Shouldn't you compare Ode 2 vs Timemore 64 (non S)?
He seemed to come to that conclusion himself along the way.
I own ode gen 2. What time should I aim for 30 gram / 500 ml water ?
Would like to see a 64s grind with and without RDT because I have seen other reviewers say RDT is not really required with the Sculptor and that the RDT actually causes the popcorn issues... What are you seeing without RDT that makes you say it's necessary?
I must say I've been eyeing an Ode v2 for some time and the Timemore, especially at the kickstarter price, has me rethinking. I don't currently do espresso at home but I imagine one day I will, and I love the look and footprint of the Timemore.
But the Ode just seems like the better machine if I'm going to be running pour overs for the next year or two. Great video.
Maybe, though I think the 78 may be better than the 64 + ode for pourover (the 78s may even be better then ode according to Kyle Rowsell video). Maybe worth waiting for the reviews to come out before purchasing. I know lance Hedrick has committed to releasing full review just before the Kickstarter ends.
@@chrisdturnerLance review coming on Monday
@@chrisdturner welp I was wrong, it’s out now.
Comparing the incomparable 😂
Really bad popcorning on sculptor ya..any reason for this?
Let's closely look at the next time on live.
It's from the feeding auger. I read RDT makes it worse with the Timemore and probably not needed on as it is low retention without
064s seams pretty slow 😅
Sorry I stopped watching when you compared coarseness settings that are 20 seconds apart in brewing. I understand that is your style and you want to reflect real life scenarios, but when comparing two products but not keeping the variables the same, the result is meaningless.
Yeahh just very little preparation. A few seconds or so is fine but 20 is completely different
Maybe they were ground at similar levels of coarseness, but one burr set produces more fines, therefore stalling the brew. That’s a difference worth noting. I’ve had coffees that simply could not match brew times on two different grinders, regardless of how coarse I went.
This video would be so much better with less filler words ("okay"?). It adds an element of monotony to an otherwise insightful presentation
I think you should be more forgiving of people’s speech patterns when they aren’t speaking their first language.
@@HappyAccidentVideos This is not to judge this generous video! Just pointing out that the lack of structure, the filler words and long monologue limits his audience severly. These are all things that can be easily improved on, and seem unrelated to ones primarily language. Less words, more impact
