    Hey there! Love this vid. Wondering if you have tips on removing pin backings to make a cool pendant?
    Thanks

      I assume you want to remove the pin on the back of a broach?
      Just clip it off with a pair of pliers.
      Then file the rough edges down with a file or Dremel tool.

    Hi! Have you tried using something that's not metal? I have fun little plastic toys from the thrift store I'd like to make bolo ties out of and wondering if that'll hold very long. thanks for the tutorial!

    • @stevebalog5980
      @stevebalog5980 Рік тому +2

      Hi Lillian. Yes, if you use a good epoxy plastic toys will work fine and hold on. Make sure the clasp is free of oil, including what's on your skin. Acetone is the best cleaner -- aka Nail polish remover.

    For stones/gems do you recommend the dremel step on the back of the stone? Or is that just for plated metals?

    • @stevebalog5980
      @stevebalog5980 Рік тому +2

      Grind BOTH the back of the stone and the metal piece. The epoxy will hold on all those micro-cracks. Good luck with your project, James

      Epoxy -- it comes in two tubes. They are mixed together, applied and the they harden. Or you can use a good quality glue - Super Glue, Crazy Glue
