@EricK-dn7pz I know Catholics who do know Latin. I don't speak, read, write or understand Latin. If I were a member of Catholicism then I would have to learn Latin. It is an ancient language, but many words are derivatives of Latin. Some public education systems in some nations still teach Latin. I don't attend Catholic Churches but I know traditional means the way things previously were, so I am pretty certain that those in the Catholic Church would undoubtedly resolve the issue of some in the pews not understanding Latin.
Many years ago while visiting my husbands relatives on Easter weekend we went to Church with them. They were Catholic, the service was in Latin (1981) and I got the gist of it. That's the only time that I ever went to a Catholic Church though.

I don't think very many people are following what The Holy Bible teaches though, simply by looking at the behavior of the people in the world today. I realize I'm older and from a time when all stores were closed all day Sunday, closed early on Wednesday and everyone not only had daily reading of The Holy Bible but attended Church at least 3 times a week. The people in the world were a great deal different than they are now. So that is why I don't think many people are following what The Holy Bible teaches.
I'm also grateful that The Lord will be doing the judging on Judgement Day because only He knows what is in each persons heart and mind.

it’s not abt money, the main reason it’s essential for women to go to college now because husbands cheat and divorce their wives and are leaving them alone with children to support, so yeah a college degree is kind of important for them. College degrees also can be a safety net for women to leave abusive relationships now, so I wouldn’t say it’s only about money.

As a Catholic millennial woman, Ive personally noticed that there's a significant movement among young Catholics, ranging from 18 to 37 years old, toward traditional practices such as the Latin Mass, and more conservative values. This younger cohort is noticeably more conservative than the generations that came before, particularly compared to the "boomer" generation within the Church. Many students at this college seem to resonate with these traditional views, and I personally found Harrison’s recent speech on this topic to be profoundly truthful, addressing essential issues for women and the Church and our role in modern society.
Traditional Catholicism, to me, represents the true essence of our faith. Pope Benedict XVI once said, "An authentic interpretation of the Bible must always be in harmony with the faith of the Catholic Church." This aligns with the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which states, "The Church's tradition faithfully reflects the teachings of Christ and His Apostles" (CCC 78). Sadly, not everyone understands or respects these traditional practices, and it's disheartening to see traditional Catholics face criticism for their beliefs. Harrison is speaking behalf on all the Catholics who embrace authentic Catholicism. He is sharing traditional Catholic values to a traditional Catholic audience of young Catholics who are embracing traditional values. I see nothing wrong with his views, his speech was him speaking to the choir. There is nothing wrong with a Catholic sharing Catholic values with a Catholic audience. This speech was for a niche school not for the entire world to hear, it just got so much publicity because he is a celebrity in the NFL world.
In addition to spiritual pursuits, many young Catholics, myself included, aspire to embrace traditional family roles. I hold a graduate degree Masters and although I’m educated, my dream is to become a mother one day. Despite personal challenges like infertility in my marriage, my dream is to become a stay-at-home mother. C.S. Lewis encapsulated this aspiration beautifully, saying, “The homemaker has the ultimate career. All other careers exist for one purpose only - and that is to support the ultimate career.”
To further emphasize the sanctity of motherhood, Pope Francis has expressed deep reverence for this role, stating, "Motherhood is not a hobby, it is a calling. It is not something to do if you can squeeze the time in. It is what God gave you time for." His words echo the Church's enduring defense of motherhood as a fundamental pillar of family and society.

The others don't have to agree or accept his position but they are very wrong to want him punished for making statements they don't like or disagree with. Freedom of speech is meaningless if only speech you agree with is tolerated.

I had a career until I had children. When they were in Pre-school, I volunteered, then took on a part-time job as an aide there so they could ride with to and from school with me. I transitioned to 1/2 time in the church office so I would be there at the end of the day, and continued there as they went on to drive themselves in high school. Wouldn't have changed a thing.

Except it was not a church gathering. It was a graduation ceremony where women spent at least 50000 $ for a degree. There is a time and place to preach your faith. A graduation ceremony is simply not it.

I was born in 1963 and was a kid when the Church stopped doing the Mass in Latin. My dad was not happy about it. The point is you’re correct. It was less than 60 years ago the Church stopped performing Mass in Latin in every Catholic Church. So how is extremism to attend Latin Mass? 🙄

As a Catholic, Latin Mass is NOT extremist. Nearly all Catholics have at least gone to one. I don’t know a Catholic who has never been. It’s not cult like, it’s optional and people do it BECAUSE THEY WANT TO. No one is forcing them to, it’s not a sin to not go to one in Latin.
