There are a lot of styles it’s hard to compare but joschos combination of techniques, insane precision/tone, rhythm, speed, all to end of expression not “empty shredding” is pretty hard to beat
He is a real master guitarist. I wish he was known in the United States. Very few people in the United States know him. All they know is Hendrix, Clapton, Van Halen etc. you know what I mean... Very few people are familiar with Gypsy Jazz as well

I'm constantly astonished at how Joscho can shred so damn hard but keep it so musical and inventive at the same time. Playing a lot of notes isn't that impressive but playing such well-chosen ones sure is!
Joscho keeps digging up these great players & vocalists! Wouldnt surprise me if he ‘dug up’ the real Django one day (although Reinhardt might wonder how these guys stole all his riffs!?)
I wonder if they sped the video up. It seems unreal how fast he is playing. I tried slowing it down and it sounds more like the real way it is supposed to sound.
