As someone who never watches guides nor takes much away from them - this is really good! Perfect character to demonstrate how to play the game on as it lets you show off your learnable game knowledge rather than simply relying on mechanics. You’re very good at explaining what you’re doing and why you’re doing it as well! More please!
Marco I’ve been a fan of you since the division one days. The way you present tutorials and gameplay styles is perfect for my brain. I’ve grown to love dead lock and your videos have been my go to. Thanks for everything.
super great video. no need for a script. discussing the match events in real time sounded great. looking forward to more videos along these lines for other characters. Also super valuable to show mistakes that occur throughout the match. Sweet stuff, Marcus.
Super awesome guide man, especially with the 2 part. I really enjoy the thoroughness put into both videos, and the combination of the 2 is perfection. I'm not an avid DL player, but I do play Abrams when I play so thank you very much for this! Keep up the good stuff and I look forward to learning even more with your videos!
I think another really important thing to keep in mind, not even abrams related but generally is to steal the opponents camps when you can. If you can get the T1 towers out try to push in and get some of their camps while keeping your side up for more potential souls. The loss of their T2 camps could lead into a huge snowball for your team and can lead to real easy wins. But since abrams is so good at pushing lanes try to get up and steal T2s whenever you can.
First I want to start by saying I love your videos, they are educational as well as entertaining. Second I would like to mention that I truly love the long videos with full gameplay, I work a very hands on job so I can’t touch my phone very often meaning long videos really do it for me while I work, and I would assume that others would also agree. Once again thank you and have a wonderful night.
thank you for this 2-part guide! i'm new to mobas and often feel overwhelmed and useless in my games so i appreciate the breakdown of how to lane and maintain map control. your videos have helped a noob like me so much so keep up the good work brother 🫡
This was really great, much more helpful than a traditional "guide" as we can see how you apply your thought process and strategy in real games. It's also nice seeing a scenario where you are "losing" lane a bit early on to show how you can come back and still dominate.
I hope you know your videos are insanely helpful. I wasn’t sure what the hell I got myself into when first installed. I still don’t know everything, but leagues better than when I started because of you
great content and i really like how you did the guide video with tips/techniques previously then entire game vods with commentary on micro and macro decisions for the same character
This style of explaining is definitely good. There are a LOT of new people coming to MOBAs, more specifically Deadlock. I'm still figuring out the puzzle in my head, what's a priority, what's not a priority in any given part of the match. It's a lot to learn.
Love this breakdown, really helps with how to play Abrams along with your guide that you made earlier! I think something that will help people with future breakdowns would be a quick summary after the VODs to help bring the more important points of each character!
The build guide was good but this really helps solidify an understanding of why the things you said in the guide are good are applicable/good. If you make more guides in the future i definitely would like to keep seeing these kinds of replay analysis vids as part 2s to them. I know it's early into game development so lots of things will change quickly as patches come every few days but i would also love to see videos with your advice on important lane/hero matchups with tips for how to position or what to do if you're playing from behind
I love things like this more than guides, because personally the hardest thing about MOBAs is knowing where I'm supposed to be. Should I be laning? Should I be farming jungle? Should I be ganking? Should I be preparing for a teamfight? Videos like this help me see examples of the decision making that goes into that, and it helps a lot.
Your guide and this gameplay is the reason I'm picking up Abrams. Been mostly playing Pocket, Wraith, and Yamato since starting so it's great to learn what tankier heroes are looking for over the course of the game.
I'd be interested in seeing how to play when you're behind a bit. The explanations for how to stay ahead and keep the advantage is useful, but the majority of the games of newer players, I think, will be how to approach the game when they're trying to make a comeback and to obtain that last walker or their next flex slot etc. Content here is super useful to see the different stages of the game on Abrams and just in general though!
I just got into the game over the weekend and I'm still very much figuring out which characters I like (doubly hard because I'm new to MOBAs so I'm having to learn a lot of fundamentals lol). I hadn't really given Abrams any thought but your guide got my interest, I'm gonna try him out when I play tonight!
Thanks, good to watch after the guide to see it in practice, so definitely more of this. It would be interesting to see tho what to do when behind in lane, or when a lane matchup is though.
For me personally I always like to start my game with infernal resistance before then getting siphon and putting one trait Point into it within my second string Point goes back to infernal resistance and then I grabbed shoulder charge with another 3-point into that and then do the same for the ultimate before the hard lighting into infernal resistance and time Max it out before then going back to the ultimate to Max that out and then lastly I boost my duration for my shoulder charge and then for my siphon with them as the last two Max outs I go for siphon and then lastly I go for the level 3 should charge
idk if you'll see this comment, but this was a great video and I like the format. The only critique I have is that it seemed like the commentary audio was slightly ahead of the gameplay video; not much of a downside, but just noticeable
I noticed that your hotkeys aren't the standard setup. What do you have your hotkeys set to, and is there any particular reason or is it just personal preference?
copied yesterdays Abram’s build, dropped 39 kills and 79k player damage second game using it. keep the big blue monkey gameplay coming, we are here for it
Would you consider getting a new mic for these videos XD it might be just me but your voice is quite muffled and full of bass and makes it hard to understand sometimes. I tried with headphones and my speakers and it's still quite muffled sounding. I love your content and have watched all your Deadlock videos.
Sweet Jesus, can you stop calling them 'Patreons'? PATREON is a monetization platform. The word you are looking for is PATRON (the word that Patreon is derived from).
Love your DL content but please stop referring as pocket as a guy :( I know it's smth to get used to but itgenuinely would be really nice to have someone like yourself refer to them properly 👏🥺

Please do more of these! I love the macro gameplay of the moba explained instead of focusing on flashy plays. It helps me get better at my own game

love your deadlock stuffs, wish you best
I wish abrams would break it down during gameplay
i would absolutely buy tf2 style taunts
one bad thing about this game is the limited goofiness potential
I hope you know your videos are insanely helpful. I wasn’t sure what the hell I got myself into when first installed. I still don’t know everything, but leagues better than when I started because of you

Never realized how much I missed Marco content regardless of the game, keep it up

Big fan of the guide+commentary combo. I would watch more for other characters, as it’s super helpful.

Actually exactly what I was looking for after your guide on Abrams

Great stuff, Learned a lot. I'd love to see a VOD showing how to play when your team is behind
Your guide and this gameplay is the reason I'm picking up Abrams. Been mostly playing Pocket, Wraith, and Yamato since starting so it's great to learn what tankier heroes are looking for over the course of the game.
Really like your style of content, but you definitely deserve my sub after some of those Metro clips 😭
Damn bro, pls do more like this i could watch it all day

Agreed! I find it really difficult to figure out how to catch up with Abrams.
Ok I definitely like him, I think Seven is still my favorite so far but Abrams may be #2
@@schmiddi5768 both very good noob friendly characters :). I hope you enjoy the game lad
trying to learn this game whilst never playing a moba or shooter before must be hell
@@cycy8699 I've played shooters before lol, just not MOBAs
31:22 I love the phrase. I will be using it from now on as I have been bullied by many trees.
Gotta love the "Now does pull ups on the zipline once again (this is a buff)" in the patchnotes for abrams :D
Love the content, love format!
Love ur vids on deadlock!
I forgot to ask it on the guide video, but what is your opnion on tormenting pulse on Abrams?
You teach me so much with your videos! Excellent job on all your content I will follow you far
Great video. Thanks. I look forward to your future videos.
Thanks, good to watch after the guide to see it in practice, so definitely more of this. It would be interesting to see tho what to do when behind in lane, or when a lane matchup is though.
loved the commentary you should do more, maybe even expand out to other hero's eventually as well
Wife Dani?? Congratulations Marco.
thanks
I tried Abrams after your guide and the stun fails are real, was greait seeing you don't have to do everything perfectly to still play well
For me personally I always like to start my game with infernal resistance before then getting siphon and putting one trait Point into it within my second string Point goes back to infernal resistance and then I grabbed shoulder charge with another 3-point into that and then do the same for the ultimate before the hard lighting into infernal resistance and time Max it out before then going back to the ultimate to Max that out and then lastly I boost my duration for my shoulder charge and then for my siphon with them as the last two Max outs I go for siphon and then lastly I go for the level 3 should charge
Can you please do another one of these videos with the newest patch?
would love to see more casual gameplay with friends!
idk if you'll see this comment, but this was a great video and I like the format. The only critique I have is that it seemed like the commentary audio was slightly ahead of the gameplay video; not much of a downside, but just noticeable
the first match smells very similar
was eskay the vindicta?
I noticed that your hotkeys aren't the standard setup. What do you have your hotkeys set to, and is there any particular reason or is it just personal preference?
Im trying to get a consistant melee Dynamo build going. Are there any items you guys would suggest?
Can you come back to the division 2? It’s been so long
Please do more
AFAIK, debuff reducer makes it possible to hold parry out of abrams charge
noticed a lot more abrams in my games since this vid dropped
can you do a vgs guide
I like your affable "I presume its more fun shooting players than minions." Sorry we are all going to have that problem with this game.
more of this pls
Super helpful, learnt a lot about macro, thanks.
copied yesterdays Abram’s build, dropped 39 kills and 79k player damage second game using it. keep the big blue monkey gameplay coming, we are here for it
The first game is such an one-way fight.
Not buying torment pulse on Abrams early is a crime.
Would you consider getting a new mic for these videos XD it might be just me but your voice is quite muffled and full of bass and makes it hard to understand sometimes. I tried with headphones and my speakers and it's still quite muffled sounding. I love your content and have watched all your Deadlock videos.
I miss your destiny videos 😢
More commentaries like this pls very informational I already play better!
