The TOR to me is one of those vehicles that could be the worst in the game yet I'd play it because launching missles just looks that badass.

I'm not usually a russian bias believer (unless its era related) but this is ridiculous, they completely skipped the tor and added the most modern spaa they could possibly add while nerfing the hell out of the mouse guided missiles that current spaa's have.
@@CatWithAOpinion It would be like adding the F-22 to the US tree last patch. Every other nation got mid-cold war SAMs while Russia got a post cold war SAM.
Like even the F-22 is older than the Pansir!

A proper RWR that tells you what Vehicle locks you could help pilots to know what they have to deal with on the Battlefield, would also help in Air Battles.
well if warthunder was going for realism with this system then only NATO aircraft would get this, while russian one’s could tell signal strength, direction, primary threats, SAM, or awaacs
there’s probably a few specs im missing with the russian one but it sums it up, while the NATO RWR shows where the signal is coming from and what aircraft it’s coming from
It would probably make the game more confusing as they'd have to add abbreviations for both air to surface and air to air radars.

They need to implement the computer linkage between the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior and the AH-64D Apache longbow to truly get the Hunter/Killer Concept in the game. With the Kiowa warrior forward of the Apache the Apache can fire its missle and the Kiowa can link it in their system to put the round on target. it was the same concept that was used when the AH-1 Cobra has TOW missles. I can also see the Aviation rotary assets in game link themselves to a friendly UAV to spot for them.
I find them to be easy kills with the Tiger UHT, their size makes it hard for them to hide from PARS, and they rarely even see the missile coming.
Which is why I respect the pantsir player's in my team

And a su25 tanked 5 pantsir missiles ,only the 6th obliterated him

I am in love with the Tor improvements as I love vertical launch missile systems (therefore love the Tor) against fast jets you can usually fire at them from 14-15km away (outside of your normal launch range) if they are flying towards the battlefield. 13-13.5km is better for slow jets like A-10

I want this vehicle since it has a cool launch mechanism but I am not willing to grind a whole tech tree from the ground up. Hopefully they copy paste this to USSR tree too.
Now that the VT1 has been needed into the ground I can just drool at this thing.
No joke I think they should do 2 things :
-Replace the pantsir with the Tor (they did it with the premium CV90105 for balance reasons)
-Remove the nerf on other AAs (ITO, flackrad, 2S6)
And top tier would be back to at least somewhat of a fair place
Not only you need to do extreme maneuvers to evade, you also need a lot of chaffs, like really a lot, even better if you're low too.... I haven't been shot down by TOR in my Harrier Gr 7, but my FGR 2.... died a lot to it lol.
That jittery radar lock looks like its causing the missile to have a lot of guidance efficiency loss tbh
its your pointer/crosshair thats guiding the missile the radar is just there to help you with that. you can shoot the rocket without any radar lock.
Watching the missile is genuinely hypnotic.

The Tor is a SAM that I want to try an get someday buuuut well GF ain't my strong suit with the highest TT machine the PG87, but a lineup currently is/was the ZTZ-96A(P), QN-506 & Q-5L for CAS plus the PG87, Z-11AW & M64 such a sad lineup mostly premium/event something majority of any mode mains hate & I don't blame them.
The Q-5L is definitely a fun yet hard aircraft especially in ARB due to the meta & well gimped nature (no CM nor missiles yet something that's historical yet missing).
Hm in the first clip a 2S6 committed blue-on-blue out of frustration against Kamov Ka-50's ((Barring politics) ironic as in the current european conflict russian IFF must be non-existent as two aircraft have been lost to blue-on-blue yesterday a Sukhoi Su-27 & Mil Mi-8).
Anywho due to not having the Tor does it not have gunner NVG's? Which if so is somewhat odd but would be similar to the Q-5L which for some daft reason gets 3rd person NVG's but no 1st person ones.
Hello my friend, there is no night vision and no thermal in the gunner sight of TOR-M1.
Do you feel like Tor-M1's missiles do much more damage that Pantsir-S1's? I don't have the Tor, but from you video, it seems you just need to put the mouse near the target and it is enought to guarantee a kill. When I play the Pantsir, I have to micromanage the missile and make sure it is practically on top of the target to kill it, and even then it often just crits it. Pantsir has slightly more TNT equiv than Tor.
It is not about TNT equivalent only, but also the trigger fuse distance, a missile that explodes 9 meters away from the target will do less damage than a missile explodes 5 meters from the target.
@@Hunter_i86 Nah, it simply does more damage and has a much wider frag pattern. Try the protection analysis on some jet. Hit it with a 95Ya6 and with the 9M331. Specifically, try hitting a tip of the plane so that the missiles' velocity vector points not at the plane (a tangential hit). The 96Ya6's fragments mostly fly forward with some minor damage to the sides, while 9M331's fragments fly everywhere.
This makes it so that you have to practly hit the jet with the 95Ya6. Hell, about 20% - 35% of missiles I fire at stike drones don't kill them, even if they fly straight at me. It is just that the missile wiggles around your cursor and sometimes flies beside the drone when fusing.
@@Ginyat01 Best to aim slightly to the side of helicopters (peppers the pilots up nicely 😋) and same with drones, damages the drone control module and shaves a wing off

I use " on point" mode,and just make adjustments, slightly aim in front of the planes

NICE VIDEO YO HUNTER , It seems to have improved a little, but I tried it on automatic mode before the missile hits the enemy. It does not hit the target accurately. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong.
Thanks a lot brother, after they gave it 42G overload the missile response became very brutal, just keep it on AUTO, fire and keep the sight on target, no need to manually adjust or aim lead, the easiest SPAA to play, really.

Against panshir i have 50% for survive by doing just barrel. When am against tor-m1 i know its one way, wher a can only get revange kill with mavericks. PLS add F16 with targetting pod.

Hello, TOR is the 2nd in line after Pantsir in my opinion, the missile of TOR is visible which is a negative point but it didn't get affected by the newly added missiles dynamics, and it got a buff too .. 42G overload, TOR is not the best SPAA but it is definitely the easiest to play.
So can the TOR track multiple targets or just the active one?

It can, the two targets should be inside a cone of 60 degrees .. in the same field of view I mean, good example for that .. two strike drones.
I would really like to see Pantsir in connection with the processing of anti-aircraft guided missiles. I was very impressed by your video about Tor-M1 and really wanted to play this anti-aircraft gun, but I am a USSR main. I've reached Pantsir and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading. Can his rocket produce normal overload?
Pantsir S1 is the best SPAA in the entire game. Of course it is worth unlocking my friend, the missile has 20km range, 32G overload and 1300m\s speed, and the lock doesn't trigger enemy RWRs.
@@Hunter_i86 My friend, I played it on a test drive and compared it with the Tunguska, I really don’t like the mechanics in which anti-aircraft missiles become very clumsy at relatively long distances. In the test run, I didn’t like the or because its rocket was very poorly controlled at a distance of 10 km/20 km. Is this true in real combat and how useful is the trajectory straightening mode?

@@snowdropfox5754 Wrong (just re-tested it in a custom battle). Its 25m for the missile minus Trigger-Radius of the AA missile. So if you are at 16m the pantsir with 9m radius will still get you quite easy if its missile is guided at a altitude of 25m above you.
25m minus Trigger-Radius of AA ~ savezone (we got hits on a Mi-28NM at 13m from a Pantsir on the extreme end - Map = Sands of Sinai)
-> so you should definitely stay as low as possible >20m is far too dangerous.

Ща бы взять дозвуковой а-10 и ныть что тебя сбивает ЗРК, рассчитанный на сбитие самолёта летящего на сверхзвуке с высоченной угловой скоростью, стоящий на 1,3 бр выше.
Да те же су-22, летающие как угарелые, даже не пытались улететь назад, облететь карту вдоль земли и набрать легчайшие 18км далеко за спиной тора. Это занимает не больше времени чем доехать на танке от респа до боя, а ЗРК всегда стоят в районе своего респавна. Уверен, когда дадут ПРР, они будут просто выкидывать их пачкой сразу после спавна и ждать, как было в АРБ когда дали фениксы. Кто однокнопочный уже не так очевидно

It would be something if they decide to add the more modern TOR-M2(I think) for Russia at some point. It has more longer range and also 16 missiles instead of 8. And missiles possibly with thrust vectoring engine, so even better performance

Hey hunter, You should Alt+L for manual aim( it follows your aimpioint). If you use like that, the missile randomly aim between auto aim(automatically lead) or manual aim.

How do u counter SPAA nowadays? assuming ur spotted and need to dodge a missle.
Flying low means its hard to spot tanks and doesnt give u enough tracking/locking time.
if it's not a pansir you should be alright most of the time
Most of the time I see people like hunter let the munitions glide extreme distances, often being out of range of the spaa entirely
@@kanash8851 You cant outrange a pantsir, your only hope is to locate it, then make a pass and drop your munitions before it has a chance to react. Oh and then hope your mavericks dont blow up mid air for no reason or get countered. lol
@@britishbeef4890gbu 8 in f16 can be dropped even before rendering distance, but it's kinda bugged, I'm struggling a lot with tanks rendering at 18km range and it's killing me
spot enemy spawn points( becuz spaas dont move their arse most time), look for smoke trail or red dot if you see one, start do evasive manuevers meanwhile bait the spaa for spotting it and then send him couple mavs

I've just been getting into AA and I love it but do you know the difference between the highlighted area on the radar that shows where you're looking at and then the rest of the circle? As it still picks up targets outside of the area i'm looking at so do you know what it does? Is it the area you can lock onto a target or if the target flies out of that highlighted green then you lose lock? I'm still trying to learn about it so if anyone could answer that'd be amazing :D
SPAA "usually" have two radars, the higher one that rotates fast is the search radar and the one in the frontal part of turret is the track radar, the highlighted area is what the track radar is looking at and the whole radar circle is covered by the search radar.

@@Hunter_i86 I change the targeting modes but they don’t seem to do anything even while the target is locked with the Pantsir (this is just in test drive btw) it always seems to be following my cursor
@@oak9065Are you talking about the whole shoot two targets? Well you have two targets in the cone (one bold square one dashed square) then you shoot one and press "switch radar targets/aiming" or w/e i forgot what its called.

Gaijin specifically said they added the pantsir instead of the M2, because they believe the M2 would be too strong for the game at the moment
I feel like since this thing is in the game maybe the USA should get a Pac 2 missile system with nerfed range like 13 mile range almost like the UAV you can deploy the radar station where you want but it takes 3 min to do that and 5 mins to take it back down only comes with 6 missiles I feel like this would be really cool so it makes the playing field more better since the SA-15 is the best G2A missile system in warthunder I feel like Nato needs a equal because Nato SPAA in the game now just SUCK

NATO didn't focus highly on SPAAGs like Soviets and China did, which began to show it's problem in WT

@@b-17gflyingfortress6 It's only a "problem" because War Thunder doesn't model multi vehicle AA systems because it's more difficult to do... NATO still has highly capable AA systems.

GAH I hate that they probably won't add the Tor to the USSR tree for a while. It's the first proper SAM in the game, one that actually behaves like SARH missiles (sort of) should and its a travesty that gaijin for some reason only adds it to one of the least played nations, id love more opportunities to fight with and against these systems
They could have added it in place of the pantsir, but after it the least the entirety of player base needs is another russian anti air.
