After watching countless different leagues of different motorsports I believe MXGP might be the perfect representation of what a good spectator motorsport is. So many mistakes can be made and so much of the outcome is driver skill over who has the better machine. This stuff is incredible to watch.
I'm Dutch so naturally I'm excited for Herlings to do well. BUT I am absolutely blown away by how fast and steady of a rider Cairoli still is. Let's not forget he has been at it for a while and has quite a few years on Herlings. And not to mention, I believe I read somewhere he has asthma to deal with as well.. outstanding performance by the Italian
Arguably the most beautiful footage from MXGP I have ever seen, and, of course being played out by such amazing talent makes it perfect. Besides, a contained narrator is also a joy, for nothing is more annoying than hysterical screaming (MotoGP...) when the action heats up.
Yeah these guys might fastest to ever ride a dirt bike but being in the lead that’s the hard because everytime someone is leading like they always have to fight off the person behind and they can’t look back because they don’t know what might happen if they might crash or run into somebody or something and they don’t know what guy is doing behind them ha it must being the leader
Am I the only one that's sitting here watching these vids and being impressed as shit that Antonio is competing to the flag with the fastest thing that's came through the GP's in decades ? In moto we start fading after 25, AC shouldve retired years ago but somehow the man can still throw it down like hes never won a championship and has everything to prove. #respect
hahahaha WHHOOTT 25 hahahahahaha u clown motocross riding is for the mature prime in motocross is 30s 40s even older if hunger is there its not a tough sport so plz save the 25 bullshit
I think tomac is the only guy who could potentially compete. Guys like Villopoto and Carmichael could have as well, I think there's a mental edge you need to have too.
Cole- Play 100%. Everyone can get the technique and physical fitness. What separates the average pack from the greats is the mental game. Lack of self-preservation is the first step and possibly the hardest obstacle to overcome.
Cairoli looks bit shattered, he put everything on the table and that wasn't enough AGAIN , Herlings is a beast , that pass on the final lap and way how he hold the tight line with that speed - amazing!
yeah, Cairoli said that couple weeks ago, he doest have as much power and agility as back then , and he's aware of that, anyways these two are still beating the rest of the field easily.
Awesome racing action! I'm in the U.S. and Herlings is my favorite MXGP rider. The Bullet!! Wish he was racing the '22 outdoor series over here in the States.
Absolutely awesome footage - these guys are totally on the edge! This is probably one of the best MX vids I've seen - up there with Carmichael/Bubba. Good to see the handshake at the end of Moto 1, after Hurlings tipped Cairoli off. Well played!
this was a great weekend, never have we had it so good in England, 32degrees, super racing, the speed JH and AC were showing on a super gnarly track does not come over on video. what a weekend.
Tony Cairoli with all the staff of the De Carli Team and KTM Italia. From 14 years dominate the tracks of the whole world Tony Cairoli has proven to win even without front brakes, without clutch and without suspension I believe that a champion can see where he has difficulty and continues to give gas TONY CAIROLI THE GOODFATHER FROM MXGP
Yea Jeffrey is a beast what great talent and strength. Looking forward to seeing him at Redbud in early October. If Eli is on I could see them battling hard.
Logan Hughes, I think Musquin lost a bit of his MOJO after the Tomac run in. He probably gets booed pretty good at each race now. Put him back with his European counterparts and he will be feeling good again.
P Bau, I go to a few AMA races a year & if the rider is European or American nobody really gets booed, the crowed respects the hard work these guys & the teams go thru
That's why I love mxgp "let's put those replays on hold for the moment" Meanwhile in the US (15 minute battle for the lead) "we are at the 15 minute mark remember 15 minutes could save you 15 percent or more with geico, also let's watch the holeshot replay and a few words from our sponsors" and that's only if the mavtv stream doesn't glitch out or buffer.
Wow, check out Cairoli @ 7:19 coming out of that turn. Front wheel in the air for a good second while his back tire was sliding out all over the place! Laying down that power!
As an American, I am VERY impressed with Moto GP racing here. I am a little confused/concerned that Herlings would treat his teammate, Cairoli, like a bumper car... I mean, they are on the same team, right???. Perhaps all if fair in love an war?
I cant wait to get tomac and this man on the track , a ton of people are gonna be shocked . Is herlings fast? Absolutley but when he faced tomac last year in the U.S. tomac was wrapping his championship up and , still getting a feel for his kawi and getting his mental health back to the confidence it needs. You dont risk a full year of races for one that's not even gonna line up next week . Believe me , Tomac has that swagger back like he did on his Honda, it WILL be a different story when they meet again.
Im reading all this and think... Do you guys only see AMA?? A week later there was an MXGP race in the US and Tomac didn't have anything to lose and got smoked by Herlings and Cairoli!! So whats the next excuse??
The bullet spanked the AMA boys last year at Ironman first time ever riding the track and will likely do it again here in a couple weeks at RedBud, a track ET3 has ridden many times. It's going to be an epic battle, provided they both stay injury free until then.
Harrie Gosens tomac won the first moto??? Tomac also won all 4 gps that came to America the year before... smoking everyone... even josh grant went 1/1 against eurotrash... josh fucking grant. Don’t get me wrong incredibly fast/talented, but not someone who’s battling over here for wins Herlings also got smoked by cooper Webb and Austin forkner.... smoked.
ET3 had to just get 10th or better to wrap the outdoor championship last year and even told the media he backed off and wen't on cruise control so as to not fuck up his outdoors title. Put em together this year and see what happens. Herlings is a punk and a goofy looking one at that. He's afraid of Tomac an should be. He's MXGP winner, wow that's like saying you're the fastest guy in middle school. It's comical.
there is only one premier mx competition in the world and it is the gp's not this little 12 race thing the ama does in the summer. you want to be the best you must leave the bubble of the usa.
Yes, Herlings is still able to beat Cairoli even when Tony is going that fast, but it took Jeffrey a lot longer than in the past to catch up; both races basically last lap. I think Cairoli is getting better racing heads up against Herlings. Hell, Tony may even be faster now than he's ever been! Like canuckguy basically said; this ain't over!
After watching countless different leagues of different motorsports I believe MXGP might be the perfect representation of what a good spectator motorsport is. So many mistakes can be made and so much of the outcome is driver skill over who has the better machine. This stuff is incredible to watch.
You mean rider skill, but I agree.
Yes in Mx the track changes all the time. In road racing is stays the same most of the time
I'm Dutch so naturally I'm excited for Herlings to do well. BUT I am absolutely blown away by how fast and steady of a rider Cairoli still is. Let's not forget he has been at it for a while and has quite a few years on Herlings. My thoughts exactly i was like damn he has been riding at this level sense Ricky Carmichael days!

As much as I love American MX tracks I have to say that track is absolutely beautiful looking, and dam these two are freaking fast

Just watching these two legends battle it out raises my pulse.
I’m pumped to watch Herlings and Eli face off both at the top of their games. It’s going to be epic
After seeing Herlings spank us on our home turf and seeing this video... safe to say he's the fastest outdoor racer on the planet.
*cough* Tomac *cough*
I know what you mean. I’d be curious to see if Tomac could handle Herlings this year
I think tomac is the only guy who could potentially compete. Guys like Villopoto and Carmichael could have as well, I think there's a mental edge you need to have too.

Keti ko Tomac is fire this year. New bike helps too
Cairoli looks bit shattered, he put everything on the table and that wasn't enough AGAIN , Herlings is a beast , that pass on the final lap and way how he hold the tight line with that speed - amazing!
best comment!
We are lucky to withness these two fighting bar to bar. Great times for MXGP.
Herlings is 10 years younger, don't forget. On top of physical conditioning, a 20 year old guy is also much more reckless
yeah, Cairoli said that couple weeks ago, he doest have as much power and agility as back then , and he's aware of that, anyways these two are still beating the rest of the field easily.
canuckguy worried how many ...'s do you need a to put dude
Wow! Dudes are ripping!! Sick video and yes I'm American! No debate from me! Dudes killing it!!

Herlings is preparing for the US MX-Nationals.. ;)

That’s how motocross is done! Greatest sport on the planet. Those 2 are friggin warriors!🇺🇸🇫🇮
I absolutely love how they can shake hands after a battle like that, even though Herlings gave him a right ol' smack.
True sportsmen right there

both are great riders, but Herlings overtake on Cairoli in the last lap was fantastic!!!!
Cannot wait to see Roczen, Herlings, Tomac, Cairolli & Musquin all on the same course later this year. Barcia should be mentioned as well.
P Bau nah musquin cant keep up lol
Logan Hughes, I think Musquin lost a bit of his MOJO after the Tomac run in. He probably gets booed pretty good at each race now. Put him back with his European counterparts and he will be feeling good again.
