Great explanation for me but what i am not understanding is turn a rounds. How many there are when to use them ect.

A turnaround is usually a guitar lick that happens on the final 2 bars of a 12 bar progression. The intro to Buddy Holly's That'll Be The Day is a good example. (even tho it comes at the beginning!)
