Taehyun in opening sequence was just a whole another level beast. He owned the song
i genuinely think txt is way too slept on as a group dance-wise 🙃 they're all stylistically distinct, rarely any major issues with coordination and cleanliness, and they don't struggle TOO much with excess tension. they have a unique strength among boy groups that their dancing does not carry the typical tense and overwhelming kind of quality that can be especially tiring in this current dance scene.
Taehyun's skills as a dancer are often underrated in comparison to his vocal ability. I knew he was much better than a lot of people were making him out to be. I personally think that he is the 2nd best dancer in TXT overall, and opening sequence is such an amazing showcase of his skills.
On this note, why do so many K-pop stans like underestimating the dancing skill of main vocalists of the group? Jihyo, Wendy, NingNing, Haewon and now Taehyun come to mind. One person can shine in more than one aspect.
mainly because their vocals are so strong and stable that their dancing gets overlooked
people consider taehyun an "overdancer". he was definitely messy before but his coordination and control has since improved by a lot. he has the best sense of groove in the group after yeonjun and his locks are also the strongest.
he did well here however i will say beomgyu (despite me wanting more full out arm lines) properly got the contemp "feel" with his extensions starting from his back to the fingertips.
it could just be me, but i think there are way less dance analyses of TXT compared to other groups. yet when i do find a video analyzing them, it just further convinces me that TXT is one of the best kpop groups at dancing _ever,_ and Yeonjun in particular is one of the best in his generation. man, i wish more people appreciate their dancing and performing and i mean _truly_ appreciate them. thank you for the video!

Firstly, holy shit a 9.6 for yeonjun? That's insane... But deserved, he really did this choreo justice and defends his #1 place(to no one's surprise.). Now for the #2 place... Is it normal that i enjoy seeing beomgyu and taehyun switch places all the time? Honestly, it's such a delight to see how far taehyun has gone in terms of his dancing. I remember he used to place 4th most of the time but now he's very close to beomgyu's level. Now, i know that some would argue that taehyun is already the second best dancer in the group but in my non-dancer opinion beomgyu is a little bit more relaxed while dancing and i feel like he's able to feel the music more. I'm very open to hearing arguments tho(please do i love hearing about those two's dancing) and i definitely think that even if he is not on the same level, taehyun is gonna catch up to beomgyu in no time.
Also, i'm not sure if anyone told you but technically txt does not have a dance line! They were, if i remember correctly, the first group to debut with "no positions". The only officially confirmed position is soobin as the leader but over the years it got kinda obvious that yeonjun was the main rapper and main dancer while huening and taehyun got called main vocalists. Other than that, it's all free reign tbh
no, no one told me they had no positions. Everyone seemed to agree Yeonjun and Beomgyu were the dancers in the group.
Well, I would love to argue with you, but I don't have enough knowledge about them to give solid points XD But one thing I've learned/seen, is that underdogs/underappreciated ppl always earn their way to the top :)

not a moa but i don't think txt has an official dance line, the only official positions i think are leader and maknae

@@psychoriousi'd love to start passionately ranting in comment sections the way i used to again, but alas - school is kicking my ass lol. no really, like i used to end up spontaneously writing essays about TXT. i'd try complimenting some little thing and suddenly it'd spiral into a six-paragraph post. but i haven't got the time lately ugh. watching your analysis really satisfied my 'TXT deserves praise' urge though, so thanks again for the video!!

@@psychorious it's mainly because no one acknowledged his improvement. he was very messy before and lacked proper control. i wouldn't say musicality is an issue though like OP (if anything he has good musicality)
