This the Antal Dorati/LSO recording is my favorite. The Erich Leinsdorf/BSO recording runs a close second. I've always wondered if The Scythian Suite contains all the music that Prokofiev wrote for the ballet [Ala and Lolly ] or if there is there a longer complete version of the ballet score lying around somewhere..

Ballet was planned to be completed, but Dagilev rejected it. So Prokofiev wrote it as a sort of EP
@@danieldroppa3170 Ah I see. Pity there isn't any more music because it's such a great, albeit short, ballet score.
