Some of the worst reasoning I’ve ever heard for having a bag limit on an animal the government pays $6 per tail to eradicate them. Can’t believe I was hearing what I was hearing
@@Texasmade1976 Look what South US of A voted into the white house, & any idea of reason goes out the door. Watching turkeys trying to shoot them, having fun wounding and making them wary makes it easy to understand why the Nutria are a problem too. Might be a reason why in some countries they breed animals for trophy antlers & fence them into paddocks so they can't go anywhere. Then waddle fat Yanks out there for serious money and tell them what intrepid hunters they are. & they believe it. As long as they pay, I guess. When they start interfering with invasive pest management (like texas safarui club) it become clear where the term "Texan brain shot" came from. Hint, it's not the head end. Getting some effective hunters into the nutria problem might be an idea. Like their pigs, unlikely.
What a entertaining video with you falling off the boat and laughing among friends that's alright Vinnie you did a awesome job cooking that nutra rat and pasta looked delicious I know it was one day I might try it can't wait to see your next adventure above all I enjoyed it all 🔥🔥👍🏽💯✔️
Hurricanes in 1934 and 1938 hit fur farms on the coast and destroyed the pens that Nutria were farmed in. I think the first released by storm were near Pecan Island. A friend of mine had a pet nutria we called "Bugger" because of the sounds it made. Never ate one but I am up for it. Seen them used as feed at alligator farm.
@ I think the new thing is the city hired a trapper for the coyotes that are eating peoples pets . Did you see all the hogs running around on the lakefront in Metairie?!
I live on Puget Island in the lower Columbia river in Washington state and Hunt them with a Pcp air rifle. the diking district pays $10 per tail here. the big difference is that I have to walk the canals that are used to drain the Island.
Vinny great video brother . I one day will try a nutria . I gotta take a trip down there it seems like a great place to have a heck of a goodtime .keep the videos coming .
I've heard those are edible, but I don't think I would want to try it. Where I live, people can get crop deprivation permits for deer and geese. But the geese you have to either clean and donate to somewhere, or you have to bury them. I don't know why you can't eat them yourself, but that's the rule. Interesting video, thank you.
They do that so you don't just try to get the permit so you can harvest the animal you wouldn't other wise be able to legally harvest. Unfortunately their are a lot of dishonest greedy people out there that make some of these dumb laws necessary.
Well since I’m a transplant to Louisiana since 1991 when moved here with my job from Chicago. I’ve never seen a nutri hunt until this video and I love me pasta, now I gotta find someone who hunts them and get me some. I’m in Central Louisiana in Alexandria area so if you hunt these varmints let me know.
Dang Vinnie falling in the water cuz?only you bud only you l.o.l but I love ya me I would pissed off to no end hating everyone and everything for a little while at least. But not you coz you laugh it off and make jokes about it and make the best of it.thats why I love you so much you make life wether good or bad fun and I love that about you Vinnie I really do your a positive person and you always help to put me in a great mood and make me laugh.I thank you so much for that coz. Thank you Vinnie so much for keeping it real wholesome and good and fun for me and most all of your viewers.forever a fan of yours Edward. Ps.by the way😂😂😂😂😂😂 it was funny as all get out you falling in the water but im glad you were okay and not hurt orator bit.
Man, Im local and was wondering if I get yalls written permission to hunt the nutria and hogs out there. I've been looking for a little spot for years and I'm sure yall could use the help. I'd be glad to help. If not, that's ok, I understand. Never know if you don't ask, right? 🙏🏽✌️
I know they use some for felt to make hats and stuff. The problem is the amount of work for the money just isn't worth it for most. The Meat really is good but people don't want to try it because it looks like a rat.
Well yeah what do you think they're feeding all the new people that are flooding into the country whatever they can get their hands on is my guess and that includes nutria probably.
Full of Fun Amaze'N Facts ! ! ! I went down the *P-Boner'R* hole and watched every video over Thanksgiving! ! ! ❤ Great job 😊
WOW, that's a lot of Nutria and Holy Cow that was a lot of cheese, but it did look tasty. Great video, God bless and see you on the next one.
no such thing as too much cheese.
The Tabasco people brought the neutria to Louisiana. They had them in a pen on Avery Island. A hurricane destroyed the cages and the rest is history
I met you at the boat launch in pearl yesterday . This videos is great , keep taking em out 🤙🏼
yeah man. it was good meeting you. I'm sure we'll run in to each other again. Feel free to stop me to say hello.

They are definitely chomping on the canals on esplanade in Kenner/metairie.
The sheriff's office used to ride around sniping them with .22's I don't know if they still do.

Do you have to use steel shot?
Good trick for ya, put the cheese on in 35 minutes and it keeps from getting that weired over cooked cheese texture.
Nice video. Should have offered or written a recipe. Thanks

Man I thought y'all was hunting but look like you wanted to swim 😂😂😂 good shooting and swimming 😅
Syncopated swim and shoot team, right there. 🙂
What kind of traps can you use for nutria down there? Will a wire fish trap work?
foot holds and body grips most commonly
Have you tried to eat it like pulled pork on a sandwich. I have done that with rabbit and squirrel.
I have. It's good.
got em! 12:02
Remember, every time you miss is less reward money you get. :)
😬 truth
I would try it.
Hey man that’s putting everything into stopping dem nutria! 😂😂😂 Glad your ok lol Can those jackets be refilled? Or once it inflates that’s it?
yeah you can reload them.

ID TRY IT ATLEAST ONCE BUT WE DONT HAVE THOSE CRITTERS HERE IN TEXAS .... ATLEAST NOT WHERE I LIVE !!
We do in South Central Texas. Beaver too on the Guadalupe River
It's some good meat

@@billycole852 Oh yeah buddy! They are around.
What size shot do you use?
anywhere from #4 to BBB what ever i can find for cheep or free.
Dang ole shells costin more than the nutrias bringin in. 😅
that ain't no lie
Nutria were not brought here for fur, they were brought for food.
fake news 😉
How many are you allowed each year ?
If you have private land or are on the program it's unlimited.
Great job getting those Varmints 🎉.
I hope the water didn't 🥶you!
JO JO IN VT 💞
wasn't too bad.
Cousin Vinnie! I’ve been hunting hard the last four days. I haven’t been able to ya first comment/like. I still be in the comments tho. 😂
hey man, got to get them hunts in.
@ having to adult today and go to work. lol
With the soaring price of ammo you might want to get a box fed PCP air gun, 🖖
Ill have to look into that.
Alligator bait!
If ya had Asians that live that life, they would wipe them out in no time lol 😂
What happened to your buddies when the work started and to help you eat up that food ?
Some people still make a living hunting these 👌 shame people are making money buy selling hunting days
Taste great
This is my favorite nutria documentary

Then he proceed to shoot over his partners.👀🤦🏻♂️
I still shot to the side of them. lol They wanted me to shoot right over them, I was like that's probably not a good idea.
If you don’t like it the dogs will love it .
I understand there's no fur trade. But there must be some use for nutra fur? Instead of just wasting the animals
I know they use some for felt to make hats and stuff. The problem is the amount of work for the money just isn't worth it for most. The Meat really is good but people don't want to try it because it looks like a rat.
Have you ever made chili out of that meat?
I don't think so but I bet it would be good.
They maynot look good but they taste good, like a rabbit , & they eat nothing but grass.
#truth
Sounds like the people running the program don't want it to be to successful or they may be out of a job.
🤷♂️
You guys are freaking me out with the lack of muzzle control. Camera man was painted continually.
those action camera with that wide angle lens makes it look way worse than it actually is.

Understatement.

Worse shooting i have seen on you tube and that is saying something!
we aim to please
Snakes will take care of them.
What's snake eat neutria we don't have snakes that big in America, stop watching national geographic
@ go for a swim in the Everglades?
🎉🎉
Y’all need a fishing net so you don’t have to bend over to pick them up
I need the exercise. 😉
@ maybe but that’s not about exercise it’s about money and fun. Go for the cash and enjoy the experience. Worry about the exercise later lol 😂
No need to to rabbit hunting if you had such a hard time on those slow rodents. LOL
thats coming. lol
You make sound so easy but it’s not,if you don’t lease or own you are out of luck took me about 6-8 months to get mine license 4 dollars then
there are public lands you can use to apply for the program.
