Nice job JOZY I get a reviewer who trys the biggest hill in LA that breaks a record climbing it.(Matt w/TAIL HAPPY),then I get a speed demon who trys to burn-up the motor, (ALEX w/MAXIMUM CHARGE), then I get a reviewer running the bike for over six hours, goes 120 plus miles in 113° heat (Nick w/ ECELLS and now I got JOZY trying to break my frame in half jumping, lol. I'm so impressed with this bike. It's Bullet proof and all declared it KING!
My 2024 Freedom was ordered in APR & was due to ship at end May, then postponed for the bonuses till end June. When it showed up the UPS man asked me to help get off truck its so heavy. The top of the box was ripped off from middle to 1 end with many holes along sides. It looked like a bear attacked it. When I opened it up I immediately saw many scratches in paint. I was bout to put together when I noticed no tool for handlebars or manual to put this together. So I went on their chat help & in the end it came missing manuals, tool,2nd battery charger, touch up paint, headlight, & PEDALS... so they send me the accessory box which took 4 days (mind you I took my vaca from work for the day of the delivery) & its missing the touch up paint. From this point on the Wired customer service chat was unhelpful & rude. I asked them how the batteries work is it frame batt till drained then rear kicks in? & they said it was a 'blendid' function that draws off both... So I told them that i purposely drained my batt to 60% on display & when went to charge both only the rear was at 60% while frame batt was 100%, so its not blending.... I like to pedal so I turn the motor options off (set to 0) & quickly found out that gears 1-6 make the chain skip on every rotation... They told me to take it to a bike shop for a derailer adjustment or watch a youtube vid on how do it myself...2400.00+shipping & this is the product I got & customer service to go with it FUCK WIRED
Great Video..... the 5-star looks to handle the rough terrain, allot better than I thought it would! I have to wonder how some of the competitions bikes would do....... I am guessing we may never know, as some of them can't handle the pavement very well without wobbling or much worse. Thank you Jozy and Koda (or Kona).
You have the 5 star on a dirt track taking jumps while on the Wired FB page owners are saying the Freedom is a pavement only bike to justify the flimsy frame. Haha
Really dangerous to do that on a heavy bike without a thru axle. After your brakes, a thru axle is probably your most important safety feature. You should definitely upgrade to a thru axle if you intend to ride like that.
I just got a dual star which I plan to single track this fall. I am nervous about when that sketchy Horst (4bar) rear suspension detonates on me. It is probably going to hurt.
@@Trailtested I ride my Talaria with a group of crazy off-road, dirt trail guys in southern CA all the time. We even do midnight rides. Join us sometime if you're ever in town and so inclined. 🙂
I do like thumb throttles on Ebikes, but the problem is once you start jumping them they are easy to push in and break unless they are built like a four wheelers (heavy duty) they will break during extreme use
Nice job JOZY

Thumb Throttle would be a whole lot better so you could hold on better
