I was in high school (10th grade) when I first fell in love with this movie and soundtrack. I did an art piece while watching this movie. I'm 38 now and I still and always will forever love this song and film..
Parts of this movie were filmed near my home in Sarasota & Bradenton Florida. The dilapidated mansion is actually Cal d’Zan (John Ringling‘s mansion of Ringling Brothers Circus fame). Ringling‘s mansion is actually quite beautiful in real life looking nothing like they made it look in the movie. Do a Google image search for the mansion to see how beautiful it actually looks. The set dressers did a great job making the mansion look like a rundown dilapidated building. It is actually a museum now and a National Historical site here in Florida, I like to visit it from time to time to reminisce about my favorite film.
This is my all-time favorite film. I recently gave birth and we named our daughter Estella. It’s been my ‘baby name’ since I was a child and fell in love with this novel/film.
This melody has stayed with me throughout the years, I will dance and shed a beautiful tear of peace while she is in my arms. Without hope, there is nothing! Shed out there
Yap. One if my favourite scenes in the movie. A lot of people forget that she asked him this when he was a boy. Must have seen this movie 40 times. From all the make overs this is by my my favorite.
What I appreciate most behind the story...Mr Densmore, even though she manifested her revenge on love trough Estella, she embraced her pain and rejection Portraying her resentment and anger over love through her erie loneliness at Pardiso Pardito. "paradise lost". In my opinion she made her pain beautiful. She could've just tried again and not have loved so much as before or never haven forgotten her true love...But she chose to never let that love go...and allowing in to manifest inside her. Her interpretation of pain and love is a remarkable and true observation of what love can be. Roses have thorns. You pick one you can bleed. The music is fantastic and well suited in this version of great expectations. And what a cast.
Listen. What? Walter asked me to marry him. He wants to marry me. Really? Yeah. Why are you telling me this? Because... I just... I wanted to know if you had anything to say. Congratulations. Sounds wonderful. I wish you both the best of luck. I've got to go. I've got to... I've got some business. :/
Great romantic music full of love and emotions, difficult to find a comparable work these days as the worst people and fraudulent politicians support ugly noises and pictures rather than genuine pieces of art.
Agreed Jane. I hate what she does to him, but at the same time, life's not a fairy tale. I just remember him running him running in the rain back to her, declaring his love for her, spilling out his heart, his soul, makes me cry just thinking about it, we all know the monologue i believe.

Estella... Someday I will find my engenue.
To anyone who has seen the paintings in this film: do you like them?
not a lot :)
Lana Del Grace why... do you like them?
Lana Del Grace I love it
Yes, indeed. It has the style of paintings and ubiquitousness of an illustration. Both. It can also be called as illustrations not just painting.
I love them! Francesco Clemente’s art has always been so beautiful to me.✨
What is this song called
ZAHRIA THOMAS ?????? Can You really read???? it's right there in the title duh!!!! omfg.....
