That back pocket is for like access to bus passes, passports, a wallet, even a small paperback book. I had my book and wallet on that side and did not experience issues or poking. It’s not completely useless. I do agree about the front dumpnpocket but maybe it can be used to stuff a rain jacket or thin sweater. I think that the 180 zip allows the wearer to open the pack from eaither side depending on what shoulder is being used. For quick access on the move.
Great video. I watched Allpa 42L. I was thinking of pairing these two for a 10 day trip to Europe. Need to get a iPad Pro on the “personal item bag” to under the seat on the plane. Need to get the allpa 42L in the overhead. Is these the best set up? Or is the northface option you linked better?
The Chasqui will look better :) One thing to consider is the Aer Day Sling Max 3 as your city sling walking around Europe. I’d personally look for a sling that is really comfortable to wear across your chest so that you can wear both bags easily getting around.
Roger that….thanks for the reply. I could always keep the iPad in the allpa. I only need the iPad for on the plane for the 10 hour flight. Other then that it will sit in the hotel safe. Thanks again
I was just scrolling through your videos and found this one. I have that exact bag in that exact color and I love it! It’s my church bag, I use the main compartment’s laptop/tablet sleeve for my bible and I sitck my Bellroy pencil case in the front pocket with my billfold and phone. The small zipper pocket I use for a multi-tool, eyeglass cleaner, and some mints. Sometimes I even toss in my iPad and magic keyboard. This really does hold a lot. Also, Cotopaxi is one of my favorite companies. They are just so unique.
What you think about this one vs the north face base camp voyager sling? I’m trying to decide between this two slings want it for travel, carry my laptop (14.5”) carry a camera a rain jacket e.t.c
I'm trying to figure out the physics of this one. I always wear my bags with the strap over my right shoulder, and spin up from my left-side waist to get to the hidden back pocket where I always keep my IDs and boarding passes and stuff like that. So if I do that, I would be able to access the back pocket, right? Like if I'm wearing the bag, the back pocket will be on my left side?
Yes - if you are swinging it back around under your left arm from the back, with the strap hanging over your right shoulder, the small stash pocket on back will be facing up.
hey, I am trying to see if I could fit my 15" laptop in there, the laptop pocket is probably too small but thinking it could maybe fit in the main shell space. could someone give me inside measurement, please? my laptop size => W: 359.1 mm (14.14 in.) , depth: 236.25 mm (9.30 in.) height: 14.99 mm (0.59 in.) . thanks.
I'm so sorry that I don't have this bag anymore to measure for you. I don't want to guess - but I hope another viewer could answer your question for you!
Not sold? Check this one out. ua-cam.com/video/qXwmzWJF3Q0/v-deo.html

Take the zippers to the top than when u swing it to the front you open just a little bit n reach in You do not have to take it fully off.

If you’re rocking an 11” iPad Pro…tough to find a sling that rides well on your chest for a 12.9” ipad

That would a great combo. Especially with the 42 being carried at a messenger and chasqui on your back after getting off the plane
And if you left-shoulder carry it, that back pocket will be upside down when you swing it to the front 🤸🏻
Great review! Thanks for going over the bag!
You are most very welcome. Thanks so much for watching!

Between the two I prefer the Cotopaxi solely because of how it rides on your back.
It's pronounced "chaski" it's Quechua for "messenger"
Thank you!
That bag looks awesome
It is! Great bag and well worth the money.
@@ThePerfectBag I might have to pick that one up

@@ThePerfectBag Perfect! I think this might actually work for me. Most of the stuff I carry tends to be soft or flat, so I think I'm good.
Great! It is an excellent bag! The quality is top notch and it’s light!

@@ThePerfectBag it does fit!! i ordered one to try. it even fits in the laptop sleeve. so that bag can carry a 15" laptop.
Will this fit an iPad Pro 12.9 inch?
Absolutely, no prob
how waterproof are the materials / zippers?
I should have called that out - the zippers are NOT waterproof. The bag itself doesn't look too waterproof either. Not a wet weather bag.
@@ThePerfectBag thx for the info :)
What surface model is that?
Surface laptop 4
