If we're talking about cheap, then NVIDIA has some good offers. If you want just purely FPS, then give the GTX 10 or GTX 16 generation a try, still cheaper than some AMD GPUs and delivers same performance. And if we're talking about other things, like RT or DLSS, then the entry level RTX 3050/3060/4050/4060 can still work. They are all great in my opinion. (The 4060 is still viable given it's low CPU load, low profile, low TDP and other features.)

I made a mistake lol Originally was buying a 3070ti and i9-10850K, but the person I was buying from took 4 months to get it sorted, and so free upgrade to the Ryzen 5800X3D and 3090 And it came with a 1080p monitor.... 😩
Actually upon double checking I realized they released both a 10gb and 12gb model of the 3080, so with that in mind, if you can find the 3080 12gb model for cheaper than a 4070 than I’d go for that. Otherwise I’d go for the 4070 still just because it’s slightly newer and will be supported with driver updates a bit longer.

@@nammco1286I do believe the 4070 has like 200W TDP, while the 3080 has a higher wattage TDP. Both perform pretty much equally, except in 4K. The 3080 ever so slightly beats the 4070 in 4K, but barely.

I play 4K with 3080 no issues, it depends on the game’s consumption of VRAM if it’s optimized well or bad. Only titles I wouldn’t be able to play 4K is probably Alan Wake, Hellblade 2, Avatar and some other new titles. For my type of games it runs 4K no problems.
4k nah even 1440p is oversaying most new games uses more than 11gb vram in native and lets not talk about 4k an rx6800 xt is better 16gb vram and a chip strong enough for any game . the real super man of gpus wojld either be the rx 6800xt or rtx 3090 (with dlss 3.5 it can play up to 8k 60 fps medieum rt)

I am considering a 3080 and 4070 for 3d modeling,texturing, render. which one should I go for?
They are fairly comparable, however the 4070 has 2 additional gigs of vram which should allow it to hold up a little longer to time.
