Why not show how it wears? Apart from aesthetics it would give people an idea on how accessible it is when worn.
I’ve had mine for about a year now. I don’t use it daily (WFH) but bring it out a couple of times a week, especially on the weekends. When I take the family to the mall or amusement park, I can fit all our essentials in here, including 4 water bottles and snacks. Mine is “good as new” - I do have the black color so it probably is great at hiding any blemishes but the materials is really top notch. The one thing which still bothers me is the right shoulder carry, but you get used to it eventually.
I've been using this bag as my "go bag" for work for about a week. It's awesome. I love the look (ordered the same color combo as shown in the review), and the size, available space, and ease of access is exactly what I was looking for. I do wish there was a left v right shoulder option, but it's not a deal breaker.
Bottom line: this bag is righteous.

Ordered two after this review, the TNF black and the Green. Not sure which one I like better but keep putting out quality videos like this man! I got it before the price hike of an additional $20.

i have one of these, i had to get the strap lengthened (strap cut out and sewed in a new one) for it to feel more comfortable when wearing it.. it holds my ipad12.9 plus other bits, very happy with it for travel on planes and just getting around with stuff..
Was it hard to get the strap lengthened? Just take it to a tailor?

what a dope bag, i just got the voyager duffel 32L. This would be a nice companion.
I got one… lol smaller then I though but it’s all good. My steam deck barely fits in it. Especially with the case. Love it though feels so nice.
So glad I bought it for only 36,-€ instead of the Borrealis sling bag, which was my second choice.
Found the strap on Amazon and the tailor said it was an easy job to do as it only needed two bits to be sewed together
I really wish they had a second "molle" webbing strip on the front, but may be I can get someone to sew one on for me. That way, you could add real molle accessories like a water bottle holder.

Just picked this up for 20% off at moosejaw. This bag is perfect. I’m wishing it was a bit bigger, but that’s me wanting to be able to carry a second laptop on top of the computer and tablet and other gear I have stuffed in there already. So I can’t really complain. Front strap pocket fits my iPhone max, wallet and headphones (it’s packed in there but it fits). Perfect blend of sleek form factor while maximizing utility. The only thing missing here is that aquagaurd on the zippers that you mentioned

Probably the tomtoc as it feels a little less floppy and I like the vertical orientation.

This one is pretty big and can go on either shoulder.

The bag looks optimal for flatter/small items. Do you think the main compartment fit a 24oz water bottle?
Yes. There’s tons of room in there. Although certainly there is always a risk and carrying a water bottle with other items.
You could always get a molle water bottle holder to attach to the front or one of those flat memo water bottles.

If you had a choice between this sling and the Aer Travel Sling 2 (for EDC/airplane under seat bag), which would you choose? Especially if you are bringing a large 12.9 inch tablet?

Yes - you certainly could….but it is a little large/bulky for that compared to most chest bags.
I can’t find a north face alt commenter sling bag anywhere on the second market. New or used.

Trying to decide between the base Camp voyager Sling and the Metromonger…
I am unsure because metromonger can hold a capacity of 9 Liters versus the Base Camp voyager Slings 11 Liters. Is it a noticeable difference? I have a Kid and usually carry a Backpack with Snacks, water Bottles for 2, some Kleenex, altoids Tin, Osmo Pocket Camera, charging cables, Power Bank etc. But dont Need a diaper Bag anymore, but a little leftover Space would not be wrong for everyday things.
Does the Metromonger have a more efficient use of the inside Space?

It's big enough for some gym clothes for sure. It's a very large sling.

You can! I meant that it’s built for a particular shoulder and you can’t wear it on the other - but you can swing it to your front for sure

Where did you get the green, followed the link but no green colour option.
I have no idea why they stopped selling the green. It looks like the blue and yellow is the next coolest color way, but I really have no idea why they stopped the green.

I think it caps out at 13” unless maybe it’s a an xps15 from dell
I would say likely not. I can fit my Asus Zephyrus G14 and it is almost where the zipper would have to be forced around the corners of the laptop. I just barely get away with it. Dimensions of my laptop: 12.28" x 8.94"
Can you fit a 13,6 inch Macbook in it comfortably?

Does this sling have long enough shoulder strap for a 90kg / 180cm male?
Judging from your video, the shoulder strap is way to shortl - when you put the sling on the back, the strap jumps right under your armpit and I'd say it's very unconfortable!
And majority of the pictures you can google about it show mainly females use this sling...
Not to mention, when I bought The North face Borealis 6L Sling it was so damn small - to small even for my wife and it ended up as a sling for my 8 years old song!
So now I'm in doubt about this Base Camp Voyager as well...
P.S. It's not a claim, just a question....
Cause I've faced the same issue with too short shoulder strap with Thule Tact 8L sling as well...
At the same time, Patagonia Atom 8L Sling has NO problem and could fit even the really big guy
I reviewed the borealis, and I totally agree. That sling is comically small. I didn’t find that THIS sling was too small or too uncomfortable. If you hit me up on Instagram, I’ll send you some pictures of how the sling rides on me when I’m wearing it. @bitofawander

Is this good on water proofing?
I don’t think I would pick this up for its waterproof qualities. The material will be OK, but I think the zippers would be a failure point for a heavy rain.

That looks nothing like a sling bag. More like a full-size backpack. Not even a water bottle carrier and why would you need a laptop on a sling bag? Absolute trash.
