!
if I needed to choose just 1 person out of Doug, Joe or Shawn to be stranded on a desert island with I would pick Doug.
nice! -I won't let you down haha
The professor and Ginger would have loved to have you on the island! Lol
He could whittle up a meal!...
Doug is my pick also ,very talented man second is Shawn and then Joe

This is a masterpiece bushcraft video. One of my favs. Skills. Humour. Great setting and shot-set ups. And you made a boat in an afternoon! Awesome.
