Aww...SO much love and concern -- you guys really are lovely.💕 I'm fine now, but a few hours post-filming I was a mess. Roiling stomach pains with waves of burning, frequently trips to the loo, and a general state of misery. Luckily it only lasted a few hours and by the next day I was back to normal. Once again I DO NOT recommend trying this curry particularly on an empty stomach. 😫

Maybe it was from all the milk, and the burning was the peppers joining in on the fun? You've eaten super spicy ramen before without milk and no issues later, right? I can't digest fruit or nuts without horrible cramps, gas and watery...... Even a handful of grapes hate me. 😟
i've said this once but i'll say it again: emmy might be my favorite person to watch when it comes to taste testing because she's just so honest and doesn't over exaggerate flavors. like, i know that this was probably really hoy and painful but like?? other youtubers would have been running around screaming and like jumping into refridgeraters or something and in my opinion this is much better (if not more fun) to watch

Yes this!! I have another reason that might sound kinda strange, which is she doesn't chew so loud!!! I've seen so many people try different foods and they always chew with their mouth open or smack their lips every 5 mins, So with watching Emmy I get to watch her amazing personality and see her try many interesting foods, without having to be grossed out!! I'm probably the only one that runs into that problem, so it's kind of strange haha

Actually, in this case, a click bait title would have been completely appropriate. The only way you could have exaggerated is if it was something like "Emmy eats hot noodles, dies".
To those complaining about the teeth scraping: when eating something spicy, every part of the mouth the food comes in contact with will start to feel the burn for example oh wait THE LIPS. I'm sure everyone who has eaten spicy food can tell you that the lips burn like hell.
Sam Saad it bothers me a bit cause in my house if you scrape your teeth on silverware you don't get silverware but when I eat spicy food I definitely scrape lol

Imo if you need to scrape your teeth to eat something its a good indicator that theres too much spice for you and its a waste of pepper.

Definitely not a fetish. In Korean culture eating with a family or with someone is customary. I like watching Emmy eat and other people I've noticed, usually when I watch someone cook on youtube I focus more on them tasting the food they made rather the actually process but It's not arousing at all to me.
I'm a pretty new subscriber to your channel but so far I love it! I suffer with anxiety and panic attacks and I know when I start feeling panicky all I have to do is watch your videos and it really calms me down. So thankyou!! Just watching you eat that made me* crave for some spicy mole with rice, I know that is Mexican food, but the color and the texture of that curry resembles mole de rojo.

this was hilarious to watch haha. btw just letting you know, milk isn't good for the bones. it's a common myth because milk (and animal products in general) is acid forming and in order to neutralize it (cause your body likes to be alkaline), your body uses calcium from your bones, which causes u to loose more calcium than gain (:

I do my eyeliner like hers and I use the tarte one that comes with a brush, but for a cheaper probably Maybelline also makes a great gel one it also comes with a brush
+C Perez I used to wear it to sports practice in the rain and it wouldn't budge I should probably have started with that
hahaha. I used to use K-Palette's 24-hour Tattoo but recently switched to Kat Von D's liner. The brush tip is similar to the 24-hour liner and it doesn't smudge -- yay!

Another thing to help the burn is a bite of buttered bread. Eat some before you start to coat the throat.

the Capsicum in chillies is lipophilic chemical meaning it will only dissolve in a fatty solution so drinking water or beer will just spread it around your mouth that's why people drink milk or other dairy drinks when eating spicy food.......so that dollop of sour cream not only adds creaminess and tang to your tacos but also helps with the burn.

One - I was told by a man from India that bread & a butter with a spicy meal helps. I use that & milk.
Two - what I've learned over the past months of watching is that Emmy will do almost anything on a dare.

I like hot and spicy food, I love Indian food but I will never see the point in eating anything _that_ hot - beyond a certain point you're not even _tasting_ anything because of the heat, so it sort of defeats the purpose.

She is only capable of reading Hiragana, Katakana & a little bit of Kanji.

I'm in love with curry. What I love even more than that is spicy curry. However, I don't think I could ever deal with spice as hot as I imagine that one is. :-O
The thing is that there are so many variations of curry throughout Asia that one type of curry can taste completely different from another. Middle Eastern/Western Asia curry tends to be much more spice oriented and usually use lamb and as you go further east, the ingredients tends to change to cater to the culture/country's palette such as substituting chicken or not having it as spicy or just leaving out certain ingredients altogether. So it might be worth trying out different countries' curry rather than use a blanket statement that you dislike curry, period - that is unless you have tried all of it.
