    I think all utvs that are going to be on the road anywhere should be equipped with blinkers and a windshield for safety purposes! They strip them down and gouge you for every little thing you have to add on for your own protection at least that's what Polaris does

    • @NewcomerGarage
      @NewcomerGarage  Рік тому

      In fairness though, these machines really aren't marketed for on road use. I do agree though that if using them on roads in areas that allow them, turn signals should be required.

      I really prefer the look without all the goofy stickers. The main reason for removing them though was to install a full vinyl wrap. Check out the channel for that video!

      Thanks Todd, The Amber lights work pretty well for this application. My only concern with them being mounted where I mounted them would be with aftermarket bumpers... I personally don't have any plans of adding a bumper to the front of my machine, but I will say, if you do, to check before mounting them where I did to make sure that a bumper wont block them

    Good video! You should start an amazon associate account and post links to the products you use. You can earn income from that. Post them in the description of the video.

    Hey man, I have a 2023 and bought the necessary items. Mine isnt working correctly. Heres what its doing.. OK, left side of utvs front blinker light flashes really fast as I told you last year. The rear one is very very faint and flashes fast also with it started or off. The right side front works normally when started, but when I hit the brake it flashes fast and shitty like the left side. When key on engine off it flashes fast, the rear is bright. Any ideas? Thanks

    • @NewcomerGarage

      Not sure on that. Did you follow my step by step video or this short one? I know that the '22 and up units use a different flasher and switch than the '21 and older units. Make sure you ha e the correct ones. If you used a trailer wiring g module like I did, make sure it is compatible with LED lights or you'll end up with a bunch of goofy stuff like what you're describing.

    • @RealK2024
      @RealK2024 5 місяців тому

      @NewcomerGarage yes, I used the Hopkins 48895, flasher FLASHER, CFMOTO OEM - 5HYV-161000-1G01. I got a schematic from someone that did it also. I did however use different lights than you guys did. I used CoCsmart-002 from Amazon

    • @NewcomerGarage
      @NewcomerGarage  5 місяців тому

      @BusterWalls Not sure what's going on. I would start with disconnecting the Hopkins module and seeing if the front lights then start working properly. If they are still wonky, disconnect the front lights and see if the dash indicators flash properly. Basically keep chasing the problem back to the start. I haven't used the lights that you have, but it's possible there is a feedback issue with them since they are "dual element" lights. I've also had bad trailer light modules. Most issues that I've heard of from people that have done it with the same components as I used and followed my other video have been "installer error" and missing steps not isolating the wiring on the trailer module properly. Seeing as how you used a schematic from someone else, I can't be for certain where the issue is.

    awesome video! I already did your fuse box install.. I got the front signals done also. Now I was just wondering why on the rear you could not just use the brake light wire that already ran to the lights? that way would not have to open up the harness. it looks like you cut brake wire twice. Oh this is because the break wire runs to both lights instead of each separate.. I should not even post this comment.. but still will! thank you for the videos big! big! help!

    • @NewcomerGarage
      @NewcomerGarage  Рік тому

      Glad the video helped! Lol, yeah, you kind of answered your own question there on the brake wire deal. Basically that trailer wiring adapter is controlling the brake light signal out to both lights individually so that when it sees the pulsed signal coming into it it knows to flash that side regardless of the brake input signal. From the factory, the UFORCE has one brake light wire out that "T's" off to either side. Making the two cuts isolated the left and right lights from each other.

    Thanks for sharing this video! I wanted to ask if you installed an illuminated license plate holder for that UForce 1000. After speaking to Nick at CFMotoParts USA operated by Curren RV, I ordered part # 9AWA-161400 which is for a ZForce, but will give as close to a factory look as possible, so I am told.

    • @NewcomerGarage
      @NewcomerGarage  2 роки тому +1

      I didn't add a license plate light to my machine since we can't get plates on ours in my area... I looked on the Curren RV/ CFMOTO parts website, I come up with this as the proper part for the UForce 1000.- cfmotousaparts.com/product/licence-light-cfmoto-oem-9020-160410-20000-nla/ That's not to say that the one they recommended wont work though... They may have suggested the Z950 part as it looks like the one in the link I posted is currently out of stock.

    What size wire would you say should be used. Looks like maybe 16 gauge. I’m about to tackle this and I’m not an electrician. So any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Also, while doing the converter on the back you said to run wires from the plug side back over to where you cut coming from the “truck”. So you literally spliced from plug and backtracked those or did I hear something wrong?

    • @richardf3294
      @richardf3294 Рік тому

      Also, how much of the wire did you end up using? Ideally, not exact. That’s not that important. Just don’t want to go buy 50’ rolls and only need like 4’ of each at most. Thanks again.

    • @NewcomerGarage
      @NewcomerGarage  Рік тому +1

      16AWG should be sufficient. You really don't need a lot of wire, MAYBE 20' total, but different colors would be preferred to avoid confusion.

    You have that heater do you like it ???

    • @NewcomerGarage
      @NewcomerGarage  Рік тому +1

      It seems to work well, but I haven't really needed to use it much honestly. I typically get enough heat off the motor to stay comfortable, but the heater is nice to keep the windshield from fogging or icing up. The biggest issue I have are all of the holes in the front "firewall" that let all of the cold air in if you're running down the road. I'm still trying to figure out a way to seal that area up.

    when you wired into the rear tail light for the turn signal, will it sill work that way with out that adapter you installed? Will the tail light still illuminate when the turn signal is not on?

    • @NewcomerGarage
      @NewcomerGarage  Рік тому

      The taillights will still function as they are supposed to. As far as the question of if it will work without the adapter, the answer is no. If it worked properly without the adapter I wouldn't have used it. You need it to take the seperate input signals and safely output them to the taillight assemblies that weren't designed originally to operate as a combo tail/brake/turn signal.

    love your set up. can you help me on a decision ? trying to make a decision on Uforce 1000 or cf Moto 800 ATV

    • @NewcomerGarage
      @NewcomerGarage  3 роки тому

      Thanks! The CForce 800 is a good looking machine, and I'd love to get my hands on one, but I just cant justify the purchase right now personally. I got my UForce primarily to use in the winters to clear the snow in my driverway and a few others in the neighborhood. I've used my old Honda Foreman Rubicon for that for years, and finally got tired of being out in the elements while doing it, so I stepped into something I could put a cab and heater in. Id say your decision will depend on what you plan on using it for.

    • @guysmiley8473
      @guysmiley8473 3 роки тому

      I own a cforce 800 and uforce 800. I wasn't comfortable sitting in the uforce 1000 and it wouldn't fit on my trailer. If I had to choose between my machines I'd pick the uforce. It's decent on the trail, but I've used the bed for everything. A person could get a cforce and a little dump trailer that would fit behind it for the same cost if storing a little trailer isn't an issue. The cforce is big and you need to be a little flexible. My 9 year old prefers the atv because "I just does". Even though he just fits. I'm assuming it's because you feel like you're controlling it, kinda like riding a horse. The cforce is smoother on the trails due to having better suspension. It also can go through deeper mud holes and crawl out. They both have the same size tire, but you can muscle the atv around. My uforce 800 has a roof and windshield aftermarket, so following on the trails is nicer behind the protection. Hope that helps.
