I like how at one point the killer kills a lady while we, as Shelby, are in the next room and then at the end the game retroactively changes that scene to make Shelby be the killer.
Not to mention we are given full access to Shelby's thoughts at all times, and throughout the game he never once thinks to himself that he is the killer, but actively tries to "solve" the mystery. So the game adds an unneccessary gameplay element that it thens has to actively lie to us through in order to make the twist work. So the game is actually WORSE for being a game, when if it was a movie the gameplay gimmick wouldn't have destroyed the story.

I wouldn't even really say ironically. I love how the game has no game overs so segments can have story-altering consequences. I think most of the action scenes are appropriately intense and entertaining. Put the game on the highest difficulty and play it with some friends for maximum enjoyment. Things can go wrong but that's a lot of the fun in Heavy Rain.
My favourite part of Heavy Rain was when Scott Shelby showed up, went "It's Scott Shelby'in time" and then proceeded to slam everyone's head into a fridge door David Cage you've done it again

I felt the same about Shelby, my favorite character was Scott Shelby and my best friend who played through the game with me said Ethan was his favorite. We both accused the other player's choice as being the murderer until the end but he ended up being right and I felt betrayed.
The original story was that Ethan was the killer and the blackouts were when the killer side emerged. It was also supposed to be more supernatural, but due to time restraints, or something, those ideas had to be scrapped. The blackouts are never really explained and there are a few other glaring plotholes but overall I enjoyed my time with the game, at least when it came out.

But the man also gets undressed. Isn't that also pointless nudity? Is that model based on a real life person. Did that person consent?
@@Liggliluff Did they model his penis? That's what I'm talking about: They didn't have to actually put private parts on the models, but they did on her character model, and she wasn't happy about it.
@@gnbman I wish someone would model my below average weiner into a mediocre video game
@@gnbman I heard once that they did, and I wouldn't put it past them. They seemed to take pride in their photorealistic human models.
you mean elliot page???
13:00 Scott's face LMAO
The happy Nintendo music in the background once I noticed it was all I could hear
That's Ace Attorney music.
KeybladeMasterAndy if u look at the description yes there is some ace attorney music but also hella Nintendo specific music throughout the video
KeybladeMasterAndy there was also Donkey Kong music
@@jackl3in Oh, right. Sorry. I just recognized the Ace Attorney stuff.
KeybladeMasterAndy it’s all good

OK, so I actually kinda love Heavy Rain even if the story is one of the dumbest damn things in video games.
Ironically right?
I wouldn't even really say ironically. I love how the game has no game overs so segments can have story-altering consequences. I think most of the action scenes are appropriately intense and entertaining.
Put the game on the highest difficulty and play it with some friends for maximum enjoyment. Things can go wrong but that's a lot of the fun in Heavy Rain.
dyldragon1 it's really not that dumb. It's got it's quirks and all but I love it
@@dyldragon1 Yeah because game overs are a failure of the game designer. At least it's not as terribly done as in Beyond.
Nolan Rayner Oh no it’s incredibly dumb
These kinds of games pain me.
Except De Blob. That's an interactive movie game I can get behind.
These "interactive" games are just so melodramatic and boring, at least IMO!
My favourite part of Heavy Rain was when Scott Shelby showed up, went "It's Scott Shelby'in time" and then proceeded to slam everyone's head into a fridge door
David Cage you've done it again
Was known as Fahrenheit Europe
Was known as Indigo Prophecy in N.A.
Now its Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy lol
when yoshi on the NES comes to the switch they should call it yoshi: yoshi's egg
Heavy Rain: Raining Heavily
In theaters September 29th
Kinda wish they called it Celsius in NA
“Oh boy I can’t wait to get depressed” - Scott
Also accurately describes anticipating Bojack Horseman
When Ethan says "I'm not some ordinary father. I am Heavy Rain", I felt emotions.
Truly one of the games I've ever seen

Why am I getting a notification???
Wolverine olso
Mr Nepe I was thinking about that
No lie when I saw this I spent like five minutes laughing at the mere CONCEPT of Scott reviewing one of the most memed games of all time!
For his next trick, he's going to play Life is Strange and witness how developers viewed Millennials.
Brian Kelly but millennials are adults
@@randomduck8679 And? The game was first released in 2015, I was 25 then and the main characters are 18 or so. You could make the argument that they're on the line between Millennials and Gen Z'ers but when you listen to that dialogue, it reminds me of Millennial stuff on Tumblr back during that time.
This is the funniest Scott video. I’m still dying laughing after 3 months of watching it
It's amazing how David Cage always makes games that manage to get my hopes up every time despite me hating everything he's ever done.
He's a good businessman, if anything, I guess.
He's also more money then you

“Private Dick and Prostitute! Solving all the problems of the dead children!”
“…kid’s pretty dead.”

Honestly do more of these! The quantic dream series is perfect for....well being made fun of.
another perfect Scott the Woz episode. He's on a hot streak of 100 uploads in a row
Heavy Rain may be a joke, but you know what isn’t? WEBKINZ
Lunatic? Yeah fits you.You should keep your name.
Jonatthan Duggger HAHAHAHAHA TIC TIC TIC TIC!
Lunatic J WEBKINZ was absolute fire.
De blob
You’re a joke making winceworthy quips like that.
i love heavy rain it shows why David cage shouldn’t be allowed to interact with other humans
Or write games in general.
I’d love to see a similar video on the other two games.
For people who want to be deeply immersed in heavy rain, play with the brightness down the lowest and set aside 9 hours to do it all in one go. It's an amazing experience
Scott: With these games you either love them or you hate them
Also Scott literally 17 seconds later: I'm straight down the middle with my stance on these things
Heavy Rain is a Tommy Wiseau story that somehow got taken seriously as "serious interactive storytelling"
That's basically every game Cage has made. Only fun because he tried so hard with his train wrecks... just like The Room.
Detroit: Become Human is a mix of The Godfather and The Room
I’m weird because I actually really like Detroit and Heavy Rain.
@@mrchiefbs people also like things like Sonic so... don't feel bad about it, even if it sucks 😅
Look up "Tommy Wiseau Best Friends" if you want a movie of his that can be taken seriously in any capacity.
Can I insert my fan theory on how Scott is Tom Holland's secret long lost brother?
I was thinking about that like 5 months ago!
Sans is ness what a retarded theory
@Abubakar Omar tbh tom holland sucks as spiderman. The original spiderman trilogy was the best (despite pete going emo)

I felt the same about Shelby, my favorite character was Scott Shelby and my best friend who played through the game with me said Ethan was his favorite.
We both accused the other player's choice as being the murderer until the end but he ended up being right and I felt betrayed.
Still waiting for that 20min L button video scatt
The original story was that Ethan was the killer and the blackouts were when the killer side emerged. It was also supposed to be more supernatural, but due to time restraints, or something, those ideas had to be scrapped. The blackouts are never really explained and there are a few other glaring plotholes but overall I enjoyed my time with the game, at least when it came out.
A Heavy Rain video with Mario Kart Double Dash music.
*Perfect*
4:20 *flashbacks to Ethan from h3’s recent Twitter post*
...... No.
the double dash, kirby and ace attorney music really added to the video
I don't usually play games only around a story without much gameplay but ace attorney is awesome.
I love the art work for that game, like it seems really charming but I feel I'd go through it once and be done with it.
@@hadolfitler3316 I do that with most games. I play it to 100% completion and don't really come back to it unless I really enjoy it so much that I 100% it again like with samus returns or super star ultra. I do go back to games sometimes though for fun but yeah with ace attorney you might just have to wait for the next game or replay old ones in the distant future when it's not fresh in your mind.
Sometimes I don't 100% games that I feel offer nothing new. Im not a full on completionest. Kirby is a dream when it comes to 100% it though, New bosses and hard challenges!
