Omg... you managed to get out in time... it went from ankle deep to 2 metres in such a short space of time, with massive waves when the slash/timber blockages suddenly shifted... Devastating, but thank you for the visuals.... I walk the Rivers most weekends, so absolutely gutted.

@@Adogsmate4267 crazy damage ,,,I live above the Hauraki plains and over the past 40 years I have seen the swamp claimed for farm land....and it always seems to surprise the farmers when their farms go under water every 5 years or so...just because you smashed down the t tree and grew grass on it ,doesn't stop it from being a swamp....must be devastating...take care...
