- Mama'alawe Organic Fruit Farm on Maui has over 50 durian trees that have just started producing fruit. Tasting Durian is much like wine tasting... according to varieties, locations, soil, weather, growing methods...
All these fruits are from SE Asia. I'm surprise Americans start to like durians. Chinese also start to love durians and they even start to plant durians. Durian value has gone up so much. King of fruit.
Durian is king of the fruit Mangosteen is Queen of the fruit Lychee is Prince&Rambutan is Princess of the fruit. You're the luckiest lady to travel to all the Durian orchard in the world thanks to everyone ❤ Aloha&Mahalo.

In Singapore, majority of durians came from Malaysia and it cost around roughly 6-20 USD per kg and it is in big demand. Approximately most family spend around 300 USD min per season that would be roughly 500 million dollars on durians alone at least. Travel to South East Asia and you know people crazy about durians. The durians shown here is definitely cheap.
It certainly looks like a champion durian. Should grow cultivars of this variety in Malaysia
Look Pretty Good Durians there, although grown from seed, look like Chanee + Monthong hybrid! Just need to improve on the fertilizer when fruiting to firm-up the flesh & taste using Sulphur and Boron fertilizer when fruiting! When the tree is not at fruiting season, Organic fertilizer such as Fish-waste fermented in water for 1-month, should be used! Durian Trees certainly love fermented Organic fertilizer as it had hairy & shallow roots above ground!

I did not know durian or rambutan or longan or mangosteen can be grown in maui (hawaii)
This looks like a Monthong Durian, which is well-known in Thailand. Normally, it weighs 2-3 kg, but it can weigh 6-8 kg.
Nice clone D123@chanee... Hopefully they can start planting D200@Blackthorn and D197. Both are superior quality type of durian.

They took the seeds/seedlings of SE Asian fruits (most importantly, durian, mango, rambutan….) n grew in Maui, Hawaii ? Tropical climate, rich soil….can grow

Actually don't need to use knife to break.open durain , just a strong tool ( blade metal pc no need to be sharp ) ply open at the bottom " star " section.

Yellow skin rambutan is very much better taste and sweetness. Get it from Malaysia. Its name is rambutan gading.

thanks for letting me know! I did check through it after rendering, but my computer has trouble with lag so sometimes its hard to tell if its a problem with the video or with my computer 😅 planning to get a new one soon so it won't be an issue

1. Black Thorn - Penang Malaysia
2. Raja Kunyit - Kelantan Malaysia
3. Musang King - Across Peninsular Malaysia
4. Red Prawn - Kedah, Malaysia
1,3,4 also got in Australia (frozen), yet easily got in Indonesia. Very pricey. USD100-200 per unit fruit grade A. In Malaysia, these going very expensive due to deliciousness. Place to find all is Penang, June to August. August sometimes is no more longer available. Raub Pahang maybe another best place in Malaysia. Kuala Nerang, Baling, Sik are in Kedah, among famous places too.
Once you taste these durians, you know why the price is like that. Hard to grow, easily died trees, expensive fertilizer, no poison are allowed.. And many more to control for organic trees. You need to grow the trees, then you will know why. 😓😓😓
I grow 150 durian trees as well. Grown no 2, yet the trees were so sensitive. Hard to grow.. I need to polish my growing skills. 😍😍😍
