    May I ask why you didn’t use wdt? When it’s proven that not using it increases channeling. I feel like it’s a bit interesting saying that there is channeling because they are not seasoned, as opposed to because of no wdt. Additionally I feel like using a leveler probably made it worse than tapping and then just tamping.

      Some people don’t wdt. And so, to them, the “fluffiness” of the grinds matters.

    First shot was a turbo, shouldn’t be underextracted

    I bought a Niche Zero November 2022, should I upgrade to Niche Duo?

      It’s really up to you. Depends on your budget. Sell soon because once the niche duo comes out, it’ll be harder to sell the zero. I actually just sold my zero and I’m going to get the 078s. From certain reviews, it seems as though the taste is on par with grinders worth thousands.

      Two different profiles between flat and conical, I think alot of ppl would run both to get both

    Shots with different times and lots channeling cant be compared... do you think it's a fair comparison?

    • @HoonsCoffee
      @HoonsCoffee  Рік тому +2

      You're correct. I want to focus on the workflow and static issues on the grinder. When I finish seasoning the burrs, do the proper comparison then.

    • @edgarari8497
      @edgarari8497 Рік тому +1

      @@HoonsCoffee the issue I think is that you are making certain statements that kind of make the product feel as though it isn’t doing very well. Like saying “I expect channeling because the burrs aren’t seasoned” when in reality it’s because the grounds weren’t distributed at all. Which is why it also happened with the df64. Wouldn’t it have been wiser to use wdt for both and see the differences in taste. I know you stated that you were trying to show workflow and static issues, but wdt is part of pretty much everyone’s workflow at this point. And because your bed of coffee was so uneven despite you saying it was too fine, it probably extracted so quickly because there was no density in that part of the basket.

    What would you compare the 64S to? Are they as good as at Lagom P64?
