IMHO Most repeater activity is on the RU0 to RU15, 433.00 to 433.375, 1.6Mhz split repeaters, because they are 25k channel spacing with 5KHz dev, In the 1980's ARRL with FCC, and Motorola doing the field tests. showed less than 5k dev is unpleasant to listen to long term. Thats why they chose 20KHz spacing with 5KHz Dev for 2M. (and 20k spacing with 4k dev for LMR) IMHO UK and Europe region 2 should abandon the commercial 12.5k 2.5k dev standard for amateur radio and adopt region 1 standard of 20K spacing with 5K dev, which would also mean getting rid of meaningless channel numbers. eg 145.500 (SV40) 145.5125 SV41. would become .50 and the next would be .52, etc

Typical, there's never anyone on the radio when you want them, try AL between 7 and 8 in the morning week days there's often someone about then Jez.
