@@Christmasmoose714 well he said “EVERYBODY” as in everyone, making people happy isn’t a bad thing but unless you see that they need it or just wanna have some fun it’s a waste Bc there’s other stuff you could be doing, like wasting time on UA-cam instead 😂
Extra tip: try and envisualize what you were doing/ thinking/ feeling what was happening when you read that. Try to remember if you were surprised at that information, disgusted or happy. Remember what room you were in and what position you were sitting. Much easier to remember this way.
Yeah i remember like one line i read from months ago bc when i was exactly reading that sentence my pencil fell from the desk and somehow i still remember that one line vividly.
Annotations, taking breaks from studying every 25-30 minutes, making your own notes in class, taking advantage of the Protégé effect, distributing things evenly are all very important things to remember when trying to improve your grades. Having a dedicated study area or desk are also very beneficial, staying hydrated, don’t overwork, and staying calm
When I was a kid I had a problem with remembering what my teacher taught me (and I was a good listener so it wasn’t because of that ) I really liked music so my mom would make up a song about the questions and answers and I was a straight A+ student while most classmates were C-‘s. And still to this day I make up songs and still a straight A+ student and fully respect my mom
The common mistake most students do is that they do re-reading as part of revision. Actual re-VISION means to recall all what you have read in your mind without referring to the book!
I'm in 7th grade and in my ELA classes, our teacher makes us do this. This has helped us a lot, so pls take your time and ask yourself questions after a little reading!
Another tip: try to connect the words to a real life scenario. Like if u have to remember an answer to something, try to connect the question and answer somehow, in a way that you can remember it. Example: if you want to remember that the auricles are the receiving chamber of the heart, think about the word “auricle”. The first part “aur” sounds like “our”, and the word “our” relates to someone saying that something is theirs, and that relates back to “receiving something”. So now if u have this stored in ur brain, during an exam, if u get the same question, you will remember this connection that u made and u will easily remember the answer. Let’s say they ask “what is the distributing chamber of the heart”, you will immediately know that it’s the ventricle, cuz u know that the receiving chamber is auricle, so the only other option left is ventricle:) This is just an example, cuz this is how I remember the answer for my biology test the other day:) try to connect the words with another word, or with something personal in ur life. Good luck!
I aced class discussions without even reading the stuff. All I did was listen to the first two people who would talk, use some of the things they'd say as background information to base my arguments off of and compare them to real world things. I could also argue with someone based on almost nothing. I'd only say two to three detailed things and then make it seem like I was talking a lot by inserting jokes between other people speaking.
I’m so happy people like this are in the world especially the comment section with even more strategies I’m going to high school next year and as a fresh men I need to get adjusted to the new stuff especially because I know how much stress will be put on me
What helps me is to really get yourself into the story and add funny remarks. It makes the experience more enjoyable and lets you focus on the book and it’s meaning in a fun way. Taking a break and really having a deep thought might work for some but for me this is the best way. :))
It's not even about breaks, it's about a clear mind. 1. Dont look at the time, it will make your brain perform unnecessary calculations and disrupt your flow 2. If you're thinking too hard about something, clear your mind and start over. Keep clearing and starting over until you get comfortable
This is also an excellent example of how to be a repeater. Learning has become simply memorization of what you’ve been told, leaving critical thinking skills out in the dust.
I started doing the following tips. I'm really improving in class. I'm being damn honest. Thank you so much ❤️❤️. Guys if you are struggling with studies, I highly recommend you his tips.
Right now i am in highschool what i do to remember is that I read a topic then write down its main points of it in a book. I also make self notes and i have completed 3 notebook in this manner till now.(It's not even the half of the semester yet!) Hope this helps. Edit: Pomodoro technique always helps so much.

Let me give u all some extra tips (I recently discovered these and it helps me a lot) 1. Try and visualise what u are reading. Like for example if ur learning history then try and visualise what it would have been then, what all words the person will be saying and what all things would be implemented, etc 2. try to pictuarize the words like take a photo of the notes thru ur eyes and then paste it in ur mind then read it out aloud. (Technically, thorough revision) 3. Try not to mug up. Understand it, even if it is boring. 4. To help u study a lot faster, keep a timer next to u like u want to learn an answer then keep the timer according to the length of the answer if it’s half a page then keep whatever Time u think u will take to learn that (I take 5 mins so I keep a timer according to that and usually by half an hour I’m done with the question-answers.) but try to keep as less time as possible. 5. Recall the answers time and again to see if u learned it thoroughly. 6. Most importantly, try ur level best not to get distracted. It will result in more time taken and partial answers that u might have learnt. Clear ur mind and sit to study :) That’s all I had. I’m not sure if it might work for u. Ig it depends from person to person. But keep going! Congrats if u read all the way till here 😅 Hope u have a wonderful day!! Happy studying! :)))
I always repeat stuff whenever I read. For example 1-4 lines then add one more and repeat it from the first line to the new line you just added. Not sure if it works in the long run but it helped me alot whenever I only get limited time of studying
i’m extremely lucky in the fact that i can remember plots and certain quotes from the books I read. I believe it’s because I’m a writer, which means I have to remember my own plot points and specific characters and so on. A good way to remember what you’ve read as well is to immerse yourself. If you become interested in what you’re reading, attached to the characters, and invested in the plot, it makes remembering everything a bit easier
my study method is kinda similar!! it has always been explaining it to my mom, and since she doesn’t speak the language that my textbooks are in i have to both translate it and explain it in my own words which has always helped me remember stuff so much better
These r some things which you can follow to study properly I did these and now im already getting really good grades! • get rid of your phone or any other thing that might distract you. • Dont look at the time again and again , you have to focus on your book not time. • Dont try to learn the points exactly how they r written on the book , try to understand what you read and just formulate an answer by yourself! •Take small breaks while studying. •Before studying gather all the things you need so that you don't have to go out of ur room to get things which waste ur time. Hope this helps :)
what worked for me is i don't treat the reading assignments as a responsibility and obligation, i treat it as some sort of entertainment. You learn better when you're having fun!😊

Your momma really thought I would remember all this shit?
This right there! So many students aren't aware of this.
Yup, this is called active recall. Despite how much I and other students don’t like it, it’s the best way to learn stuff
Annotations, taking breaks from studying every 25-30 minutes, making your own notes in class, taking advantage of the Protégé effect, distributing things evenly are all very important things to remember when trying to improve your grades.
