@@drawingjackrabbit401 still wanna know how they make theese fakes.. Like you said I also believe they are originals but dont get the Ok for the first market.. Like Ripley in Alien Resurrection, if you know what I mean hahah....
@@hithere6769 apparently in China people pay the employees at the factories to steal the molds and give them to them. So they can go off and use them to make bootlegs. But the terribleness of the alien resurrection line is just NECA being NECA, money grabbing Cheepskates 🙄 until 2020. Now they seem to have realised quality increases sales.
It's a ko... Can't expect too much. The orig cost like $100 on ebay right now and no re-release. I bought two at release and the arm broke off immediately. Contacted neca & they sent me the wrong replacement part then said they didn't have anymore so I was screwed. Never saw them in the wild again. The others just don't articulate like this one. A little floor polish will tighten the joints, some clear gloss for the wet look, and little white paint here & there as needed. Not a bad deal. Fingers cross neca makes more.
The bootleg version has its nails painted in bright sloppy silver while the genuine does not, at least for the avp warrior (the genuine grid alien however does have its nails painted). Was there an imprint serial code/mark on the back of the clamshell box for either of these figures? The bootleg version hasn't got it as far as I know. Thanks for the review and keep it up!
Thanks for the support :) I cant remember, sadly I don't have the packaging for either of them anymore, I may have the backgrounds from inside still, I'll have a look for them. Thanks for the info.
The Plastic is very simular, but the joints are alot looser on the fake, and the paint is different. The head pops off very easily, and the figure struggles to stand due to the loose joints.
Great review, buddy. I was just wondering, is there a copyright sign on the inner side of its right hip? It should be something like "@ FOX. All Rights Reserved. Neca 2015. Made in China".
The best thing to do is Toy Fairs. You can meet genuin sellers and examine the toys yourself before buying. Don't trust eBay or Amazon, they sell bootlegs too! That's all I can really think of. If you find a genuin seller on eBay then you may be able to find a real one for a good pricce, but be careful.
I know it’s been a while, but I recently bought the grid alien. Looks amazing but just noticed the paint job on the head looks like it’s been over lapped at the top! So pretty sure it’s a bootleg!!!🤬I really don’t want to get it out of the packaging!
I'm sad to report, but these are indeed bootlegs. *The vast majority of cheap items from Wish or Aliexpress are bootlegs,* often created by the same factories as the originals but done to lesser standards of quality control. The Chinese factories then sell off this product and keep all the profits, with none of it going to NECA nor the franchise rights owners. Very illegal, but also very tolerated online at the moment. It's known as *"The Grey market"* , factory extras being made to dodge copyright fees. Also, there are differences with the packaging on these figures although it's hard to tell sometimes. I have had many items from Aliexpress...before I realised they were bootlegs. I replaced all my bootlegs with real ones from reputable sellers (at huge cost to me) and I can tell you the packaging is different. The factories are basically doing a second run of the production of both the figures and their packaging, and it's all done to a lower standard of quality, leading to these differences. For further evidence and info on Chinese bootlegging see this UA-cam channel. *I would advise anyone not to fund the criminal activity of bootleg toys. -* ua-cam.com/video/tI9DOnAjxgs/v-deo.html
Aliens that can't stand? Didn't know Aliens could get drunk, or would? Maybe after the movie they all go out for a pint with Sigourney and The other cast and crew.
The printing on the KO packaging is different if you make a close comparison. It's easy to spot when they're side by side.
The grid had more blue paint on the chin on the real. The AVP alien design is my 3rd favourite under the big chap and resurrection aliens.
I really thought the original would look better.. I own the Fake one and I do like the wet look..
Its strange isn't it 😕

@@drawingjackrabbit401 haha , I did mean like in the Movie, how they tried to clone Ripley..😆
Ya I think I'm gonna just get the fake one cause it does look better
The one on the left looks better 🔥
It’s the slippery look

Is the bootleg has same similar plastic rubbery material as the original?

awesome figures!
So what are the differences?
The head falls off of the grid alien on the official too
Gracias bro 👌

I cant really check at the moment because it's packed away. Until I get new shelves for my room.

@@richardrossi5637 sorry to hear that! Unfortunately real ones go for alot on 2nd hand market now. Hopefully NECA may re-realise them.
I could tell that the right one was real because I remember the mold shape of the teeth of my figure.
The fake actually looks better😂

Where would you find reputable sellers for them?
Even if they're old and costly, I still want to try
Damn. I bought some of those tears back from ali express and they look awesome. But I figured they were fake or something. Damn
Real? I thonk bootleg on the right side
I know what you mean, but I swear the one on the right is real. It's wierd
I thought so too

Wish I'd got a sober Alien instead 😏
No entendí pero bueno 😔 creo que se nota
