Thank you so much for all your post and information learned so much from you and. Especially the meals my dog just got diagnosed with kidney failure so I’ve been preparing a lot of home meals..
$2000 is insane🤯 I only paid $120. I ordered it through my shop app. It's from Glacier Peak Holistics. I sent in some fur and got the results emailed to me within a week. My holistic vet did mention that none of the tests are 100% accurate but still good to have somewhat an idea..
My dog gets inflammation at underside of the tail base and perianal after swimming daily in our pond. She will swing around like something is biting her backside. Not sure how to help her. I can’t keep her out of our pond. I try drying her off good when she is done
Can you provide guidance for cats as well? I have a cat who is itchy , I was initially against steroids but then eventually gave in. But that did not help much. Now the vet is saying he has to go through blood test and biopsy. One good advice that was given was switch to rabbit meat instead of beef and chicken. Do you have any advice for itchy cats?
My pup has what the vet said as a type of bacterial skin infection. Scaly rash mostly on her stomach. She was prescribed Rilexine and vomited. Is there a holistic approach that isn’t antibiotics ?
See if you can find a groomer with a Thera-Clean system. Works great to clean up infections. You can also bathe with antibacterial shampoos. drjudymorgan.com/products/project-sudz-organic-shampoo-bars?_pos=11&_sid=48031f949&_ss=r
I have a question. My baby is 8 yrs old. Just started kibble/raw in December. He ate beef for over 3 weeks. He is scratching and licking. He is discoloring his fur. The vet put him on apoquel 3 yrs ago for flea allergy. His fur/skin a little flaky like dermatitis. I want him off apoquel so bad!! I cut his apoquel in half.
It could be anything. This time of year the dry heat can contribute to dry skin and itching. Food allergy is also a possibility. This is the wrong time of year for environmental allergies, but they can develop allergies to just about anything, including carpet fibers, dust mites, and cleaning agents. Your veterinarian should be trying to get to the bottom of the issue rather than putting a band-aid on the symptoms with the Apoquel (which can lead to cancer from immune suppression).
@@judymorgan4241 I agree with the band aid. I don't have carpet. The heat is very dry. What type of testing do I request from the vet. She isn't a holistic vet😢
@@barbarasmith4560 For food allergies, I like this test: drjudymorgan.com/products/nutriscan-by-hemopet?_pos=1&_sid=3f7959526&_ss=r For environmental allergy testing I used a blood test which your vet could draw and send in: spectrum.vet/for-veterinarians/allergy-testing/ If the dog has fleas, you definitely need to get rid of them first. For dry skin, add omega-3 fish oil to the diet: drjudymorgan.com/search?q=omega+3
@@judymorgan4241 I have an important question. I noticed today that his urine is dark yellow. I'm not sure why. With all his scratching, licking and nibbling on himself is he releasing toxins???? Someone told me in my raw feeding group he could have a UTI so that has worried me. He doesn't have any fleas on him either. I was wondering how long it takes for these toxins to release. I've sent off for a sensitivity test to see what he's may have issues with food wise.
@@barbarasmith4560 Dark urine generally means it is more concentrated. It happens if the animal isn't drinking well or is dehydrated. But it can also mean there are pigments in the urine from bile breakdown. If it continues, drop a sample off for the vet to check.
Thank you much for your information!😻🥰🐶

Do NOT use Apoquel.
Many bad side effects.
I went to an allergy vet. They wanted to charge 2,000 for it. They don’t do individual allergy testing. Way too expensive

Hi, Which is more accurate US food intolerance for pets or 5Strands tests for pets. Thanks
I have not used either of them, so I really can't say. I use Nutriscan. drjudymorgan.com/products/nutriscan-by-hemopet?_pos=1&_sid=d354ed72d&_ss=r
What is sm and cm? Could we please stop with the abbreviations?
Where do you get the sublinguals from ?
