Years after the events of Heavy Rain, Shaun Mars works as an android designer at CyberLife in Detroit. Due to his experience with the Origami killer, he decided to design a police android that would assist the police. So, in August 2038, he developed the RK 800 model and named him Connor.

What this man went through to save his son is unbelievable, Ik its just a video game but it shows what a father would go through for his children
I wish Grace could do something like that for Shaun but all she can do is crying and make investigation more difficult.

@@guestb6319 try to see it from Grace's pov. She knew nothing about the letters, what she did know is she left Shaun with his dad, and Ethan lost him while under his care. It is unknown whether Ethan told her about any of the shoebox trials. That and she mentioned that Ethan rambled at some point about blacking out and drowning bodies. What could she do more at that point without given any context of what's happening?
Correction: Everybody lives except for Jason and Shelby.

What makes Scotts defeat even sweeter is how he's too busy fighting Jayden to find out if Ethan managed to save Shaun in time. In the end, he died never finding the closure he ruined so many lives looking for.
I can't believe he's even determined to kill Ethan even though he passed his trials and actually saved his son

@@tomedy_official he didn't want to go to prison. He might have gotten what he wanted. And he may have been dead inside. But he planned to rebuild his life somewhere else now that his dream was fulfilled.

@@JabamiLain that logic doesn't really work since that's what triggers the scene, and your comment states he's killing ethan because he personally doesn't want to go to jail(which also has logistical issues). Not to mention if he's willing to let Ethan kill him in one ending because he thinks the police will kill Ethan, then that should be the case in all of the endings with the police.
The fact that lauren will never be happy in this game always makes me so sad.
Hopefully she can start anew with the closure that her son’s killer is gone.

I wouldn’t necessarily call Norman’s ending a happy one in this. Sure he gives up triptocane and gains fame for being on the scene to rescue Shaun/apprehend Scott, but he’s also dealing with hallucinations from using ARI so much. I always prefer to leave him out of the rescue scene, leading to him trying to start anew outside of the FBI.
In my playthrough I messed up in the fight against Shelby and got him killed. It was pretty cool seeing him pop up inside the glasses when that one detective puts them on.
2 years late, but theres an ending where Jayden doesn't suffer hallucinations, if you know where to find the clues immediately without having to rely on the AR, you'll have an ending where Jayden is in a diffrent more brightly lit room and ends with his glasses being in a dusty drawer
I've gotten the platinum for this game, beat it countless times, and the scene where Ethan is failing to revive Shaun and is begging him not to die still chokes me up. The voice acting, music, and story buildup are a work of art. I'll never forget this game.
I took the full bad ending. All dead and evil prevails. It fucked my christmas spirit....lol
I manage to get a good ending in this game after I royally fucked up in Detroit become human game lol. I feel a lil better now 🤣

I think the story of "Heavy Rain" goes beyond the trope of the love of a father. I think it's about having goals and what are you willing to do to reach them. That's why the endings I made sure the endings I got corresponded to my vision.
-Sometimes we accomplish them and evolve (A new Begining);
-Sometimes we accomplish them but don't make any progress in our lives (Heroine);
-Sometimes we fail, but get close enough ensure our legacy lives on to teach others (Uploaded);
-And sometimes we accomplish them, but the means we use to reach the end eventually has karma cath up to us (A mother's revenge);
-Now I'm going to reverse the roles for Ethan and Shelby. Because sometimes we are so flawless in the way we commit atrocities that the consequences never fully catch up to us (Unpunished). And sometimes, even though we accomplish our objectives and deserve to be rewarded, the world is cruel enough to deny us that rightful reward (Ethan's grave);
These 6 endings are remind us that we must keep fighting to pull it through in this cold rainy world. And the reason why we must fight, is because people like Scott are always lurking around the corner. This final lesson is going to be represented by the endings "A new Begining", "Heroine", "Uploaded" and "Unpunished" put together. The most realistic collection of endings (at least for me).
Meanwhile I think it's funny and complete garbage. :D

My ending:Ethan found his son and saved him and lived with Madison,Norman left FBI to live normal,origami killer got killed by Ethan and origami’s killer partner went to his grave to swear at him. I guess it was a happy ending right?

Just finished the game and came here to see if I got the best ending. The only difference was the apartment scene with just Ethan and Shaun together at the end, no Madison.
I'm guessing you have to let Madison kiss you in the motel room for her to join Ethan and Shaun at the end, but it just didn't seem like the right move considering the circumstances at that moment. Weird time to kiss!

In one of the endings it says that the glasses are getting updated. So most likely, if he didn’t quit using the glasses, he probably switched over to the new model.
Don’t be sad about it, pup. I’m sure everything’s gonna be fine with Jayden.

There actually is a better ending for Norman, where if you don't take Triptocane at all, Norman removes ARI for good, saying he'd rather live in the real world.
Edit: I AM AN IDIOT! It’s only if he DOESNT reach the warehouse! Triptocane means nothing!

@@MrXemrox It wasn't the opinion that made me an idiot, it was my information. I was an idiot for thinking that the triptocane was the only thing keeping you from that ending. After doing more research, I found out the trigger was Norman not solving the case.
They need to make a HD version of this game
I was literally one move away from the best ending and it was because of the motorcycle scene at the warehouse and I screwed it up. Those damn controls.

came here after rewatching xqc stream this game, litterally worst ending. I was so pissed off xD
I honestly didn't realize that the FBI agent died super early on my first run, I assumed he was knocked out as part of the scene, slowly as more and more of the story passed the realization sank in that he died, which sucked cause he was my fav from the little that I saw

I remember reading a Gameinformer article about Heavy Rain, and they mentioned in theory it's possible for the game to continue with all 4 main characters dead.
Of course, it's not possible to kill all 4 characters by the end, Ethan and Shelby basically can't die until the final warehouse scene. The game can END with everyone dead but otherwise, they'll live to the end.
Oh you can get an ending without even making it to the warehouse. In which ethan doesnt complete the missions, gets arrested without ever finding his son and then hanging himself in prison. Madison dies beforehand when she is kidnapped and the fbi guy dies being beaten up by one of his suspects. Then shelby almost gets killed but he saves himself and leaves the black haired woman to die. This is probably the worst ending you can get, i saw it in callmekevin's series in which he failed as many events as possible
this game shall forever live in my head rent-free through “Press X to Shaun” and absolutely zero other aspect of the story

I like the final scene with the prostitute. The voice actor did a good job conveying her confusion and revulsion. The French accent threw me off at first but now I just imagine her as a French immigrant in the USA whose life went askew.
Not quite sure what happened in my playthrough. I didn't manage to guess the passcode as Madison so she didn't make it to the warehouse therefore she couldn't warn Ethan and then Ethan didn't get shot, the police wasn't even there.
The ending canon changes horribly depending on who makes it there was very little thought put into what happens

I hate how you can't have Scott get arrested even if you save him he deserves to have all the victim's families confront him, I get it is a game I am just saying I think it would be a better ending if Lauren and the other kid's family members were able to confront him.

Seeing him on trial being found guilty would’ve also showed the I’m not a killer like you are. Also the public shame, the end cutscene of him rotting in a cell knowing he failed, Lauren confronting him in jail would’ve been really good
The best ending is the ending where Ethan and Norman find Shaun and Madison survies but she doesn't find the adress.

I got the ending with Shelby dying Ethan and Maddison and Shaun live together Ethan is proven innocent but FBI agent died from overdose in the office no police present at the warehouse and Ethan killed Shelby

When playing Heavy Rain, players have different interpretations on how they want to end in.
To me, Ethan and Madison start a relationship, Jayden in the continuing his work in FBI, Shelby dead is canon.
Everyone in the warehouse seems like the perfect fit!

I almost got the best ending except in didn't got the scene with Ethan & Madison together living happily even though I did everything right... I think the part where I fucked up is I as Ethan got caught 2 times with cops so Ethan got released afterwards Separately and he didn't participate in his son's saving and for some fucking reason just screwing up that game didn't gave me the happy ending for ethan and Madison together even though I pick for them to love each other and forgive plus both of them were alive till the end ?!

Well… all except life with Paige… I dunno, I just thought that if I would’ve heroically saved Shaun, Grace would find strength to forgive Ethan and make a reunion… *welp*, seems like their relationships were too tense for that after Jason’s death.

I played and was bad and had to search for the best ending cuz I got the worst ending possible with everyone dead :(
In my first playthrough i got ALL the Worst Endings (except for Scott where at the end Lauren kills him LMAO), the one where Ethan kills himself in prison, the one where Madison is in her apartment surrended by LOADS of criminals and the one where Norman is dead and appears as a Digital Ghost when Blake puts his glasses on. (But the thing is that now Blake will suffer just as Norman suffered with ARI which makes it the second worst ending of Norman).
@@jinthekingkazama1159 Smoking Mirror is Norman's worst ending. If he survived, but Shaun dies, his guilt and Triptocaine addiction will overcome him, he will overdose on Triptocaine and die.

I got this same ending but this scene from Norman was not in my game.
That means you succeeded in completing the game without using the ARI glasses too much, therefore getting Norman's true best ending of the game.

I prefer much more Scott over Madison and actually you can save Ethan. Norman and Scott and only kill Madison and Lauren. That's one of the best endings because Scott despite everything was cool character and I hate Madison and Lauren.
