- Monday I visited a farmer in the durian capital of Thailand in #Chanthaburi durian provence .This farmer has 2 farms each with 200 trees of monthang .One farm has 7 year old trees that produced 10 Ton of Durian this year the second has 15 year old trees that produced over 20 Ton of Durian this each .He sold all his Durian to a buyer for 150B per kilo and grossed 4.5 million B in USD.That's 125000 USD with less than 400 #Durian trees .
I walked around and he pointed out that some trees can produce a ton and other younger trees produce as little as 50 kilo

That’s awesome man! Excellent video.
Thanks Chad👍
Year, love to see Durian frarms, the close planting is amaizing. My father in law planted betwen my 6m one additional tree and I was scared, this will be a problem in the future. After seeing this, I fell good with this situation, specially because it is sigle planting every 6m(now 3m) with Mon Thong 6m and between Musang King which grows much slower and more compact.
Hi terry
I have got family to plant 120 plants in second farm. Will come back from UK next month to see progress. Happy to see you post more videos about your farm and farms in your area. 🙏👍👌
really enjoying your durian farming journey, great content
Glad you enjoy it!
Great location. Informative video. Yeah...I'm sure some will push back on the spacing, but hard to argue the results.
Absolutely
WOW awesome results from such small areas Terry, must give you some confidence Mate
It does I left that place feeling really positive
Awesome! Where is this exactly and can we go during durian season? We are headed there in July, hope it’s the right time :) we are looking to visit and buy some Durian and Mangosteen too actually from farmers that don’t use pesticide. My husband is Thai so we are traveling around when we come visit family this summer. Thanks for the video, it’s great.
I have 3 farms in kanchanaburi and one of them has all the fruit you want to eat .you are welcome to visit .we will have lots of durian and mangosteen .
Our farm is next to this place

You must try musangking durian ,,from Malaysia bro,,
That's is very good ,,,and from Indonesian is bawor durian,,,
Never had it in Malaysia, had some in Thailand it was good I would love to visit Malay and Indo to try the local fresh durian
@@TMDurianfarmer in Indonesia is Bawor durian ,,,is very good
Thanks for the amazing video Terry. Can you explain how the double tree planting produces more fruit?
Appreciate sharing the info 👍🙏🙏
In the double tree Planting method are two trees same variety or different verities. Similarly with triple tree Planting are all the three plants same variety or different
They are all the same.I planted some different verities together to experiment with for cross pollination and they are growing good together.
Sir TM very nice farm you visited..
Interesting tour....💕💕💕
Glad you liked it
Thanks for another great video Terry, what type of durian was he growing?
They had Mon thang
Hi, awesome video and I have to say very informative. I am wondering how people go about security? My and my wife are thinking of using a couple rai to create a durian farm. But we are worried of people getting in and stealing our durians. I wonder how you go about that?
You will need a fence and some one to watch over the fruit during the last 45 days before harvest .I have night lights also
Thank you for the video. I think its more than 7 meters
It's possible just a guestimate
Insyallah I'm gonna start doing a durian farm in Kelantan soon, Thailand's neighbour. How's your Malay?
I just want to say, you are smart and you've been blessed to realize that Durian farming is gold and may you reap high yield. I find your videos fascinating because it confirms my thinking about durian farming with some solid info, like your farm layout and double planting technique plus your watering methods, i learnt quite a bit. Thank you and God bless.
@@muslimspeakmy I don't know Malay but it would be nice to learn. You are in Malaysia cool .Once set up I can visit if possible never been there ,and always wanted to visit. It would be great to do a farm tour in your area..
What species of durian will you grow ?
Great video! I have a question, do you know which provinces in Thailand that are desired for durian apart from fruit capital, Chanthaburi? Plenty of rain and loamy soil? Thanks
In kanchanaburi that's where my farm is and also in south Thailand .
Great info Terry, gonna be planting 2 acres like you have, double trees. I actually plan to pair two different varieties as a pair to aid better cross pollination. What do you think of that idea?
I'm doing it also I have about 30 double blended trees .once I get my first crop I can give feedback on the difference
@@TMDurianfarmer great. I think what I'm doing will be a first time thing here in Sri Lanka. Looking forward for your first crop!
Hi Terry, Is there a need for grass growing under the trees?
It shades the young roots .
Hi Tim
Can you confirm how many of the 200 trees that produced 10 ton of fruit were at the right age to fruit please? I’m trying to get a good idea what 100 trees on a 4 Ri farm would produce. 😊
I'm not sure . I can tell you about my friend's farm with 80 trees that are 7 years old . Last year he harvested 6 ton . I hope this helps you 👍
❤❤
I'm not a farmer but my thai wife owns alot of land on Pitchit. Can we get somebody to make a durian farm on our land?
I'm not sure about that
I see in Pattaya market is selling for THB150 per kg at retail some months ago.
Are these grower selling retail direct or going thru a wholesaler ?
The durian being sold local is not export grade .They sell to the sourcing agent that then sells to the exporter
Try to watch all your vedio learn be planting son in soithern Phillipine retiring being enggener on a motor yatch
👍
How many rai was his land, Sir?
First farm was 6 and the second farm was 8
